This morning God made me realize that (and these are the exact words that popped into my head), "Satan is the craftsman of counterfeit". Think of all the things we desire, that we crave, and how we fulfill those cravings. Mind boggling!

I'm sure I could list a dozen different foods right now that I haven't eaten in awhile that I think I just have to have. (Everyone has a list of something, not necessarily foods, it might be shoes... Fri, 18 May 2012 10:37:15 EST Dear Hubby is catching on! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4739111 Dear Hubby is finally catching on. I'm NOT giving up on healthy eating, for both of us. He fixes his own breakfast, usually 2 fried eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 2 slices of toast with margarine and a tall glass of orange juice. He fixes his own lunch, usually an apple and some fresh veggies. But for supper, we eat what I fix! Last night it was tilapia, white and wild rice, and acorn squash. I have a variety of meals in my head, so I can make sure we are getting a good balance. I printed off a bl... Tue, 14 Feb 2012 20:44:51 EST Procrastinating? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3870572 This time of year we all think about what our "New Year's Resolutions" will be. Often they are to make healthier lifestyle choices. But WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR? January 1st is a few days away, yet. Today is the day to ditch all those leftover holiday treats, clean out the fridge, and restock our pantries. Today is the day to dust off that treadmill, find those walking shoes and perhaps, buy that pilates dvd. Today is the day to log every morsel (including that single ripe olive and teaspoon o... Wed, 29 Dec 2010 22:52:46 EST Christmas is..... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3831161 I hear people talk about Christmas as though it were an object. For instance, you have probably heard something like, "We have our Christmas on the Sunday before Christmas Day." Or it may be referred to as an activity, such as "Where does your family get together to do Christmas?" But I believe Christmas is so much more than that. I believe it is "who we are", not what we have or do. Yes, my family gets together to eat dinner, exchange gifts and enjoy each other's company on Christmas Day. A... Tue, 7 Dec 2010 23:59:30 EST I don't clean my house......... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3758352 ...... I bless my home! When I discovered Flylady.com years ago, I discovered a whole new way to bless my family. I struggled with keeping an orderly, uncluttered house because of .... well, numerous reasons. The main reason was I just didn't have the tools I needed. Now my twin sister always had a neat home. Why was it so "easy" for her and so hard for me? Flylady taught me how to think differently about my home and how it affects every aspect of my personal life. I learned how to take baby... Tue, 2 Nov 2010 23:58:15 EST Pink Glove Dance - What a party!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3739146 This YouTube video is awesome! I've watched it several times and downloaded it to my computer. I just couldn't sit still in my seat and when all the caregivers and survivors come out in the last scene, I had tears! (I never cry!) Maybe only breast cancer survivors or their loved ones will truly receive the effect. Enjoy!

Pink Glove Dance Home Page | Pink Glove Dance
www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%
2Fpinkglovedance.com%2F&h=1b948

220 Mon, 25 Oct 2010 13:24:18 EST Back To Reality http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3723082 Ah, the weekend is over and reality sets in. It's Monday: a new day, a new week, a new me!
100
The kids are coming for supper so I already have my SparkPeople Recipe for Unique Healthy Chili and all the ingredients assembled. Ate my healthy breakfast of 219 calories and had 4 of my cups of water for the day. Now it's time to get off the computer and get my floors cleaned! SP can be as addicting as eating! LOL!
252 Mon, 18 Oct 2010 11:34:16 EST Wonderful day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3722055 Wonderful day with family and friends at a potluck picnic and baby shower. I joked that "celebration calories don't count", but of course, my scale will tell tomorrow. Still, wouldn't have changed today for anything!
4 Sun, 17 Oct 2010 23:09:07 EST What's for breakfast? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3700622 What is everyone eating? This is one of my favorites: 1 slice Village Hearth 12 Grain Bread with 1 tablespoon Smucker's Natural Chunky Peanut Butter, 1/4 cup Land O Lakes Fat-Free Cottage Cheese, and a single serve can of V8. Total 219 calories, only 9 grams of fat, 21 grams of carbs, 15 grams protein, 621 mg potassium, 13 grams calcium, 446 mg sodium, and 5 mg cholesterol. Delicious! Thu, 7 Oct 2010 23:48:59 EST Blood Pressure Monitor http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3696615 Yesterday I bought a blood pressure monitor and learned how to use it. At first I was using it wrong and got about 6 wildly different readings, so of course, I thought there was something wrong with it. HA! Then I read the instructions. The healthy eating since August 1st and retiring from my job have made a big difference in my blood pressure! I can't wait to show it off to my doctor during my physical in a couple of weeks! 334 Wed, 6 Oct 2010 12:10:18 EST First Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3685714 This is my first day here and I am really impressed with everyone and everything. I learned about SparkPeople.com in a magazine and have toyed with visiting several times, but today is my first serious attempt to join. Life isn't about chance so don't wish me luck. It's about choices, so wish me courage. (And, no, I didn't copy that from someone, it is my own quote.) Fri, 1 Oct 2010 20:46:43 EST
