Well today is my birthday. It's a hard one to have . Not in the fact that I am another year older, it's the actual timing of it. Ok so most people give themselves a treat on their birthday . The problem with mine is that I have been treating myself to holiday treats for a month now. Then of course there are the New Years resolutions just on the other side . You would think after 40+ years I would be used to it. Every year I get on the scale depressed cause I over indulged again and I a... Fri, 27 Dec 2013 08:59:08 EST What is going on? Nothing plain and simple. I am not really sure what has happened except the fact that I have lost my mojo I guess. No energy except to sit my butt on couch. Well the scale confirmed my lack of motivation this morning. It seems that I have gained 10 pounds since early December. Well if this body is going to Punta Cana in March that simply is unacceptable. So what do I do?
Thats easy get my butt back in gear. Our lives are crazy right now with the kids wacky schedule. However I hav... Mon, 21 Jan 2013 09:12:21 EST Here I go Again You know that song was my motivation when I started this. Personally I thought I needed an new theme song. This sone represented my battle with weight loss. You know the lose it, gain it, start another fad diet etc. Well I am happy to report thats not the case anymore.

This Saturday I will be running in my 7th 5K. The Jingle Bell Run is on the agenda. Its a race for Arthritis. Seems good cause since my body is loaded with it. Weather loos good and should be nice and flat with... Thu, 29 Nov 2012 06:55:30 EST Awesome Well ran another 5K yesterday. Let me tell you it was great. At first I was a little intimidated when I learned there were gonna be quite a few hills. 40 Most of the running that I have done has been all flat. So Ihad to overcome that anxiety. Once the race started that was all gone. First hill was staring me in the face (and feet). I powered through it and kept right on trucking. The race was very pretty. We ran through the Cedarhurst grounds which was very scenic. ... Sun, 21 Oct 2012 06:46:10 EST 1 down 2 more to go. Well I just completed another 5K. Let me tell you it was cold. Only 44 degrees out this morning. It took a whole mile for me to get warmed up. 1.5 miles for me to shed the jacket. The briskness of the air reminded me that if I want to continue running into the colder weather I need to invest in some clothes. Lees had their big sale so I did get me a real nice UA jacket that I can run in once it gets even chillier. Tried some pants they were a no go.

Anyway back to today's ru... Sat, 6 Oct 2012 12:23:57 EST GOTTA LIVE TOO Ok so yesterday was just that - another day in the our lives of hectic and crazy. Darling daughter had a volleyball tournament and dear son had a football game. Hence in two different directions we go again. So knowing whats going to happen I plan accordingly. Breakfast is all good. Snacks are packed and ready to roll. Lunch I know we are going to a place where I can make good choices. A walk is planned for when we return home that evening (so I can unwind). I am ready to conquer the... Sun, 30 Sep 2012 09:50:49 EST First Day of Fall WIth today beginning a new season, I thought I should reflect upon my current situation and evaluate my current goals. The other day I had the joy of reorganizing my closet. You know move all the summer skin out and bring in the "body suits". Wow are my clothes boring. I packed away slim waisted, shoulder barring and nice "tan" ones away and drug out sacks in essence. 39

Over the course of the summer I had earned most of those "skin" clothes. Unfortunately at ... Sun, 23 Sep 2012 07:35:56 EST SOOOOOO Close Well yesterday was goal day. I am happy to say that I did not quite make it. A mere 1.5 pounds away from goal. Sounds condescending to be excited about not making it but I am. You see in the past when I have "set goals" they seem to pass right by me without any change. That is to either my habits or my body. Lord only knows how many of those goals I have set.

This time it was different. Sparkpeople has truly helped me to realize what I needed to do to make the lifestyle c...
