Prep Work Today starts the Fall 5% Challenge. I completed the Summer 5% challenge without any weight loss, but I’m very motivated for the Fall 5% challenge because I want to reach my ultimate goal weight by the start of 2014. As of this morning, I’m only 9.6 pounds away!

Here is the pre-challenge checklist for the fall 5% challenge:
#1 Exercise: My plan
--Strength:
--Continue the 100 pushups challenge. Right now I’m up to 26 pushups in a day. I want to end ... Sat, 12 Oct 2013 06:36:15 EST Primal Lifestyle - Not for me right now So I did accomplish a few weeks on the Primal Lifestyle. BUT it is not for me right now.

I have a half marathon planned for November 3rd. I went out to do my long run and I just didn't have what it took. Not enough carbs in my system. Not enough stored glycogen.

I need to wait to try again until after my half-marathon is over.

BUT I did learn how to eat better quality food! I feel so much better with all the processed food eliminated from my diet!
<... Fri, 11 Oct 2013 06:00:05 EST Primal Lifestyle - Week 1 Complete I made it through my first week of my Primal Lifestyle. I have to say, I lost about 2 pounds and didn't feel deprived. I was far from perfect. I didn't get the exercise thing right (I just didn't "Lift Heavy Things") and I only ate Primal about 70% of the time. (The goal is 80%).

BUT I am happy with my results. 2 pounds gone without tracking food! (Or being hungry). I'm looking forward to week 2 - hopefully with similar results.

9/1 Weight = 144.4 pounds
9/... Sun, 8 Sep 2013 08:48:58 EST Primal Lifestyle - Prep Day Today is prep day for my trial of the primal lifestyle. I start tomorrow! (Even though I'm already choosing many of the more primal foods)

What I'm doing today to prepare:
1. Cleaning out my pantry and refrigerator. Making a shelf in the pantry just for me and my foods. (The rest of the family's things will be on the other shelfs -- that I will not pick my foods from.)
2. Collect some Primal Recipes and plan my menu for the week - including a grocery list.
3. ... Sat, 31 Aug 2013 07:37:53 EST Primal Lifestyle - Starting September 1st So, I have to say, I was a Weight Watchers girl to lose 40 pounds a few years ago. Over this past winter, I put about 10 pounds back on. I BECAME SO SICK OF COUNTING POINTS OR CALORIES!!! And the thought of eating all the chemicals from prepackaged “100 calorie packs” did not sit well with me either. So the beginning of August I tried the Primal Lifestyle for two weeks (prior to vacation) and I was SO satisfied. After struggling all summer, I lost some weight, rather effortlessly. Many ... Sat, 27 Jul 2013 08:34:32 EST Summer 5% Challenge Starting July 20th, I'm participating in a summer 5% challenge, trying to lose 5% of my body weight. I don't have my "official" weigh in yet - this will be this Friday. I run about 145 pounds, 5% would have me lose about 7 pounds - taking me to 138! I'd be thrilled to be in the 130's again.

Pre-challenge Assignments:
150 ASSIGNMENT #1: Are you ready?

Have you got your gym clothes, runners, water bottle, etc. ready to go?
YES! Tue, 2 Jul 2013 07:11:41 EST Edge the Ledge - Obstacle Course / Adventure Race 244 I completed my first obstacle course / adventure race. What a unique event! My time was pathetic, it took me 52 minutes to go 3 miles, BUT finished 25th out of 45. (Not as pathetic as I thought.)

One of my goals for 2013 were to complete 3 different types of races this year. Edge the Ledge Adventure Race was one of those goals! And I finished! (Now I just need to do "Dances with Dirt" July 13th a 10K trail run and "Race the Lake" a 90 mile bike ride.)
<BR... Fri, 28 Jun 2013 06:53:19 EST SMART Goals! My first blog post So I'm making my first blog post: I'm setting SMART goals for the next 12 weeks.

Overall, I'd like to lose 12 pounds, improve my 5K run time to under 26 minutes, and ride my bicycle 90 miles in "Race the Lake". To do these two items, I will...

1. TRACK every bite - lick - taste.
2. Consume a 500 calorie deficit from my calories needed to maintain my weight.
