Wed, 2 Apr 2014 23:12:35 EST Light Today Fr Vinny talked about Light.
The only time Jesus used the words 'you must' was when He said 'You must be the light of the world.
When we lessen another's light, we 'snuff' it out. Another way of looking at this is to think of blowing out birthday candles. We are 'snuffing' out the candles and polluting the environment by spreading germs in the process. Tue, 1 Apr 2014 22:47:24 EST Mission Today was the second day of the 3 day mission. One of the take home points was we are to spread the Good NEWS to the N(orth), E(ast), W(est) and S(outh).
Another was when we forgive someone we are freeing ourselves from the burden of carrying the hurt. One more point with forgiveness, Jesus, on the cross, did not forgive those who persecuted Him but instead asked His Father to forgive them and that may be where we can begin when we are having difficulty forgiving. Thu, 27 Mar 2014 22:07:17 EST Owie My 'new knee' was unusually painful today.
I'm blaming it on the weather.
Doing steps took at least 3 times as long as usual.
As I needed to drive to see patients, I wasn't able to take anything for the pain until I was done with work. Tue, 25 Mar 2014 20:13:02 EST Mom I was talking to Dad yesterday as Mom was sleeping.
He said she sleeps most of the time.
The 'good' news is that she did feel up to going to Church with him yesterday. This is the first time since the middle of Feb - so there is a small improvement in the way she is feeling. Mon, 24 Mar 2014 18:25:11 EST Snow Again Yes, old man winter is tenaciously holding on.
We had more snow today!
I am ready for spring. Where are the crocuses, tulips and daffodils? Sun, 23 Mar 2014 18:26:27 EST Taxes After the numbers are 'crunched', I'll be getting a refund from 'Uncle Sam'.
That relieves the pressure of 'robbing Peter to pay Paul'.
