So sick of feeling tired when you wake up after 8+ hours of sleep, exhausted during the day n finishing the day being tired.
I'm not entirely sure... Sun, 17 Aug 2014 06:17:09 EST Sinus op http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5756156 Okay so I have had my two pre-op appointments but still no actual date yet (hoping for it to come next week. Fingers crossed.
So my op is opening my Ethmoid and Maxillary sinus openings using FESS.
Has anybody had this before?
Just wondering if anybody knows how long I should be off the gym for, got told to ask specialist but it might be 4-6 weeks yet if you google it says 2 weeks?
Hoping its my miracle cure so I can feel energetic and relatively pain-free and don't need ... Sat, 9 Aug 2014 07:31:20 EST Results. . . At last! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5735820 What a mission to get stuff done with my sinus!
It's taken months of nagging the drs n being pushy with the hospital ( by ringing n asking where my appointments are) and finally I have gotten back to an appointment with my ENT specialist after my CT scan ( the most disappointing 5 minutes of my life, thought that would be exciting!)
Yay nothing scary or unusual in my sinus, just normal narrow drainage that she wants to enlarge, she only recommends it as she thinks I will get a good ... Thu, 10 Jul 2014 06:55:40 EST So I get to be a bridesmaid! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5689483 Last thing I want is my fat arse (and potentially the rest of me) in a photo!
Sigh looks like I better use this as my motivation for losing a DECENT amount of weight.
at least it isn't till September next year, but still.
She has picked out her wedding dress and wanted me to hand over measurements for my dress. lol not likely! I WILL be skinnier if it is the last thing I do! Well not literally THE last thing I do but you know. . ..
I told her she would need to get me anoth... Wed, 7 May 2014 06:16:52 EST Yay more progress on my sinuses http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5689480 Yay 16 days until I get a CT Scan on my sinus.
Lol I am so excited, I just know I'm annoying everyone.
You should see the looks I get at work when I do my countdown of "Yay! Only . . . . days till my scan", I'm sure to get someone asking if it's for a baby because of how excited I am.
Yep I am weird, I get excited for medical appointments! Only because FINALLY something is getting done & (fingers crossed) it might get fixed.
Oh yea I don't think I updated on my specialist... Wed, 7 May 2014 06:07:46 EST Specialist appointment at last! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5645915 Finally after nearly 6 months of sinus pain n having tried different meds to sort it, I got my appointment card yesterday n have my appointment next week on Wednesday. I am so excited that I am sure to be annoying at work, I'm already doing my countdown.
Here's hoping that they find out what's causing the inflammation n pain on the first visit (n fingers crossed that he will tell me to stop taking antibiotics) Wed, 12 Mar 2014 06:31:01 EST Tests n more tests http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5553173 Sigh I have been having tests done to see what is up with my sinuses, apart from being super inflamed!
Allergy skin prick tests - nothing came up, literally!
Sinus hurt so head back n ask dr 'is it polyps? Could there be another infection? I'm exhausted so have I got low iron?' So I get another course of antibiotics, a blood test and a referral letter to ENT specialist. But should I be the one suggesting possible treatments?
Thankfully I think the antibiotics are helping, had a... Sat, 30 Nov 2013 03:38:41 EST To me, good health means. . . http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5540507 Being fit is way to obvious! But having my hayfever/sinus pain under control enough that I don't feel exhausted and slightly out of breath when literally just sitting because I can't breathe through my nose as usual, that's what good health means to me at the moment Wed, 13 Nov 2013 21:19:06 EST Hardest healthy habit to stick to http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5484888 Water? No that's an easy one. Exercise? In my old mind set that it had to be at least 30min, I would have said yes but now I just keep in mind at least 10 so that's easy to stick to. Eating? If you are really organized it can be super easy and even not being organized its still relatively easy. Sleeping? Yes that would be the hardest healthy habit, getting 7-8 hrs sleep consistently when I find it hard to wind down before 11pm, sometimes even later and then getting up early enough to squeeze ... Fri, 13 Sep 2013 20:07:39 EST Reading the Spark http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5478311 Finally reading the Spark. I bought the Spark and the Spark Solution a little while ago and keep meaning to make a start.
Amazing how motivating it is, I'm only up to starting chapter 3 at the moment but I felt so motivated and energetic today. It was awesome and I definetly recommend this book for everyone! Sat, 7 Sep 2013 04:26:17 EST iPhone Sparkpeople apps http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5473138 I seem to have an old version of the iPhone app and was just wondering if anybody has had that and has changed to the newer one. Old one was free n new one has a charge which is fine but how different from each other are they? I currently use mapmywalk app but GPS function on sparkpeople app sounds easier than using two seperate apps Mon, 2 Sep 2013 03:40:44 EST I know I've had a good workout when http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5470077 I end up a bit hyper and fully annoying to my workmates lol. Literally brimming with excess energy n have to find stuff to tidy (I work in retail- it's like a discount store so busy anyway)
Yep that's what a good workout does to me lol Thu, 29 Aug 2013 16:27:49 EST If I had an xtra hour a day, what would I do? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5468484 Hmm well that's got to be the easiest thing to answer eh.
I would spend it at the gym.

Yes that's right, the whole hour would be spent there. A few years ago, before the dreaded weight gain, I lost heaps of weight by doing weights n a lot of cardio. I did get slightly addicted, but would like to think that I know better now. But info couldn't do the gym it'd be spent outside for an hour walk I suppose. Wed, 28 Aug 2013 02:56:46 EST If scales didn't exist, I would know I was healthier by . . . http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5466166 Well simply by feeling amazing, hopefully looking amazing, having more energy n not feeling the need to snack continuously through the day lol.
Feeling amazing would be no muscle twinges after a long day, waking up feeling super refreshed every day n wanting to do heaps n heaps of exercise ( I have been there n it was amazing)
Hopefully looking amazing will be having that healthy glow that exercising gives, being smaller than what I am currently and being what I think should be th... Sun, 25 Aug 2013 21:49:28 EST Am I a 'glass half empty' or a 'glass half full'? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5460631 Lol seriously depends on the day and where in the month I am. . .
I would like to think I am 'glass half full' in personality, especially if I'm getting exercise ( I really love the endorphin buzz ) or lots of sun (love love summer). Tue, 20 Aug 2013 05:03:50 EST Setting an end date http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5455346 I've been thinking hard about what date I should use for getting to my weight target. Using 1.5lb per week as a target I'm thinking 29 April 2015 since I'm aiming to lose just over 60kg (over 132lb). It'd be nice for it to happen faster but that thinking might set me up for failure Wed, 14 Aug 2013 18:30:28 EST Single sentence for today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5454436 Forced myself out of bed and to this gym for 25 min workout and aiming for 25-30 min walk after work, lol I have however hit my post workout energy slump sigh Tue, 13 Aug 2013 21:30:22 EST Today's feeling in one sentence http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5453525 Though I have done 15 min activity, still feel that it hardly contributes. Tue, 13 Aug 2013 01:43:07 EST Hard healthy habits http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5450455 Why is it so hard to stick to healthy habits?
I mean bad food just tastes soo good & tho I know better, it's just so much easier to sleep than go to the gym.
But as I need to get healthier and lose weight, guess I just need to wake up earlier & eat better. Thankfully summer will be good motivation Sat, 10 Aug 2013 00:33:55 EST Yay back at gym http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5449494 2 days at the gym & so far so good. Starting with building up the cardio minutes first then will chuck in 2-3 days of weights after a fortnight of the cardio I'm thinking

Fri, 9 Aug 2013 01:50:41 EST First flood experience - scary! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5331326 Last night was simply the most scariest experience ever.
It had been raining for 3 days prior, and then yesterday it just got heavier and then the lightening started. At first you just think, oh yea just a wee bit of water laying around and then you do something and then you look back out and find the back yard covered.
You then go to the front and find that not only is the front yard covered in water but its pouring down the drive like a river. So scary!!
Thankfully the wate... Mon, 22 Apr 2013 07:06:38 EST What an odd place to find 'spark guy' http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5328011 Was making a vision collage using a collage app so it's not all bits n pieces n glue(bit too messy for me).
I was getting some good pictures in it & just needed a couple more & entered 'healthy curves' as I am curvy & will no doubt be like that when the weight comes off. I was a bit shocked to find amongst pictures of healthy curvy women, spark guy.
