I have been so busy with the kids, and now my son has moved in too, and just no time at all for getting on or even keeping track of my food. I am leaving for a week vacation at the beach in the morning with the kids in tow. My daughter Leslie is coming into town from Saudi Arabia with her friend and then we are heading down to Panama City Beach. Oh, and if you recall I was concerned I might have been scammed by someone... and come to find out, yes... Fri, 11 Jul 2014 14:03:22 EST DAY 185 of 2014: Half way through the year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5732046 I just realized that half way through the year is 183 days, and I missed that fact. But I have not missed the fact that I have not accomplished one single step towards my weight loss or exercise goal this year. You cannot imagine how depressed that has made me. I lost half of the weight I wanted to, and then the holidays came and the winter and I have become a failure to the rest of my weight loss. Not giving up though. Even though I have gained 5 pounds since the kids have been here, I ... Fri, 4 Jul 2014 16:33:00 EST DAY 184 of 2014: More blessings in sight? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5731237 So happy that my son came yesterday to live here. Having not raised him, and never having children himself, he is eerily similar to me in his ideas of discipline and what is wrong and right, which makes things go much smoother than I anticipated. Having raised four daughters, I became a loving 'taskmaster', something necessary since my husband traveled a lot and it has trickled down to my grandchildren, now that I have them to raise. I have noticed a trend toward a no discipline generation... Thu, 3 Jul 2014 10:49:09 EST DAY 183 of 2014: Need to get REAL exercise...somehow http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5730387 Since I've had the kids, I haven't been able to go out and walk, plus no time to exercise. Living in such a small place, there is no room inside to exercise and since I live 20 miles to any exercise facility, it is not financially effective to go to a gym (gas prices are killing me!). My son is coming to live with us beginning this afternoon, so once I get the little one down for her nap, if Adam has arrived by then, which I don't think he will have (he said late afternoon), I will start wa... Wed, 2 Jul 2014 08:57:32 EST DAY 182 of 2014: Oh that darn Spark Tracker!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5730053 My Spark tracker has a mind of its own, it grows legs and walks away. However, the one time it needs to think for itself, it decides to act like an inanimate object and jump in the washing machine along with my shorts. Good thing is, it survived a dip in the washing machine! So happy that it did! So just letting you know, in case you have one, it must have some type of waterproofing! YAY!!!!

It will get more interesting beginning tomorrow when my son moves up here with us. Th... Tue, 1 Jul 2014 19:22:12 EST DAY 181 of 2014: Marathon runners and commitment http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5729123 I am connected, through Facebook, with several people from my high school graduating class (plus a few from a year ahead of me and a year below me). One of the guys that I am friends with is an Ironman competitor. He does extremely well at it for being 61 years old. I imagine he has been running for years and years. He finishes one Ironman competition and enters another similar competition or marathon. I don't know how he does it. He makes me tired just seeing the photos from his compe... Mon, 30 Jun 2014 14:04:58 EST DAY 180: My blessing of Spark Friends http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5728406 My heart is overflowing today for my Spark Friends that continually visit my blog, remark on my posts, and support me on a consistent basis. I love you guys. Thank you so much for being here for me.

Sun, 29 Jun 2014 14:53:51 EST DAY 179 of 2014: Thanking God for all of my blessings http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5727753 I may whine and stress about things in my life, but sometimes I have to stop and remember that many times things that stress me out are blessings from God that I need be more thankful for. The situation surrounding the blessings may not be what I planned and/or are far from ideal, but are blessings nonetheless. I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life. It is not all about me. So hard to remember to keep things in perspective. Love my babies and thankful God has given me this ... Sat, 28 Jun 2014 13:04:32 EST DAY 178 of 2014: Can't do one thing! Stress is HIGH! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5727028 I have a problem, and I have always been this way. The only way I can do anything is to do several things at one time, five or ten minutes at a time. For example, yesterday, I emptied my closet, then played 5 minutes of scrabble to relax. Then I started sorting clothes. Then went back to Scrabble. In all of this, I have to stop and take the 2 year old potty, or get someone a drink, or get snacks or lunch, or something. I think I will always be like this. It does seem to take longer to ... Fri, 27 Jun 2014 10:20:48 EST DAY 177 of 2014: Cleaning out the closet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5726494 Cleaning out my bedroom closet today. With the change of having the boys in the house, and the closets being only the size of the door that opens it, I need to clean out all the clothes that are too big and rearrange everything. I did rent a storage unit (another one, lol) to put my photography stuff in since it is filling up the second bedroom closet. I'm hoping by next year everything will be in place for me to turn ownership of the cabin over to my son and then buying a slightly bigger ... Thu, 26 Jun 2014 15:53:34 EST DAY 176 of 2014: Six months until Christmas http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5725946 Unbelievable that it is only six months until Christmas. This year has already been one unusual and complicated year. Because of that, I am encouraged. I read something the other day (gosh I hope I didn't post this already) that said that if your life is easy, then Satan has you right where he wants you. It only gets difficult when you are trying to live according to God's plan and wishes, then Satan puts obstacles in your way, which can come in many various forms and may or may not be a c... Wed, 25 Jun 2014 22:08:02 EST DAY 175 of 2014: Innocence of Youth http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5724817 I have fond memories, as a child, of playing in the rain. So when it started pouring today without lightning or thunder, I let the kids go out in just their underwear to play in the rain. They had so much fun. They had never done it before. Love that innocence of playing in the rain without a care! They were playing on the porch earlier (before the rain) and all of them were freaking over the bugs. I PLAYED with bugs when I was a kid, even had an earth worm farm. I'm hoping to get the ... Tue, 24 Jun 2014 11:24:18 EST DAY 174 of 2014: Be happy with what you have http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5723946 When I moved into my cabin, I thought it would be nice to subscribe to a few magazines through a great deal I found (5 subscriptions were $10 total for a year). I used to love looking through magazines for decorating ideas and recipes. But lately, I have come to realize that all the magazines do is make me want what I don't have and can't afford. They are so visually appealing, and created for that purpose. Such beautiful decorating and cool new items. If I never saw them, I would be hap... Mon, 23 Jun 2014 09:06:22 EST DAY 173 of 2014: Stress and eating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5723535 I am paying a toll for these major changes in my life. Happy to have the kids, but I have gained 5 pounds since they have been here. Going to be stricter about eating more fruits and vegies starting tomorrow. It is so easy to fall back into my old ways and habits. Not able to walk with the 2 year old here too, so have not been doing any exercises. Must not make excuses for being lazy and eating!
Sun, 22 Jun 2014 17:49:52 EST DAY 171 of 2014: A newly found benefit of Coconut Oil? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5722270 Interesting short article I was reading in the July "Prevention" magazine about "Oil Pulling". I had never heard of this before, but Prevention describes it as the new "Scope" (mouthwash that is). The practice of "pulling" consists of swishing oil around in your mouth for 10 minutes or so. They say "A couple of studies indicate that pulling can curb cavities, gingivitis, and bad breath and is a legitimate substitute for Listerine or Scope, which are harsh alcohol mouthwashes and can dry yo... Fri, 20 Jun 2014 16:47:05 EST DAY 170 of 2014: Achy Breaky Heart http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5721725 My heart just aches for my little grandchildren. I don't think they realize that their mommy and daddy aren't going to come back and get them and take them home. They will definitely be way better off away from the situation they were living in, but I still know they will miss their mom. And Verity will miss her dad. I was trying to explain to the oldest, who is almost 8, that they won't be going back home, that now they will be living with me, and I don't think he grasps the concept. I... Thu, 19 Jun 2014 23:10:43 EST DAY 169 of 2014: BIG changes ahead http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5720709 Just heard from my daughter that her husband is reconsidering keeping their 2 year old. So I may be taking her too, along with the two boys. If that happens, I will probably move back down to the Dallas area so that I can have my other daughters close by to help with their care. If I get a stomach virus or the flu, there is no one around to help me with the kids at all. The oldest is almost 8 and would be capable of making a sandwich if needed, but I cannot hold him responsible for watchi... Wed, 18 Jun 2014 13:48:46 EST DAY 168 of 2014: Hot outside, but that's all relative http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5720105 It is hot out today, right now my WeatherBug icon says it is 87 degrees out. And very humid out too. I am having to empty my dehumidifiers every two-three days. My cabin is about 650 square feet and I have 3 two-cup dehumidifiers in the house. That is a lot of water! But that temp is nothing compared to what we used to deal with when I lived in Texas. Every summer we would have at LEAST 60 days over 100 degrees with rarely any rain. And when we did have rain it was severe, with high w... Tue, 17 Jun 2014 19:02:46 EST DAY 166 of 2014: A Father or a Daddy? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5718324 As the old saying goes "Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a daddy". Yep, true, true. I gave birth to a child that I didn't get to keep or raise because I was coerced into something I really didn't want to do, and I became a mother...and the young man became a "father". But he never became a "daddy".

Unlike my mother, my dad was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, humblest man ever. After he left the army, he went to work welding airplane parts in the eveni... Sun, 15 Jun 2014 09:10:36 EST DAY 165 of 2014: Food Obsessions/Compulsive Overeating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5717673 I admitted years ago that I am obsessed with food. It was difficult for me to hear my doctor say I was "morbidly obese". First of all, I didn't feel heavy, even though I was wearing size 18. It was/is easy for me to put blinders on and not admit or even realize how heavy I was and still am. Secondly, that "morbidly" word scared me. My overeating could kill me now. That being said, I admit that I am also a compulsive overeater. I used to go to Overeaters Anonymous (O.A.), and that help... Sat, 14 Jun 2014 07:51:31 EST DAY 164 of 2014: Gremlins in the house http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5717272 I have been looking for my Spark Tracker for a week since I lost it. I went to every store I visited to no avail. I was so bummed, and almost ordered another yesterday. Then all of a sudden, it showed up yesterday in the middle of the kitchen floor. I have swept the floor numerous times. It wasn't there previously. No teeth marks on it for me to think the pups had gotten a hold of it. I can't figure it out unless I have gremlins in my house. Whatever the reason, just glad to get it ba... I hope today is starting out great for you! No matter what your weather or circumstances, your day will go according to your attitude. So be positive, uplifting to others, and smile! Your day will be awesome!

I know because we are all on Spark people, we are all thin, fit, and look exactly how we want to look, right?! Wrong! We all desire to be fit, thinner, and look whatever awesome is in our own mind, but most of us are n... Reading your comments, thank you for your support, which is greatly appreciated. Things will get back to semi normal once Verity goes back to her house with her dad. I have decided to quit potty training. She has no clue nor any desire to potty train and it is becoming too stressful for both of us. So I will send the training pants home with her and that is that.

<img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeople.com/nw/6/0/l607921479... Wed, 11 Jun 2014 20:54:20 EST DAY 161 of 2014: Another busy day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5715164 Took the kids to my church friend's house for a couple of hours today. She volunteered to watch the kids while I did a newborn photo shoot. I think I got some good shots. I was happy to use some of my new props. The kids seemed to have fun over there. She has 3 dogs, a cat, a bird, and 6 chickens. And she let them help her plant some plants. My daughter called me last night and said that she is going to let me take the boys for the next school year, so I will have a busy year coming up... Tue, 10 Jun 2014 18:10:38 EST DAY 160 of 2014: New best friends http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5714382 Just wanted to share quickly today this cute little photo of my granddaughter and my dog, Tessa. The dogs absolutely LOVE the kids. I was so worried about Tessa, here with 2 year old Verity, and how she would be with them. But she has been great. Tessa and Verity have become good friends. Toby has decided that he is not sleeping with me any more, he is sleeping with the boys. While Verity is here, and sleeping with me, that is fine, but I miss my Toby in bed after having him 4 years. ... Mon, 9 Jun 2014 17:23:26 EST DAY 158 of 2014: Busy Day today! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5713022 Whew! Forgot how time consuming and exhausting taking care of little kids full time is. The 6 and 7 yr olds are a piece of cake, but the 2 year old... wow. I am ready for her to go to bed, yet we have another half hour. However, we were busy today and she didn't take a nap, so maybe I'll put her to bed in about 15 minutes. The boys go to bed at 8:30, and I may be going soon after. We have church in the morning, it will be the first time for the boys since they were babies, and the firs... I will have the boys (6 and 7) for the summer and the girl (2) for a week. Will be busy and exciting for them and me! Hopefully, we won't trip over each other in my 640 square foot cabin, lol.
Have a great day! Fri, 6 Jun 2014 07:23:59 EST DAY 156 of 2014: My Umbilical has been cut!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5711069 FINALLY!! Found an electrician that discovered the problem with my power issues! Now I have power to the other half of the house and I was unable to unplug everything from the extension cord and replug into the wall. Someone, at one time, had hard wired an extension cord in the ceiling to install a ceiling fan on the porch (which is not there any more). When they took it down, they cut the extension cord and left it hard wired. My electrician told me he was surprised the house didn't cat... At 61 degrees, that is a little chilly for me, so I'll bring a throw or light jacket out with me. I lived in Texas for 21 years, and my body got used to higher temps and my "blood got thinner" lol.
I ran across this beautiful li... Wed, 4 Jun 2014 06:35:44 EST DAY 154 of 2014: I need to learn how to be an Electrician http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5710061 Dang, I had to call out an electrician to fix an issue with a breaker I continually seem to be having. He decided that it isn't the breaker, but the wiring somewhere inside the wall. I live in a log cabin. Not as easy to fix electrical in a log cabin as a regular house. He was here a few hours today, but will have to come back tomorrow and see if he can fix it. He couldn't find out what the problem was. Sigh. Every hour that he is here costs me more and more. Oh, well, it's only money... Tue, 3 Jun 2014 21:59:08 EST Day 153 of 2014: No more Glow Getter awards for a while http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5709069 Guess I have totally lost my Spark tracker. I have moved cushions and magazines, books, canisters, you name it. I can't find it. I called the 4 stores I went to on Saturday, none of them found it. Most people wouldn't know what it is and really isn't any good unless you have a little port for your computer. I am bummed. I guess it fell off my shoe. I wasn't wearing tennis shoes, and had it inside and clipped to the little pocket my pants pocket, but still it shouldn't have fallen off s... Mon, 2 Jun 2014 16:03:16 EST DAY 152 of 2014: Sunday Blues http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5709066 Missed posting on Sunday guys. Too busy looking for my Spark tracker. Not happy. Mon, 2 Jun 2014 15:56:45 EST DAY 151 of 2014: Tybee Island recommendations?/Farmers Market today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5707573 Didn't make it down to Target yesterday. I stopped by the Bealls Outlet (only shopping besides Walmart) and found several shirts I wanted (and needed, I'm still wearing my extra large shirts and needed some mediums!), plus two bathing suits (all I had were 18's, now a 12) and a cover up. Then ran next door and bought all the lotions and burn lotions and bug spray for the beach, plus a beach bag. Need to buy a couple of chairs and an umbrella before we hit the beach in July (worst time to g... Sat, 31 May 2014 16:32:40 EST DAY 150 of 2014: Ups and Down in a Small Town http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5706647 I love living in a small town. The people are always friendly. All of the people. It makes me remember to be friendly too. I used to struggle with it, having lived in the Dallas area for so many years, I forgot to take time to be nice to others all of the time. Now, I make sure that I say hello or hi to everyone I pass when I go to the store. The Gilmer county Sheriff's Dept posts accidents on their Facebook page (which rarely happens). We have festivals and winery tastings and brewery... Fri, 30 May 2014 09:11:13 EST DAY 149 of 2014: California Redwoods http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5705941 One day, I will travel out to the west coast to see Yosemite National Park and the geysers. I have been to the Grand Canyon (would love to go again), but on our trip that summer with my girls, we didn't quite make it further than that due to time constraints. But I mostly yearn to see the California redwoods...before it is too late. I was appalled to hear that someone has been cutting into the redwoods, taking the wood for who knows what. Just because they want it, to make furniture, to m... Thu, 29 May 2014 10:31:44 EST DAY 148 of 2014: How I became a personal Valet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5705019 I woke up this morning with the realization that I am a personal valet, a servant if you will. I bought into the ruse that this would be a good thing (and it is actually). I even PAID to be a servant, and I continue to put out money monthly for this privilege in one way or another. How did this happen? Why do I continue to serve without getting paid for it? I will tell you why. I have dogs. Yes, they are so great for companionship. But are they our companion, or are we their companion?... Wed, 28 May 2014 08:56:27 EST DAY 147 of 2014: Teens and Adulthood http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5704304 I heard of two separate events from this past weekend where within hours of graduations, two different teens were killed because they did something stupid. There are probably more that I just haven't heard about. We encourage our teens to sprout their wings and move forward in life. And we need to. Heck, back years ago, 16 was middle age since many people did not live to be past their 30's due to illnesses, war, accidents, etc. They were married at 14, 15, 16 and began their families imme... Tue, 27 May 2014 11:12:20 EST DAY 146 of 2014: Mind Games - Bingeing http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5703507 My mind has been in full gear the past week. It keeps wanting me to binge. I don't know if this is medically induced (my body addicted to sugar and/or carbs) or if this is all in my mind and it is playing a little game with me by seducing me with visions of potato chips and cookies. It seems like every pop up ad lately on Spark is chips, cookies, candy, or ice cream. I was seriously considering going into town Friday and buying a bunch of junk food and eating it all in one sitting. (But I ... Mon, 26 May 2014 12:14:13 EST DAY 145 of 2014: Remembering Our Fallen Heroes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5702609 This Memorial Day weekend is the time we celebrate the bravery of our soldiers who have fought proudly serving our countries and gave their lives for us so that we can continue to live in freedom. I thank God that I did not lose anyone close to me during any of their time in service. But many have lost loved ones and I want to say to anyone today that has that I appreciate the sacrifice your loved one made for me. I used to live in Plano, Texas for a little over 21 years. They have erect... Sun, 25 May 2014 07:55:01 EST DAY 144 of 2014: Belly Fat is Bad for your Memory http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5702202 I'm just getting around to perusing my April issue of "Reader's Digest", and came across an interesting article about a possible link between belly fat and dementia. It said "People with excess fat around the middle are more likely to develop dementia later in life". It goes on to say that researchers at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago have determined that your "hippocampus", the brain's memory center, and your liver use the same "food" (a protein). The liver uses it to burn be... Sat, 24 May 2014 14:13:48 EST DAY 143 of 2014: Crockpot Weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5701427 Well, my freezer is starting to look better, but my frozen soups/stews are rapidly being depleted, so beginning yesterday, I am having a crockpot marathon to fill it back up. Yesterday, I made garbanzo bean soup, but untraditionally, I added kale to it to make it healthier. I also did not use pigs feet (as traditionally used), but used lean ham, and still added chorizo. It still tastes like Cuban garbanzo bean soup. Yummy! Today, I am going to do something with the cabbage in my refriger... Fri, 23 May 2014 11:21:59 EST DAY 142 of 2014: The true indicator of summer in the mountains http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5700752 Accomplished a two and a half mile walk with the dogs yesterday. Did it the opposite way from usual, which I probably won't do often because it means I have to do the hardest part first and the all downhill from there. The way I usually go has a steep downhill, a gradual climb up, a level spot, a gradual uphill again, then a steep downhill again. I think I get a more rounded workout the usual way. However, my buttocks are sore this morning, so maybe I need to do that steep uphill part mor... Thu, 22 May 2014 12:06:20 EST DAY 141 of 2014: Weeding the Garden http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5699804 Today I am forcing myself outside to weed, well, what is it. Not a garden, not a yard. I guess I'll call it my "lot". Because I live in the mountains, in a heavily wooded area, I don't have any grass to have to cut. But there are areas that were at one time cultivated into small patches of gardens. When I first moved here, it was all so overgrown and I just had some guys come and whack it all back, and in some cases, down. I have now been in my cabin for a year. (Hard to believe...I ho... My dad got sick when I was young, passed away when I was 15 (he was 49). I began working to help pay the bills at 15. I got pregnant at 18 and gave my son up for adoption when he was born a couple of weeks after my 19th birthday. My mom was always abusive, physically and mentally. My ex-husband of 33 years did not allow me to have friends; he was controlling and also verbally and mentally abusive. I raised 4 daughters (teenage years with girls can... Right now, I think I am staying with VSR as I think that they have basically done pretty good for me, always staying on the plus side even if some of the investments (mostly the real estate ones) go bankrupt or whatever. Anyway, that is my big thing today. I hope it goes well. Hopefully, I will like this representative and feel comfortable with this choice. I made the meetin... Mon, 19 May 2014 08:04:57 EST DAY 138 of 2014: Movies weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5697817 Lazy Sunday, watching movies. The rain is still intermittent. It poured for several days, but it only sprinkled off and on today. Thought it would be a good idea to stop by IHOP for lunch today, and my friend and I got their chicken Florentine crepes to split. It was only after I got home and checked the calorie count that I was shocked that they had 500 calories each. So glad I didn't eat both of them! Hope you are having a good Sunday!

<img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeopl... Sun, 18 May 2014 17:57:08 EST DAY 137 of 2014: What would you do if you won the LOTTERY? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5696897 I read an interesting fact that so many people who win the big lottery jackpots spend all of it within a few years. Of course, unless you live in Canada, Uncle Sam gets about half of that right off the top (plus a percentage of any interest you might earn). So when you win the lottery, so does the government! And that got me thinking, would I spend it wisely, or foolishly? And the answer is: BOTH!
I'm curious to know: what would you do with the money if you won the lottery (and I m... Sat, 17 May 2014 09:21:01 EST DAY 136 of 2014: Stomach Pains, Food Allergy? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5696633 I think I figured out what caused those severe stomach pains on Sunday night and all day Monday. The same thing happened the week before. And both times after I had eaten salad at the Mexican restaurant I go to on Sunday after church. It's just lettuce, onion, bell pepper and chicken, then instead of using salad dressing, I use salsa. and I love salsa, so I use lots of it. But I also ate tortilla chips. So I'm thinking it's either the corn in the tortilla chips or the tomatoes in the sal... Fri, 16 May 2014 20:45:32 EST DAY 135 of 2014: Walking with Jesus Daily http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5695719 I am sad today to hear of another Spark friend's loss of their loved one. In the past two months alone I have had 3 adults and 2 young children I have been praying for pass away. Seems like my prayer list is constantly getting changed from praying for one person's illness to praying for their family's strength. I can't imagine not having a faith system to uphold you and not believing in God nor the saving power of Jesus. But many people do not, and they are on my list too. Wonderful, marv... Thu, 15 May 2014 13:06:58 EST DAY 134 of 2014: Good Walk yesterday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5694706 I was so psyched about my 2 mile walk and renewed resolve that I posted a second blog yesterday, lol. At any rate, I found a couple of mushrooms, so I am excited they are starting to pop up again. Can't wait for the chanterelles to start coming up!!! Sharing a photo of this guy, about the size of a salad plate, who was smack dab in the middle of the road, so I moved him off the road in the direction he was going. (Sorry for the quality, taken with my cell phone.) Good thing there isn't mu... Wed, 14 May 2014 08:32:07 EST
