PHONGKONG's SparkPeople Blog PHONGKONG's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Day 6 of CLX (45/100) Looking forward to this mornings exercise. It also means one week done. Only 11 more to go :-)

Day 45 out of 100 and not lost any further weight so this second half need to focus and give it my all. Sun, 31 Mar 2013 18:46:46 EST Chalean Extreme On Day 5. Challenge is that I feel so hungry after the weight lifting. Will start to read through the meal suggestion on the holiday break so it will all come together. Need to make sure that I need to be in the routine before work starts as otherwise it will be tough to schedule the 5am workout. Earlier bedtimes will be the trick. Sun, 31 Mar 2013 09:37:57 EST Day 5/100: Strugling with flu Was so eager to go out for a run last night but ended up just walking to the shop to buy medicine and headed to bed early. Cannot wait until I feel fit again to go out for a proper run. I feel the need to pump up my metabolism. I keep to the spark menu well and have been able to pack my lunches in advance. That part is going tremendously well. But ... it is still early days, I know. Another veggie day and trying to keep my mind clear. Now focus on work and let this day go by. It's Wednesday ... Tue, 19 Feb 2013 21:07:56 EST Day 4/100: Lovely weather, great outdoors Had a day annual leave and joined my oldest on a school trip to an organic farm. Learnt a lot, bought fresh produce and we will be producing our own italian lettuce soon. Food wise I have been good. I felt the lack of protein today though and could not resist the boiled chicken ... Tomorrow back to a vegetarian menu. Tue, 19 Feb 2013 09:12:07 EST 100 Days and 10 kg to loose My next birthday is in 83 days and once more I have found myself back at 75kg. I managed to go back to 67kg and I did run a half marathon in October 2012 but then ... I stopped. I stopped exercising and I stopped watching my diet so now I am back at 75kg. Once again I need to get a grip before worse comes to worse.

I am giving myself 100 days to get fit again. New birthday present should be a new bikini .... Fri, 15 Feb 2013 20:10:56 EST Come on, you can do it (Master Cleanse day 8) For those that think the Master Cleanse is a diet or a fad. Start reading up about it. It is not. I am pretty clear about the fact that I am not loosing any fat during these 10 days. The trousers that used the be tight around the legs are still tight around the legs. It is also clear to me what the impact of food is on my body. Since day 5 no pimple on my face! Normally my face is populated with at least 3 or 4 places with outbreaks during this time of the month.

The other aspect ... Wed, 5 Sep 2012 20:39:32 EST Counting down (Master Cleanse day 7) I did not manage to go for a run last night so I ran/walked tonight 7km in 55 minutes. Happy I went out and did something to keep the metabolism going. This is still weird: no symptoms AT ALL of my period. I am really stunned. Normally I feel very bloated, am tearful, have a headache and cramps. Absolutely nothing.

The big challenge for me is still coming. On Friday I am going out with 25 (!) girls (well other mums). There is one other girl that is not detoxing but she will not joi... Wed, 5 Sep 2012 10:12:53 EST What a difference a day makes (Master Cleanse day 6 cont.) Feel so much better. Looking forward to my run tonight and am planning on doing a midweek Salt Water Flush on tomorrow morning after all. Tue, 4 Sep 2012 08:21:07 EST Back to square 1 (Master Cleanse day 6) I cheated. I cheated and cheated. So gutted and disappointed with myself and lack of willpower. With the Master Cleanse there is really no way of making it up. By definition you would have to start over. The combination of early onset of period which started yesterday, the awful muscle ache in my arms and a stressing day at work resulted in me caving in. Not a whole lot of food but rather than opting for a glass of orange juice which would have been acceptable I ate a piece of cooked chicken.... Mon, 3 Sep 2012 21:24:29 EST Au, ow, ouch (Master Cleanse day 5) What fun, a personal trainer! My triceps hurt, not just a little bit but excruciating pain. Now 48 hours after 'the event' my husband had to help me getting dressed. Although during the day when the muscles warm up it gets better, even now I cannot lift my cup without pain.

No pain, no gain. Well that one is true for me. A colleague who saw me struglling said that at least during the whole day I would remember I had such a postive and active weekend! That for sure is one way of loo... Sun, 2 Sep 2012 22:01:22 EST A healthy and sporty weekend (Master Cleanse day 4) Saturday first time personal trainer - he told me to eat more protein. Did not have the heart to mention the detox.

Sunday - my arms hurt at places I did not even know that I had working muscles. What a 'result' of that gymsession. At night went for a walk/run of 7km.

Was pretty close to wanting other food ... Sun, 2 Sep 2012 11:24:20 EST Tired but feel at peace (Master Cleanse day 3) A disrupted night. Husband decided after all not to be so healthy and went out drinking with colleagues. He was home at 4:30. Me not happy ...

I will try and get some extra sleep with an early night tonight.

Just took out the fresh bread from the breadmaker and unlike normally no urge to break of a piece and try it. Instead, as it is Saturday, I did my first Salt Water Flush. As the warning is that you will be up and down to the toilet for more than an hour during a wee... Fri, 31 Aug 2012 19:52:18 EST New to this - a detox (Master Cleanse day 2) After reading the e-book of JJ Smith on how the best weight loss is achieved by starting to detoxify your body I made a plan.

Back after the holidays I weighed a stunning 74.5kg. I quite eating sugar (bought Stevia instead), stopped drinking coffee, stopped with dairy (replaced with eg. soy milk) and stopped with processed food. JJ actually recommends a full vegan diet for 3 weeks but I did not pull that off. I booked 6 colonics sessions to get rid of some deeper buried toxins and... Thu, 30 Aug 2012 20:40:26 EST Only day 4 My fourth day and already on today had a work lunch at a restaurant (ordered salad with tuna) and again tonight and tomorrow night a dinner. Not sure how to manage the calorie intake. Thu, 8 Mar 2012 03:08:06 EST It worked. It worked. It worked. It worked. It worked. It worked. So happy, we all sat down at the table and for actually 20 minutes we enjoyed sitting together rather than me urging all to hurry up and myself stressing and fuzzing.

And best of all: I actually got up 5:45 and ran for half an hour. Felt great.

Tonight will go through the routine again. Wed, 7 Mar 2012 05:53:13 EST Morning Routine Changes Inspired by the following Spark Blog from Stepfanie Romine I am now about to become a different person in the morning. From the nagging stressful, shouting mum I believe I will be able to turn into a person that feels self fulfilled, happy, in control and patient in the morning.

I am ready to try it out.

The blog I read is:
come_a_morning_person_8_tips_from_a_fo
rmer_night_owl

I just loved the points that were m... Mon, 5 Mar 2012 22:39:19 EST Another Friday Have been doing the hypnosis. It does not really have seemed to affect my eating, but I did feel a strong urge to exercise. Let's see if tonight it can deal with my current anxiety attack. Fri, 23 Dec 2011 08:29:07 EST Hypnosis and weight loss It has been a good year. I did my 5K run. I did my 10K run and I learned how to sail. There are still many more dreams on my list. One is still to shift some of the weight. Currently at 69kg I feel healthy but not completely comfortable in my body. Being an example to my girls is still a main goal and of course being happy with myself.

It has been a hefty year emotionally from a completely different point and at the end of the year I want to start fresh. Why wait till the new year... Wed, 21 Dec 2011 01:54:17 EST Challenge to smile There is so much to smile or laugh about so why is it that on Monday morning people are all looking gloom and unhappy. I set myself the challenge to just smile and say hello to at least 1 person a day and am curious if people will smile back and say hello in return. There is something very empowering about Spark although I have not opened up about it as of yet. I am proud to be here and I am doing well when it comes to exercise but I have been here so often and after week 6 I generally give u... Sun, 22 May 2011 22:32:29 EST
