I think my biggest trouble goal is eating right on the weekends, and keeping track of the calories in general (whether I am meeting or exceeding them).

I know the main cause is that we tend to eat out on the weekends. Although restaurants have made great attempts to post their nutritional information online, it's still not always possible to track what I ate. In addition,... Tue, 9 Mar 2010 10:13:47 EST I'm so glad it's Friday! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2963604 It's not that I don't love my job, because I do. For three days this week I got paid to conduct archaeological surveys near the beach with my boyfriend. Everyday, the weather was beautiful, and I was getting a great workout! But as I sit here, I'm very tired, and I'm glad that tomorrow will only entail walking around Santa Barbara instead of up and down sand dunes covered with iceplant.

I'm also happy that I walked across a railroad trestle for the last time for a while (I hope). ... Fri, 5 Mar 2010 20:01:34 EST One of those days http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2960254 Today was just one of those days where lots of little annoying things happened. I forgot my work boots in the morning, so we had to stop at the apartment on the way out to the field. The people at the historical society kept asking me if I was working on a school project. I'm 29! I kept tripping over things and having to back track.

BUT, I didn't let it get me down. I just kept smiling and kept going. Maybe it's all the sunshine we get in California. Honestly, there were a lot of ... Thu, 4 Mar 2010 23:19:19 EST A sunny day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2956041 What a busy day! After the usual workout and pilates this morning, Chris and I had a 45 minutes hike, in the sand, to our first site this morning. But it was a beautiful day out, so it didn't even feel like I was working. The major highlight was walking across the railroad bridge. The drop was pretty high, but I kept telling myself, "You can do this!" I also took time to pause and appreciate the great view of the ocean. Luckily we took the low road back, because a train came through. Phew! <... Thu, 4 Mar 2010 00:36:53 EST A rainy day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2948164 So far the day is going well. The exercise room was pretty warm, but I powered through my workout. I'm really enjoying focusing on the amount of calories I burn instead of how many minutes I'm exercising. I don't feel as tired, but I'm still a little worried that it won't produce the desired result.

Even though it's rainy, I still walked to work. At first it was drizzly. Nothing an umbrella and raincoat couldn't handle. Then it picked up for the last 5 minutes of my walk. But I did... Tue, 2 Mar 2010 12:07:21 EST A new month, a new challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2945967 I'm participating in the improve your emotional health challenge for March, and this week our challenge is to write in a journal every day this week. I thought I might as well publish it as a blog so I'll always have access to it. I used to keep a journal when I was younger, but all that handwriting became a chore, so I quit. Mid-sentence even. Anyway, this will be public, but not all of it will make sense because it's mostly my stream of thought whenever I decide to sit down and write. End d... Mon, 1 Mar 2010 23:04:40 EST Venting http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2772057 I've been using SparkPeople to track my calories burned and eaten on and off for about three and half years now. I really like the calorie and fitness trackers, and when I've been consistent, it shows. I've yo-yoed a bit on my journey to 150 pounds, but the good thing is that I've had a net loss of seven pounds since January 2008. I enjoy the articles and exercise videos on this website, and have been surprised to learn a few things. Before I found SparkPeople, it felt like I was reading the ... Wed, 20 Jan 2010 12:11:51 EST
