Sat, 18 Apr 2015 04:19:30 EST I've got a secret about 7 or 8 years ago the company that I work for was working on a renovation of the training center at our main campus in St. Louis. As part of this project, they wanted to use photos of employees in the training center. I'm not sure why, or how, or even WHO chose the people, but for some reason I was one of the folks they picked.

so they sent a professional photographer around to the various offices (I'm in GA). Sat, 28 Mar 2015 21:38:49 EST weekly exercise recap it's been an EXCELLENT week.

Sunday morning I usually do a 5 mile run/walk (weather permitting), but I had done more running than usual the week before, so I opted for Pilates (see my March 18th blog for recommendations on Pilates DVDs). After church, I went to the office and got my bike ready for the season (making sure the tires were inflated, chain in good condition, etc.) and went for a bike ride. Beautiful day!

Monday morning I took the 6AM Functional Fitness cla... Sat, 21 Mar 2015 23:11:14 EST recommended Pilates DVDs I started doing Pilates at the YMCA several years ago. If you've never done Pilates, it's a good idea (if possible) to take a few instructor lead classes to get the form and breathing techniques right.

over the years, I've found 3 Pilates DVDs that I absolutely LOVE. Yes, I've bought a few others, but they go in the 'donate' box...just not for me.

my first 'find' was Dina Matty's PILATES WITH WORKOUT CIRCLE.
<img src=" Wed, 18 Mar 2015 04:53:22 EST combining Spark recipes

l.asp?recipe=871817

plus

l.asp?recipe=2636765

equals
4 30 4 30 4 30
Sunday we had a crock pot lunch at church. Tue, 24 Feb 2015 15:27:57 EST but...I don't want to! one of the quotes from a Spark email that I read today: "Find a workout partner. Tue, 6 May 2014 06:07:56 EST being a Team Leader is a learning process! at the end of last year I became a team leader. Thu, 2 Jan 2014 03:39:06 EST hitting the bleachers today was the last day of my 4 day weekend. Tue, 10 Dec 2013 19:50:47 EST busy weekend, but I still have TWO MORE DAYS! due to several issues, I ended up with 5 vacation days left to take in December. Mon, 21 Oct 2013 02:54:35 EST that's what friends are for! I have been really struggling lately. I've gone from two-a-day workouts most days, to barely able to force myself to get in an hour a WEEK. My good friend Martha lost her DH to cancer in 2006. In 2007 she started a Girl's Week at the beach with friends and family from all over. She and her DH had always traveled together, and Martha needed her friends around her.

The first year we were at Tybee Island. I've tried to run most of my life. I'm really impatient though. You have to work up to running. When I couldn't go out and run a mile right away, I'd get frustrated. So my running never lasted very long.

At my prior job one of my co-workers (Marnie) was a runner. I'd always wanted to run The Peachtree (a 10k in Atlanta on July 4th). Fri, 10 May 2013 16:05:05 EST Omar is HOME! I finally got my boy back! He was so glad to see somebody he knew at the vet's office. But he's been his happy, silly self while he was with them. Mon, 22 Apr 2013 21:00:49 EST 5k / 10k - behind the scenes have you ever wondered what's involved in setting up that race you ran on Saturday morning? I've been a volunteer at the annual 5k / 10k that my YMCA sponsors for several years. Today as I was driving to the Y for this year's races I was thinking about how much earlier I have to get to a race when I'm NOT a runner! (And how much longer I'll need to stay.)
