Fri, 1 Jan 2016 21:51:13 EST Figuring Things Out I've been thinking about why I am doing better in this challenge than in past challenges. I was reading the Spark article “35 Bad Mood Busters” and it mentioned Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I wondered what it was and clicked on it. It said “The basic idea behind CBT is that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected together by two-way streets. Therefore, if you make a change in one area (how you think, for example), it will lead to changes in both of the others (how you feel an... Mon, 13 Oct 2014 15:23:11 EST Struggling I have been struggling with too much snacking (sweets) and getting my exercise in. If I eat something that I shouldn’t, I tell myself that I don’t care and end up going over my calorie limit by 200 to 400 calories. My gym got rid of the Expresso bikes, which I loved. On a TV screen I could pick different trails to ride and it had a ghost of my last ride. Didn’t like my ghost beating me so it was very motivational.

I’m 75 and had blood clots in my lungs last year and couldn’t ... DH checked the air in the tires before we took off this morning and one had only 20 lbs in it. Had to wait till someone opened at 8. They said it would take a half hour to fix. On 2/14, and 2/18 I went quite a bit over. So on Tues, the 18th, I decided to start staying within my calorie range. That evening I put into my tracker what I was going to eat on Wed. for breakfast and lunch. Went to Subway with a friend for lunch and had planned to eat a salad. I think I will try to break my exercise up into 2 sessions a day.

That is enough of that. This week on our Daisy challenge we are supposed to try to eat 5-9 servings of freggies.
