I know that I am more than the number on it but yet, that number makes or breaks my day.

I made a New Year's resolution, which I don't normally do, to do weight AND measurements every Wednesday morning. I have stayed true to that resolution and noticed that my weight may not change, much, my measurement do. Since January 1st, I have only lost 3lbs but lost 6 inches(total) from my chest, waist and hips.

I ... Sat, 18 Jan 2014 20:27:47 EST Fear of the unknown I sit here wondering why my body is hating me right now. I am off to the sports doctor tomorrow to have my knee looked at. I am beyond terrified of what I am going to find out. Deep down I have a feeling that something is torn; either meniscus or something else. I am praying, that whatever it is, it is a short rehab period.

I have gone from running 60-80+ miles per week to not running at all. It has been extremely hard for me to not run. I was able to walk(about 11 minute mi... Tue, 10 Dec 2013 20:23:46 EST Ugh...strained quad muscle Went to the doctor today and found out I have a strained quad muscle, which is causing my knee pain. I have only been able to run once a week since I finished my last marathon on October 20th. I was told to make sure I stretch, foam roll and walk briskly for a week. Then to try running and see how it feels. I was able to run, 3 miles, the last 2 days but tried today and was only able to get a mile before I had to walk another 2 miles. Walking does not bother me, neither does doing T25. ... Tue, 26 Nov 2013 18:55:18 EST How good it feels to laugh On Monday evening, my children reminded me what it felt like to laugh. I had to made a dessert for my husband to take to work on Tuesday. First, my 11 year old son made brownies, all by himself. After we had made them, I realized that they wouldn't be enough, so I decided to make a cake too. After I got the cake going, I decided to cut the brownies, which I was glad, because as I cut them the center came with the knife. I decided to keep the brownies home and let my children nibble on th... Wed, 20 Nov 2013 21:21:40 EST Still healing after Boston On October 20th, I ran my first marathon since Boston, it did not go well. My time was 3:54:57, which isn't horrible, but for me it is. I had been sick with a stomach bug, since Thursday, so I had not eaten much. I had also been nursing a sore right thigh. So, physically I was not 100% and knew it. Little did I realize, emotionally, I was nowhere near ready to be running.

My emotions were in check until I hit mile 25. As I look back now, subconsciously, I don't think that I w... Sun, 3 Nov 2013 19:57:56 EST 2013 Boston Experience...kinda long(sorry) I am not sure how to even start this blog. I can honestly say that I never thought I would run the Boston Marathon. Heck, I never thought I would run a marathon, period. My first marathon was October 2011, BQ with 3:38 and some odd minutes. My 2nd marathon was May 2012, BQ with 3:34:50.

I guess a little back story is in order, since this is the first time that I have blogged. I started running(seriously) in August of 2010. I had run off and on since about 1996, nothing more t... Sat, 27 Apr 2013 10:33:09 EST
