January 1st: 322lbs January 17th: 311lbs Apparently this is a "holiday?" Official ditch your resolutions day is January 17th of each year. This is one holiday I will NOT be participating in. I've been doing really well with my healthy eating and working out except for one slip up I had last Friday. I'm down 11lbs in 17 days and I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. I don't know if I'll make my goal of 299lbs by February 1st... But I'm gonna try my hardest and see what happens if I stay 100% on... Tue, 17 Jan 2017 19:17:39 EST January 10th Update Jan 1st: 322lbs
Jan 10th: 314lbs

We're 10 days into 2017 and I'm going strong. I've been making fitness a priority and eliminating chances to make excuses. On days I work 12 hour shifts, I know I'll be too tired after work to go exercise, so I get up at 4am and do my workout before. This past weekend was crazy busy, Saturday I spent the day in Cleveland with my son and my nephews at this dinosaur exhibit, and Sunday I had church, followed by a vet appointment for my dog, follo... Tue, 10 Jan 2017 11:37:47 EST Resolutions! I'm ready for a year full of positivity! Last 2 years were rough for me, and I'm looking forward to this fresh start. My priorities this year.. Recommit my life to God and let Him truly take the reigns, be the best mommy I can be for my little boy, and regain control of my health. Those 3 things = a happy me! I have lots of small changes to make, but I'm ready to make them. As far as my fitness goals... -Lose 100lbs this year -Run 5k by the end of the year -Be able to do 10 man pushups I'll... Mon, 2 Jan 2017 18:49:48 EST I have a new fitness partner in training!
I got a new puppy! Someone planned to just dump him out on the side of the road, so I took him in. He's so smart and sweet and well behaved. I have no idea why anyone wouldn't want to keep him. The vet says he's about 9-12 weeks old, probably a some mix of boxer, beagle, pit bull, and lab. All I know is he's awesome. His name is Waylon. I'm so excited to take this little guy on long walks when he ... Tue, 20 Dec 2016 10:13:25 EST Tis the season to get skinny.. Fa la la la So today there's exactly 4 weeks left until the end of the year! I'm determined to head into 2017 in a healthy, happy state. 2015 and 2016 were both pretty crappy. Lot's of big, yucky things happened, and I'm so ready to move on. My life is finally getting back to normal and heading in a positive direction. My mom is completely healthy and well again, my relationship with my boyfriend is going great, and as always my son is just amazing! I'm hoping 2017 is going to be awesome. In these 4 we... Sun, 4 Dec 2016 17:15:06 EST Life Happened... So starting in July I made a serious decision to get it together. I was doing pretty well with weight loss and by September 1st I was down 21lbs. Then on September 6th, my life changed rapidly. My mom went from being a normal healthy 58year old, who worked a full time job and kept up with her grandkids, to not being able to get out of bed one morning. And it happened literally overnight. We were told in the emergency room that she had a lung mass that was definitely cancerous and pneumonia on... Wed, 2 Nov 2016 09:56:44 EST September Goals and Bouncing Back from August July 1st: 328lbs
August 1st:315lbs
September 1st: 309lbs

The beginning of August started out really strong. Then towards the end, I started really struggling. Mentally just feeling depressed, skipping workouts, and I've had several cheat meals in the last 2 weeks. So, I've literally just stayed steady with my weight for 2 weeks without losing anything. I'm disappointed because I know I could have crushed my goal. So frustrating!

I've been struggling with the ... Fri, 2 Sep 2016 16:52:41 EST August Week 2 Update
July 1st: 328lbs August 1st: 315lbs August 15th: 309lbs The past week I've been struggling. I was no where near reaching my exercise goals. I did get 2 really good workouts in but I wanted 6 good workouts. I've been sick most of the week, and I'm still feeling really yucky. I had a head cold and it's now made it's way into my chest. I feel like I can't recover, but I'm sure that's due to the fact... Mon, 15 Aug 2016 18:21:32 EST August Goals, and Week 1 Update July 1st: 328lbs
August 1st: 315lbs
Today: 312lbs

Ok so I really really really want to be below 300lbs again. My goal by the end of this month is to weigh 299lbs. It won't be easy at all since there are only 25 days left in August counting today, but I know it's doable if I'm consistent. I'm going to have to stay in my calorie range every single day and not miss a single workout. Since my blog a few days ago, I've lost another pound putting me at 312. I've stuck to my wor... Sun, 7 Aug 2016 09:02:19 EST No One is Holding Me Down! Tomorrow will be a year from the day my ex husband told me he wanted a divorce. The past year has been a struggle to find myself, to stay afloat financially, to be a great mommy, and to start the process of trusting someone again. I started dating a man in January, who I really thought could be the one for me. In the beginning he was sweet, charming, and amazing. As time went on, and I fell in love with him, he turned into not such a nice man. He started getting very controlling. Fighting wit... Tue, 2 Aug 2016 06:26:20 EST March 4th..this is what I'm working with.. WHY do nurses love junk food?? Bags of candy have become the norm on my floor. But NONE of that has made it in to my mouth. I've been doing amazing sticking to my diet. My boyfriend came over the other day and brought pizza and chicken and jojos. He ate that and I ate a salad and baked chicken. If I have a cr... Fri, 4 Mar 2016 03:16:35 EST February 29.. Tiny Victories Last night I worked a 12 hour night shift. Before work I did a 30 minute cardiovascular DVD. Then I walk into work and the breakroom is full of doughnuts, brownies, cheesecake, chips, taco dip, and a few other junky things. I put my healthy lunch in the fridge and walk out into the nurses station and there's more freaking snickers and m&ms which we had sitting out Saturday night too. And my coworkers ordered pizza and wings and told me to eat some about 387 times. BUT I stayed strong and I di... Mon, 29 Feb 2016 09:45:21 EST February 28th I feel like my I have my mojo back! I finally feel like I really want to lose this weight bad enough to make serious changes. Something snapped and I'm back in the right mindset to do this! For a long time I've been wanting to lose the weight but kinda coasting. I worked out when I wanted to and tried to eat right but fell for every temptation. A few days ago I just decided enough was enough. I'm DONE being fat and unhappy. So since then I've been working out every day, and eating really grea... Sun, 28 Feb 2016 17:15:17 EST February 25th So things may be getting a little easier for me when it comes to fitting in workouts. My soon to be ex husband and I had a long conversation today about several things but towards the end I asked him if he would be willing to watch our son for a little bit every day so I could make it to the gym and he agreed. We are working hard to get to a place where we are more friendly with each other. Some days we do good and some days we just don't. But him saying yes is a step in the right direction b... Thu, 25 Feb 2016 23:28:13 EST Small update... I'm terrible at keeping up with blogging. I'm trying to get better but my life is insanely busy. I'm juggling working 12 hour night shifts, being a single mom, dating, keeping my house clean, cooking, etc, and trying to find time to squeeze in workouts. To top that all off my son and I have been sick off and on the past few weeks. My workouts have been hit or miss. My eating is the same. I'm eating pretty healthy when I'm home, but when I'm with my boyfriend not so much. He's Italian and... Wed, 24 Feb 2016 13:20:05 EST February 13th Update Things are going really well for me! Since my past blog I've been keeping up with my workouts and eating really healthy. I'm looking to see some of this weight fall off! I'm not gonna weigh myself until Tuesday. That will be day 7 of this challenge I'm doing and I'm hoping to see a significant loss. Today I was supposed to work a 12 hour night shift, but they didn't need me the first 4 hours so I spent some extra time in the gym. Yay! I'm also working a 12 hour night shift tomorrow. On a pers... Sat, 13 Feb 2016 19:27:47 EST Update February 10th, 2016 So my life has been crazy busy the past few weeks and I haven't really had time to blog. I also haven't had a ton of time to workout but I've been doing what I can. Today I started a 5k challenge on spark people. In 10 weeks I should be able to run a 5k. I'm ready for that. I miss being a runner. I want to focus on losing as much weight as possible in those 10 weeks so it becomes easier for me to run. Then I can focus on getting faster. My plan for the first 5 weeks is to alternate days of r... Wed, 10 Feb 2016 22:12:22 EST How I'm Learning to Stop the Excuses! Since my husband left me back in August, making time for exercise became challenging for me. He used to be around to watch our son so I could go to the gym or go walking or whatever. When he left it became very hard for me to get to the gym most days because I have no one around to watch little man. My mom babysits for me when I work, but she lives 30 minutes away so it's not practical to drive 30 minutes drop my son off, drive 30 minutes back to the gym to work out, then 30 minutes back to p... Sat, 16 Jan 2016 07:57:42 EST Week 2 Update Well week 2 was kinda blah for me. It was a rough week emotionally and I didn't make the best food choices this week at all. I still lost a pound but that's not enough and I'm not happy about it. I've been dating a guy the past few months and on Monday I decided to break up with him. I care for him a lot but he has a lot of qualities that I don't see meshing with me long term. I feel bad because he's super nice and treats me very well, but I don't feel like he's my forever. It was hard seeing... Fri, 15 Jan 2016 17:30:08 EST Weekly Update Blog -Week 1 of 2016 Well I meant to write this blog yesterday but I was crazy busy so I'm writing it now. The first week of this year went great. I am down 7lbs since January 1st and my BMI dropped an entire point! I stayed within my calorie range all the days except one. We had a going away party for a coworker Thursday night and I had a small piece of ice cream cake which pushed me slightly over my calories for the day. My workouts are where I let myself down a little. My goal is to workout 5 days a week min... Sat, 9 Jan 2016 01:25:02 EST 2016 is here! My goals for the new year! 2015 was a rough year for me. I am so happy to see a new year roll in so I can start fresh and just focus on myself. I'm not making "resolutions." I have GOALS for 2016, and I WILL achieve them. Here they are: - Lose 100lbs by December 31st, 2015 - Run another 5k, running the entire time - Do 10 man pushup - Do a Warrior Dash I'm excited for a new year. I'm tired of feeling like my life is out of my control. It's time for me to regain control and take my life back! Fri, 1 Jan 2016 04:00:48 EST Going Well So Far So on Monday I decided to recommit to being healthy. Thursdays are my regular weigh in days, so I stuck with that. From Monday to Thursday I lost 1.5lbs! I'm good with that. I've been eating super healthy and working out every day. I finally feel like I'm back to my motivated self! I'm in a much better place mentally. Working out is so good for my mood.
I've been keeping super busy with my son, work, my friends, and getting my healthy on. Life is good! Sat, 29 Aug 2015 17:51:56 EST Picking up the Pieces 2015 has NOT been my year. The purpose of this blog isn't for sympathy, but to explain what's been going on in my life. At the end of May, my stepdad (who I consider to be my dad) passed away very suddenly, then the beginning of this month my husband decided to end our marriage and leave for someone he had known only a month. That was also very unexpected since we never fought, told each other we loved each other all the time, and were ridiculously affectionate all the time. I was completely ... Tue, 25 Aug 2015 18:08:18 EST Small Update The fast few days have been good. My husband and I have been eating super healthy and sticking to our workout plan. We went on a run/walk for 5 and a half miles today outside. I'm guessing we burned some extra calories just trying to trudge through the snow. It was freezing but it felt good to be out in nature.

The plan for tomorrow is to do 30 minutes strength training abs/back and 45 minutes of hard cardio. I'm gonna run a mile as fast as possible on the treadmill and then do s... Mon, 16 Dec 2013 01:15:58 EST 12/12/13 So I'm a little late posting my update for he 12th, but day 1 was a success. I did 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill at 15% incline and then 30 minutes of strength training on my legs and glutes. I followed my meal plan and stayed in my calorie range. I had tons of fruits and veggies along with some lean protein and good carbs and I feel better already. I already have my meal plan and workout plan made out for today too. I'm happy to be back on track. No more excuses. Fri, 13 Dec 2013 01:06:29 EST I Need to Get Back on Track So the past month has been rough on me. I have been going through a ton of personal stress, which I don't want to get into. I'm hoping it's all resolved now. I haven't been working out and eating the way that I want to and I haven't lost a single pound in the past 4 weeks. Ugh! At least I haven't gained but I was really hoping to be in Onederland by the end of this year. That isn't going to happen no matter how hard I try. 198

I'll get there, just not in the time line... Wed, 11 Dec 2013 22:12:04 EST Staying Strong So I've been super busy lately but I've been doing awesome with my workouts. Not so much with my eating. Too much candy and too much junk. I've maintained my weight loss and even dropped a pound in the past week but for the amount I'm working out, it's a shame I haven't lost more. I need to get back to my clean eating plan and stop with all the junk. I just have a terrible problem with stress eating. Ugh. I'm a work in progress.

I've planned out all of my workouts for the next 2 ... Sat, 2 Nov 2013 23:21:19 EST Loving Running! I've been focusing on getting my run on and I'm loving it! So accomplished. 2014 is gonna be an awesome year. I'm doing a 10k nonstop no matter what. Can't wait.

I've been doing really well all week eating healthy too. Lately So the past 2 weeks I've been gone from sparkpeople. 2 weeks ago we were camping. Super fun but a lot of unhealthy eating. Then last week we were so busy house hunting I haven't really had time to be online. But we finally found a house and put an offer in and it was accepted! So we close October 28th as long as the inspection is ok. This is our first house so I'm super stressed but excited. I've been eating a lot of sugar. Stress eating. No good. Feeling Kinda Bummed Well the past 3 days have been kind of crappy for me. I haven't been able to work out at all. Monday and Tuesday I was super sick.. fever, chills, and insane nausea that wouldn't go away. Then Tuesday I got an abscess on my inner thigh. I worked a 12 hour shift on Tuesday and it rubbed on my pants and got super huge and painful. So Wednesday I decided to go to the doctor. She put me on antibiotics and cut and drained it.
