I was doing well with my gut (I have diverticulosis that gets flared up sometimes). I had a huge binge (who didn't) on Thanksgiving weekend and then immediately changed my diet to the Live Fit plan. Not good. My gut immediate got inflamed and I have had 3 weeks of misery. Its been 2 1/2 weeks since I took my butt to the gym. I blew up like I was 40 months pregnant and my diverticulosis got all inflamed and I have been in pain for 2 weeks. I tried to stick with it and let my body adjust but its just not going to. Thus, I am going to return to eating my beans, salad, rice, chicken regimin that I was on to get my gut back in order. I am going to stay in the group and continue to do the workouts. All day I felt like I had a foggy brain. I couldn't concentrate on my work and I was less motivated because my energy level got lower as the day went on. Oh and I was kind of crabby. I did well on the eating plan until the end of the day and then I had a bunch of carbs. I am not going to feel guilty about over eating those carbs. I am not going to beat myself up. I feel like I am doing pretty good with the eating plan except my tummy is not happy with all this protein. I have been going to Body Pump classes at least 1 time per week for the past 2 months. I feel like I am starting to see some definition in my arms and shoulders and this does make me feel good. I can tell I am building muscle in my thighs under all that flab. But, the flab isn't starting to burn and my pant legs are getting tighter. ... I need the energy to keep up with him. So we joined a gym and I have been taking Body Pump classes. I love Body Pump! But, it makes me realize that I have had a lifetime of sitting on the couch watching tv. I want to feel good. I want to feel happy. I want to keep up with my child without feeling overwhelmed. It was a busy morning getting started. I had to get both boys ready and to daycare myself. Jordan had to go on to court at 8am. (We are both probation officers-not I was running late.
