Was exhausted and my back was screaming but I got it done and it did not suck!
lol Today I did yoga but it will be a rest and regeneration day on the whole going home to read a book and eat lunch soon. Race day is tomorrow , 7pm. Think of me.
pj Thu, 20 Aug 2009 12:29:33 EST FEELING GREAT! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2322846 Well I was able to do my first entire spin class in over 2 months yesterday and again this morning and my knee is finally healed! Yeah no popping out of place and the ligament in the back of my knee is not tight so that is great. I was able to work very hard in spin again for the 1st time since having surgery in October of last year, so I am hopeful again that the numbers on the scale and my clothing size will again be moving down. I run the course for my 1st 5 k tonight with my friend LIsa... Mon, 17 Aug 2009 13:29:50 EST knee is mending, did 1/2 a spin class! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2312909 Today I attempted to do the expresso fitness bike but my quads and hams were tired, so I thought well lets see if I can get through 1/2 a spin class. I Did! My knee was tight behind it afterwards but it did not pop out while up in the pedals so that is good. will try a full one Sunday if my knee stays good.
I am wiped out. Will only do pilates tomorrow and ride my bike to the gym and see if I can rest up for my run with the running club on Saturday.
Thu, 13 Aug 2009 14:28:35 EST got refitted in my running shoes today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2306636 Well I went back to Fleet Feet today and had Al the owner work on fitting me into my running shoes for over an hour. he put some new inserts in them that help to correct my oversupination ( putting my weight on the outside of my foot ), he says my left leg is longer than my right and my right leg is compensating for that misfit by oversuppinating, says my left leg and foot have to swing out a bit as well. I will wear mole skin and blister bandages again when I do our last group training sessi... Tue, 11 Aug 2009 13:50:38 EST bandaged feet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2297957 Well this has certainly been a challenge for me I had not anticipated with the running and tarining to run/walk my frist 5k. I have been getting blisters and rubbing off the skin on my ankles, and heels today I put blister bandages on my blisters, mole skin on the areas that rub in my shoes and then taped my feet up. I didn't run full force until the last 1/4 mile and had a slow time but I got through my 3.25 run/walk training today without new blisters so that is a plus, race is in two weeks... Sat, 8 Aug 2009 11:42:14 EST YEHAW! I am back! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2234073 I am feeling so much better today! I was able to run/walk my 2.85 miles for training for the 5k in 36 minutes today and could have kept going. Also did 7.8 miles on the expresso bike and rode my bike to and from the gym for another hour of cardio , also did yoga this morning. Not nauseated at all today and slept very well last night. So good to be feeling better after having a RSD flare last week.
YEAHAW!
pj Thu, 16 Jul 2009 12:58:36 EST
