I'm excited. The big prize is a Vita-mix blender. It's definitely worth trying to be creative for a Vita-mix. I've been lusting after this blender for ages, and the only way I'm gonna get one is if I win it, cause they run about $450 for the basic model. But it's powerful! They're supposed to be able to blend through ice and everything. And maybe if I had one I could make my mayo in the blender without it ... Mon, 2 Nov 2009 19:38:29 EST I'm so close to my goal, but I'm still not happy with my body. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2444025 I have 18-19 pounds to go. And I still feel huge. I'm a little concerned that I'm gonna get to 120, and I'm still not gonna look like I want to. My thighs and upper arms still have a huge amount of fat on them. Seriously, my arms are like, disfigured. There's stretch marks all over them, and the skin is loose, and there's still lots of fat. My boyfriend tells me that it's not that I have MORE fat on my arms than most people, but he thinks it's just because my skin is stretched, so th... Thu, 1 Oct 2009 11:36:36 EST I've started exercising! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2184008 I'll admit it. I've lost almost 120 pounds without exercising. Partly because I have bad knees and I'm afraid of hurting them. However, a big part is sheer laziness. It's just EASIER to stay on the couch with my laptop and TV.

You don't have to exercise to lose weight. I'm living proof. However, you do have to exercise to be healthy. It's time for me to take that to heart.

I bought Coach Nicole's Cardio Blast DVD. Wow, one of her 10 minute workouts really ... Fri, 26 Jun 2009 23:34:23 EST I'm clumsy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2114647 I made something called "chicken stir fry stew" for dinner tonight. I found the recipe in a new cookbook. It was pretty good. So, after dinner I put the leftovers in the fridge. My fridge is such a mess right now. There's not much room. I opened the door later and the pot of leftover stew falls all over the floor. I kind of freaked out over it. Partially because I didn't have anything else to do for dinner tomorrow, and partly because that was a really nice Le Creuset pot that my m... Tue, 2 Jun 2009 00:24:38 EST sigh http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2092413 I thought I put grapes in the nutrition tracker. I didn't, but I ate some anyway. So, I had to take away another snack to not go over in calories. Now I'm hungry and watching the clock waiting until dinner. Grrr. Mon, 25 May 2009 20:42:03 EST I'm feeling much better http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2054069 I was sick for a couple of weeks, but I seem to be fully recovered now. It's so nice to be able to swallow with no pain again. I decided to stop counting calories while I was sick, in hopes of recovering faster. I did gain a pound, but I don't feel bad about it. I started counting my calories again today, and I must say I'm surprised at how easy it was for me to get back on track. I was half expecting to have a meltdown wherein I eat half the kitchen, but it never materialized. Mon, 11 May 2009 21:59:07 EST Bloggy thing... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2035254 I'm supposed to do a blog once a week for the community team. I'm really just not a very big blogger, though. So, these will probably not be very long... We're having chicken salad tonight, made from yesterday's leftover garlic roast chicken. It's a bit more calorie laden than I was expecting, but hopefully will be good. I'm about to make soup for the rest of my lunches this week. North African Kale and Chickpea Soup. (http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2007/11/nort
h-african-chickp... Tue, 5 May 2009 11:42:08 EST How I've Been Doing http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1999387 I'm a Community Team member now, so I'll have to update this more often. It'll probably be good for me. So, here's the deal with me right now.....

Well, I'm 147 pounds at the moment. 115 pounds gone, and 27 left to go. I've gone from a XXXL to a medium. On one hand, that feels really good. On the other hand, I'm getting tired of needing new clothes all the time! I have a little loose skin, but nothing too bad. It's mostly on my inner thighs, stomach, and breasts... Thu, 23 Apr 2009 11:33:09 EST This still isn't easy. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1874539 I've been doing this 2 years and I've lost 108 pounds, and this is still really hard sometimes. I was gonna have one pretzel from my boyfriend's bag of pretzels. It wasn't in my nutrition tracker that I always fill out the night before, but it was only gonna be one. One! And it snowballed into many pretzels, a banana, a big slab of chocolate and a whole pizza. Shouldn't I have a handle on this by now? How am I gonna keep the weight off forever if I always have this hanging over my he... Thu, 12 Mar 2009 22:26:24 EST A little extra motivation... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1560333 I just went to the Sparkpeople store and ordered the new ladies fitted t-shirt in a medium. ( http://www.bullseyestores.com/sparkpeople/
product.php?product_id=2) This will be too small for me, especially since the description said that shirt runs a bit small. We'll see how long it'll take to make that shirt fit me. (Or, make me fit that shirt is probably a better way of saying it.) 9 Tue, 11 Nov 2008 11:21:28 EST I'm nervous for my doctor's appointment tomorrow. (Possibly TMI for any men who might be around.) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1006471 I've had a pain in my lower left side since August. From looking online, I saw that from my symptoms it was either a tubal pregnancy or an ovarian cyst. So, I went to Walgreens not too long after the pain started and picked up a pregnancy test to rule out the tubal pregnancy. It was negative. I figured a cyst would probably go away on it's own, so I left it alone until October when it REALLY started to bother me. I went to the gynecologist and got an ultrasound done. He said I do have a... Wed, 13 Feb 2008 09:33:46 EST It turns out, Chinese food doesn't have to be my enemy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=999227 I used to order Chinese food and get General Tso's chicken, crab rangoon, lo mein, those teriyaki beef stick thingys and an eggroll, and just stuff myself to the point of almost throwing up. Then I would be sad because I couldn't eat anymore. I avoided Chinese food for a long time since I started Sparkpeople, because I just couldn't handle it. Well, I think I can now. Last night I ordered shrimp and steamed mixed vegetables with garlic sauce on the side. I made half a cup of brown r... Sun, 10 Feb 2008 12:13:49 EST Finally getting around to this http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=510892 I'm just now getting around to making my sparkpage. I started my diet on March 1st. My goal is to weigh 160 on my 21st birthday, which will be 2-25-08. I've been trying to eat on the low end of my calorie range every day, and I was walking every day until I developed plantar fasciitis and hurt my knee. My feet feel fine now, but I don't know how long it will take my knee to heal. I'm also afraid that when it does heal, it will be easy to reinjure. Though, I'm sure losing weight will h...
