Last night I pushed myself harder the I could ever had imagined. I ran, well shuffled lol, an entire 5K. This is a big thing for me. I have been trying to accomplish being a real runner for two years now, ever since my first 5K. There was always something though, something holding me back. Deep down inside my head, I was holding myself back. I wasn't good enough to run, my knee was too injured.. the excuses went on for a long time.

Boyfriend has been bugging me t... Typically for my "30 by 30" goal I didn't want to do the same 5K's over and over again but I'm making an exception on this one. BF wanted to do it quite badly, and you got a Bloody Mary at the end.. his favorite!

I had been nervous the whole week, midly freaking out inside about it. Running races had always been my thing. It was my time to just do it and i didn't have to worry about anyone else. Well, other then my mom wh... Thu, 3 Apr 2014 10:07:32 EST Another weekend for the books. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5655188 Another fantastic weekend is in the record books folks. This past Friday, me and the BF headed up north to Brainerd, MN so I could meet his Dad and some of his friends from high school. I had to work at 6:30am Friday so I slept most of the way up, but it still was fun. His dad is a really nice guy and we seemed to be okay with each other, unlike the BF's mom. She really doesn't like me, but that's a story for another blog. His friends were cool too. For a while I have been playing to closet j... Mon, 24 Mar 2014 09:32:45 EST The Final Countdown. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5641192 I'm known to change my mind on alot of things. It's quite bad. When I'm not at work, I become the most indesisive person in the world. Boyfriend will ask me all the time of what i want to do/eat/see/watch, and usually I go with "whatever." It drives him nuts, but I make huge decisions at work all day. By the end, I just go with the flow.

In these past, almost four, years I have changed my mind about my final weight goal. 155, 180, 160.. it goes on and on. But I have decided. My fin... Nike and Bath and Body Works. You best believe I enjoyed it! With race season coming up, I knew I needed to get new shoes. My feet have been hurting lately so it was time for something new.

Now I am a Nike Free junkie. I love them and if I could buy a new pair every paycheck I would. Between work, family and my lack of effort, I just forgot. I tried semi hard to drop down to 199 by Valentine's Day, but when you don't put in the effort you cannot expect results. But, hey, i'm here not willing to give up the fight!

I did have a lovely Valentine's Day though, everything I could have ever wanted. I think boyfriend has a lot to do with that. To say I am smitten with him would be an understatement. He is the best, and probably a one and only for me. I plan on keeping him around for a long time.

We spoke around New Year's about maybe running away for a weekend to a B&B in our area. Probably my most favorite yet. I got to spend it with my family, friends and boyfriend and there isn't much more you could ask for. E got to meet my loud, crazy family for the first time and passed with flying colors. Christmas Day was spend with my niece and nephew in the morning, my dad in the afternoon and bits and pieces of my family in the evening followed by wine and an epic Apples to Apples battle. Need... Not sure why I make those, I had plans, I hate following a workout guide. I think I am too ADD for that crap :) I've been busting out Wii Zumba lately, and it's been a complete blast! I got it for Christmas last year, but never used it. Why, i have no clue! Really I only like three songs on there currently, so I just created a playlist of those a bunch of times. Works well. :)

Even though I ate some major fast food this we... Mon, 23 Dec 2013 10:24:57 EST When you know you need to make a change. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5563424 So last month was a big change to my system. After 8 years of smoking, I finally quit. Luckily, I've had no issues with it, nor have I even wanted one, but the effect on things going into my mouth has been drastic. I didn't notice it at first, but I have been eating a lot more. Plus, to top it off, I'm back on birth control. Now I've never had good luck with any sort of birth control, but I really don't want a child right now, so I have to do it.

Talk about the perfect mix to scre... Like 6 months if you want to get technical. Far too long in my book and it probably explains why I'm back up to 200 again. But I'll get to that later.

I ran my last 5K in June, and holy hannah the pain was unbearable. So in July I finally went into the doc to try and get help with my knee. After xrays, MRI's and some poking and prodding, they come to think I have a severe case of runner's knee. Do I believe them? No. I honestly don't. But I have put my rig... It was so bad my hands were shaking while I was trying to text. What is it you ask?

I ran two miles last night without stopping to walk.

Yup, you heard that correctly. I ran, without stopping. Okay, that's a lie. I stopped after the first mile to chug some water and reset my RunKeeper and then I took off again. I just can't believe it, I really can't! Last time we failed horribly at finding the quarry, so it would be a challenge this time. Such a beautiful day for a mini hike too. I always push her hard when we go for walks like this. Oy, I didn't know my body could sweat THAT much. Since I got it in my head that I am going to do a 5 mile run, it was treadmill time. Lately the gym has been super dead. Not that I am complaining, I actually like it. I typically go into the womens room. Not that I am self concious, its just very quiet in there. I don't have to care about anything. I pushed out those 2 miles HARD. Running sprints at 6.5 mph and such. Holy hardcore. I'm pretty sure the cute gr... I am wearing very tight jeans that give me a muffin top. Now, don't worry, people cannot see this. Due to it being so cold inside and out, my fleece jacket covers it up. But you are probably wondering why. I mean, who wears muffin top jeans and is proud to blog about it?

When I woke up today, feeling excited about another .4 pound drop, I looked at these jeans. Even as a kid, group settings scared the freak out of me. I remember my birthday parties where I would literally hide in my room because of all the people, noise, everything. Even though I don't show it now, groups still freak the freak out of me. My mom and I literally got into a pretty horrible fight a month ago, due to this. It was a small class too, only 8 of us. Wowza! The teacher was really nice and friendly, but not sure if I liked her class. I'm used to zumba with those moves "single, single double". I had that small little spark back in the day when I first started. It was there, gleaming like the North star, but after losing 30 pounds, and making the dumb decision to get a boyfriend for 6 weeks, my Spark star was hit by a meteor and never to return again.

Flash forward now, to about 15 months, and the star is still missing. Well, to a point. It's beamed for a couple of days for me trying ... Tue, 16 Oct 2012 09:43:30 EST Lost in a blanket of ribbon.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5067738 Seriously, where did the time go?! It's almost October! That it just behind scary! I feel like I haven't blogged on here in forever. I have good reason though, LIFE. Darn you adult duties. Things have been a blur lately. Right now i am deep into some craft projects. Remember those princess headbands? Yup, I am working on those. After spending two days and 5 stores later, I finally have (mostly) all the colors for the characters. I whipped out 4 of them in the last two days, and I picked the e... Thu, 20 Sep 2012 11:30:50 EST Warrior Dash race report - Hugo, MN (Long) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5055958 Oh lordy, what a day. And what fun!

Intially my brother and I signed up for this one a week before and got the last wave, 4:30. Thank you groupon! Yes, we probably were a little crazy for signing up so late, but that's the people we are!!

It was about a 2 hour drive there so we headed out early. This time though, I packed ALOT lighter then I did with the zombie run. Only one pair of clothes and some shoes. So much easier to carry! We were able to share one one bag inste... Wed, 12 Sep 2012 11:56:37 EST Goals for the Warrior Dash.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5047413 Pretty simple goals for this race.

1.) Don't die.
2.) Don't break a bone.
3.) Don't get a hospital bill.
4.) HAVE FUN!

We signed up for the Warrior Dash on a whim. Groupon was offering such a good deal, why not?! Now though, we are somewhat regretting it. My brother and I are both broke, and I am battling a sun burn, but eh, cannot back out now!

We luckily do start our wave til 4:30, so I hope everything goes okay. Cannot wait to get that ... Thu, 6 Sep 2012 17:18:23 EST Fun Things planned ahead.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5037437 Picture blog, wooo!

I have my family get together this weekend, plus we are celebrating my mom's birthday. Going out to dinner! May sound corny, but we haven't done that in, geesh, probably over a year. She wants mexican. Oh yea. My niece and I plan to make her a cat cake, like below. French is her baby so I think it will be fun, hope it turns out.

Hope I get a good tan this weekend!
<BR... Thu, 30 Aug 2012 12:28:58 EST Race Report #7 "Run for Rachel" http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5019719 Heads up, this one is a photo bomb.

So I wrote this ALL out, before I got my results. Definitely have to change it now!! (Hence my status)

When I first picked out this race, it was good. It was a non kid weekend for us, so I was able to just move at my own pace. Little did I know, my evil ex SIL decided to change, so we ended up having the kids. 2 small children, my brother who worked until midnight the night before, and having to be at a race by 8am in a town that... Fri, 17 Aug 2012 16:40:09 EST Oh what big eyes you have & the geocaching misfits. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5018225 So I woke up yesterday to what looks to be a blood vessel that had popped in my eye. Lovely. Had a nice druggie look to it. It was more towards the corner near my nose. All day long both eyes felt strained, dry and just nasty. I thought they were going to pop out of my head.

Today now, I woke up to see that the lovely red streak/blob has moved closer to the center of my eye. Does that sound right to you all, to have this thing move? I have never experienced this before. Today, the... Thu, 16 Aug 2012 14:31:22 EST Shoot em up. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5015084 * I am starting to LOVE my legs. I was at the library yesterday, and bending over. I put my hands on the back of my thighs, holy hannah those things are built. Can't wait to get them bigger.

* STILL waiting for my results, if they will even send them. I loved the smaller group races I have done the past two times, but its time to go back to chip timed races. I need to know my times!

* With that, I am sensing a stopwatch in a WATCH form on my shopping list Friday. Sure, m... Tue, 14 Aug 2012 12:14:54 EST I'm the Flash. (and race goals). http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5009456 So apparently I need to run in the rain more often. 12:43min/mile last night! I only did 2.2 miles because I was a bit freaked out. Thunder, cold rain, wind, and not a damn person on the trail. Very scary. I think that pushed me to move faster. Seems I flew! First time in a LONG time too that I was cold running. Short shorts, flimsy tank and a sports bra don't help with rain. But oh well, thats a 12:43 mile! I am sensing 11 minutes by the end of the month.

I telling you, its these... Fri, 10 Aug 2012 09:45:41 EST Have no fear, the flying E is here! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5006563 Wow.

I had an amazing run yesterday. Oh wee, I am still smiling about it. I really didn't want to go out after work last night, kind of hot (86 degrees) and I was tired from work, but I know I had to do it, I have a mileage goal to hit!

I got newer shoes to wear over the weekend, and they helped like no other. I felt like I was floating! They still are newer so have to break them in but it was awesome. My last shoes, while are super comfy, feel like they are weighing me ... Wed, 8 Aug 2012 11:55:16 EST
