My husband did not realize it had to be used online and could not be used in the stores. Well, I finally ordered a couple of things on sale and was horrified that size medium was just WAY too big. I could probably live with the yoga pants being big, but I was just swimming in the slouch pants. I think it is crazy that I have to order a size small, just to be happy with the fit. Admittedly, not from the actual store, but from a discount name brand clothing company that sells things at 75% of retail. I am dumbfounded that I wear a size 4 in their jeans and the only reason I bought a pair of their pants in size 6 was because I could not find a size 4 at the discount store! Wed, 6 Oct 2010 15:49:44 EST Beware of the 1 point microwave cake recipe http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3693808 The recipe for a 1 point microwave cake in a mug has been spreading like wildfire in weight watchers meetings. Basically, you mix one box of angel food cake mix with one box of any other cake mix and store. When you are ready to make some, measure out 1/3 of a cup of the dry mix into a microwave safe mug, add 3 tablespoons of water and stir. Microwave on high for one minute. He is just so sweet and taking every opportunity to curl up with mommy or play with mommy...even if I am asleep! Tiny Bertie will pull my hand if I am asleep and not paying attention to him. LOL <BR> <BR> We made the final decision today to keep him and give him a forever home. I called the person who was... Fri, 14 May 2010 22:38:38 EST The dog has an interesting side effect http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3225524 The latest rescue is having an interesting effect on the pack. Since he got here, Rudy (our VERY sick dachshund) has been eating better and has not had any episodes of vomiting or diarrhea. I contacted someone who was interested in adopting him and gave her the full report about his lack of house training. I wanted to be very up front with her, since dogs are frequently turned out for failure to be trained. The longer Burty is here, the less likely I am to let him go, despite his status a... Thu, 13 May 2010 11:09:01 EST Abandoned dog http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3220157 Well, looks like we are adopting an abandoned doxy mix! His legs are long and he has a little under bite, so I think he might have a little min-pin or feist in there. We are getting attached to him very quickly, so I find myself sort of hoping that no one pops up claiming to be his owner. I took him to the vet this afternoon and he is in pretty good health, except for an enlarged lymph node from tick bites. He was prescribed antibiotics and given all of his shots, including a rabies vacci... Tue, 11 May 2010 22:27:49 EST Walkies! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3212137 We are averaging two miles a day with the dogs, six or seven days a week...depending on the weather. Well, actually...we are doing a half mile with four of the dogs and two miles with just Roscoe. It is finally starting to make a difference for him! He looks like he is losing a little weight. Rudy is too sick to do the whole two miles and the other boys are too old, they will do the walk, but then they will be miserable with joint pain. I really do look forward to being able to take Ros... Sun, 9 May 2010 22:03:50 EST Good day with friends http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3209212 Despite the storms that hit Yazoo City, we went up there to visit our friend today. We toured the hardest hit areas, ate lunch and went back to her house to stitch. I feel so bad for all of the people who had damage to their homes, businesses and property. I am so thankful that my friend's home was not damaged. Tornadoes are such unpredictable things. Sat, 8 May 2010 21:48:22 EST Just do it http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3206627 I did not want to go to the gym today, I did not enjoy my belly dancing as much as I usually do, then I got on the elliptical and within ten minutes, I was ready to go home. I stuck it out for an hour, but I was miserable and ready to go home. When I did get home, I was still miserable, but I went outside and continued working on picking up the limbs and debris in my back yard. When we took the dogs for a walk, I was hoping that my husband would balk and we would just do the half mile walk... Fri, 7 May 2010 22:22:35 EST
