I saw it repeatedly while at the hospital giving birth to my oldest son, back in the days of no cable! He was born over Christmas. When I say over Christmas; I mean a days worth of labor

PBS was the only station that was on 24 hours because they played that movie back to back from Christmas Eve to Midnight Christmas Day. I've seen the move. And even so, I really like it.

It's a great story. One where it remin... Fri, 26 Feb 2016 12:11:08 EST The One Where I'm The Driver! Are You? I met a friend at the bridge today, we had a great time, walking and talking. We talked more than we walked. It was a four mile walk, a four hour talk.

Having someone like minded gave me an opportunity to bounce alot of my thoughts off her and honestly I think we both have hours of blog material now! LOL And this is one of them....but I got to thinking about this particular part of our conversation and I hope it translates as well into blog as it did in person.

I hear th... Fri, 26 Feb 2016 12:06:44 EST The One Where I Tell You The Plan Several people have asked me how I lost the weight. What was my plan? What do I do now to maintain? I began on SparkPeople on 1200 calories a day. With 3 meals and 1-2 snacks. As I was more educated, learned more about what worked for me, I changed a few things up. I lost from 145 pounds to 122. I've fluctuated over the years but I generally hover around 125.

I wanted to up my game though. I didn't want to gain through half marathon training this time. I wanted to get to... Thu, 25 Feb 2016 23:47:49 EST The One Where I'm Sparkling (again) I have been away from spark for several years. I moved most of my blogs to my personal blog and ditched spark.

I left spark in the fall of 2012 after I had an accident and broke my arm. I couldn't work out. I couldn't prepare meals, let alone track them.

I started over on losing weight at the first of the year 2013. And I got down below my original goal weight. It took a lot of work. A lot of preparing. A lot of obsession over every bite o... Sat, 20 Feb 2016 12:28:04 EST The One About Gluten and Sugar and Salt Oh My!
As it turns out the college has a library!! When I pass by the library on the way to or from classes what I see is computer stations. Rows and rows and rows of computers. I've used study rooms in the library, still didn't see actual books.

Last week I asked the attendant if they have books and if so where are they? She directed me to a "back room" dimly lit. Scary!!

With a bit of trepidation I walked down the hall into the rows and rows of books. Not seein... Fri, 19 Feb 2016 21:04:41 EST The One Where There Are New Beginnings It's hard to say where this began really. Was it when I started running or was it when I began reading labels? Was it when I realized that nutrition has a lot to do with how I feel? It's possible. April 2009, I received news from my doctor that I needed to clean up my diet and get moving. I did just that and have continued for nearly seven years. (my 7 year Sparkversary is coming up!) I've researched how to become a registered dietitian off and on over the years. I want to help people, ... Thu, 18 Feb 2016 22:24:13 EST And I'm Back!! 2015 was long and hard and filled with heartache. Running got me through it. I was training for a marathon when I injured my knee. 01/09/16. Training stopped.

I started physical therapy, thankful I don't need surgery. I have four more weeks and I'll start over with running.

I'm back to using the MRTT 12-week Run Builder Program. And tracking on SP! :)

I look forward to being back and making progress. Wed, 17 Feb 2016 22:59:23 EST What have you done with your hair? I get this question a lot lately. At first I found it odd. Why are people asking about my hair. Honestly I haven't changed it AT ALL in the past 2 years. I've grown it out so it fits nicely in a pony tail when I run. The color hasn't changed much. A little more blonde or a little less blonde. Nothing drastic, very subtle.

My Mother in Law is my hair dresser and I know many of her clients. I don't see them very often, but when I do they ask me, What have you done with your h... Mon, 16 May 2011 09:26:39 EST I AM Wo-MAN I AM Wo-MAN!! Mon, 2 May 2011 11:36:21 EST All Things In Moderation (what I learned from the no-sugar challenge) Two years ago TODAY, I got on the treadmill and began walking. And eventually began running. I've run a few races. I've trained. I've gotten better, faster and stronger. I've logged my food and I've changed a lot of what I think about food.

What began as a Lent commitment ended as a new thought on what I put into my body.
Here is a sample of what I had two years ago:

Coffee with full fat creamer and sugar. I'll have to try to get the re-cap done quickly.

The ARD meeting went well. It's of course not what I want for the kiddo. No one wants this in their childs permanent record, but it is what it is. I think this will help him to close some gaps up that he's missing. Mon, 25 Apr 2011 10:28:22 EST What's that popping sound? If anyone knows, please tell me! LOL

Twice when I have done my Wednesday Circuit with lots of plank poses and mountain climbers I've experienced a popping in my hip.

And when I say hip, I don't mean my hip joint. I mean more like the front of my pelvis? The hip flexor maybe? I'm not sure what it is or what to say it is. The lower back/hip/pelvic portion of my body.

The first time it was a bit painful and on my left side. Today it was my right side.... Wed, 20 Apr 2011 15:19:29 EST Soo I upped my protein and added some dairy now I'm a COW!! I've gained weight and MAJOR bloat since I upped my protein. I achieved some of this by adding dairy. Greek yogurt. Ricotta Cheese.

For instance I had some Greek yogurt and cantaloupe for my afternoon snack. I feel like I should be giving birth to a calf at.any.moment!! I am a big bloated cow!! I bet I've blown up 2-3 inches.

I'm gassy and just overall feel GA-ROSS!!

I'm not sure how I'll get the extra protein, but for sure it won't be from dairy. :(. ... As stated in my other blog, I think I'm finally "back together". I think I've been having out of body experiences for the past year! It's been 363 days since I fell and busted my knee which basically sent me on 6-9 months of recovery. Every time I thought I was better and could run, basically I would be in some sort of pain and back to recovery I'd go!

I've been pain free for the most part for a while. 3-4 months.
