I still feel kinda crappy, but i will make it up tonight.
Tomorrow school starts, so new schedule and new routine for all of us. My kids spent most the summer at friends houses, so i was able to go walk/jog a few hours a few times a week. So I will need to come up with another plan.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Tue, 23 Aug 2016 10:07:01 EST Day 24 of my challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6220786 Well since I skipped a couple days, I made up the exercise yesterday, plus some. I like to walk around a park called Copper Creek. So last night I decided to get some better running shoes. When i first started my challenge, I walked around the lake twice within 1 1/2 hours. Yesterday I went around four times in 1 1/2 hours. It was between 84 and 88 degrees and very humid so I was pouring sweat like crazy. But it felt so good!!

Hope everyone has a great day!
Fri, 19 Aug 2016 08:42:39 EST Day 20 of my 30 day Challenge (can't blame the state fair) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6218248 I went to the Iowa State Fair on Friday. And yes I did snack on some fried foods, and I had a few drinks. However I couldn't believe how much walking i got in.

My fitbit Goals:
8,000 Steps 4 miles 30 active minutes

So the results on Friday:
22,963 steps 9.28 miles 115 active minutes
Total of 2,699 calories burned

But, my body was so sore that i slacked the next day. Then i had a very busy day yesterday. But today is a new day, i will make up m... Mon, 15 Aug 2016 09:04:25 EST Day 16 of my challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6216021 So I've been sticking with my goals, well sort of. If i miss a day of exercise, i make it up the next day. If i splurge a little on the weekends, i make sure I stay moving. I have noticed a big change in my pant size, but not the scale. I try not to stress over the scale, so i try to only weigh in once a week. Well today it happened!!!! Maybe it's because I have only had a protein drink for breakfast so far, but I will take it!! Down 5 lbs in the last month.
Hope everyone has a great da... Thu, 11 Aug 2016 08:58:13 EST Day 14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6214798 Well i didn't make up the exercise last night, that i missed over the weekend. I live in a apartment and there were issues with a short in my electric. I didn't want to exercise with the maintenance guy there and no electric. The short might have happened because my daughters metal bed frame was rubbing against an outlet. And my kids' room is a huge mess So we need to clean and rearrange. By the time he got it going, i made dinner, cleaned up, then passed out.
But today is a new day, got... Tue, 9 Aug 2016 09:08:57 EST Day 13 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6214439 Kinda slacked on the weekend again, so i got some extra exercise to make up.
Still haven't gotten around to making that recipe book with the kids.
I'm thinking of making a motivation board for my bedroom, (this is where i exercise) hmmm maybe i just need an entire wall of motivation lol.
Hope everyone has a great day Mon, 8 Aug 2016 16:20:35 EST Day 9 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6212063 So far so good. Thu, 28 Jul 2016 09:00:28 EST Starting a new challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6207582 Well i was going to wait until the 1st of the month, but why wait right?
I really need to get my Fitbit out of the closet and start using it again. Today I am starting the Skinny Jeans Challenge. My problem is, every time i start a challenge, i never finish it. I skip a day or two, tell myself i will make it up, then give up.
I am also going to start tracking my food better. Wed, 27 Jul 2016 11:23:17 EST Lots of changes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6206347 I have been going through a nasty separation that is now turned into an even nastier divorce ever since March. However, I have to say, some good has come out of this. I have a closer and better relationship with my two girls. I quit using my vape (e-cigarette, no more nicotine!!). I quit drinking every night. In fact, I have only drank a few times this month and they were special occasions and within a certain limit. I am so glad to be out of the routine of bad habits with my husband, and int... I have been through some really tough times lately and decided to hop back on. And I am so lucky to have such wonderful support. For as long as i can remember, i have always had trouble staying AF. I was lucky if i had 4 days a month. But i recently decided to get my life together and get healthy again. In March i moved from a 1 story house to a 3rd floor apartment. This has actually helped a lot. I am taking the stairs at work again instead of the elevator. Taking walks on my work breaks. And walking to someones desk at work versus messaging. And when the kids and i go shopping, we kind of race to see how fast we can do it. We tend to miss a few things, but it's fun and they dont get so bored.... This will help me keep track of any patterns.

2013
Jan (didn't track)
Feb (didn't track)
14 March
15 April
8 May
11 June
8 July
6 August
12 September
19 October
14 November
16 December
Total AF days in 2013=123/365

2014
10 January
(didn't track) February
11... Mon, 20 Jul 2015 10:36:05 EST Day 106 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5963673 I haven't been keeping up with my exercise routine. I just need to get back on track and get moving more. Still eating healthy, lots of veggies and proteins and not so much fat and carbs. My drinking hasn't been too bad, 10 AF days so far this month, but i think i can do better.

I am adding a new goal, well sort of several goals. But this time it's for my family too. As I am making changes to my own habits, I am realizing that my families habits could be better too.
Exercise... Mon, 20 Jul 2015 09:56:33 EST Day 101 Work Golf Outing http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5961132 Once a year, my work closes the office at noon and we all go golfing. There are tons of prizes, games, free drinks, food and all kinds of fun stuff. And every year I usually go overboard with the free alcoholic drinks and food. This year i have a plan.

This year I am part of our fun committee who sets it all up. So I will be very busy getting everything ready and doing various things throughout the day.

For lunch-we usually have pop, sandwiches, cookies and chips. I wil... Wed, 15 Jul 2015 09:42:10 EST Full of regret, but it's a new day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5958524 I don't know what i was thinking, but i decided to have a drink last night, which would have been fine. But that one drink turned into 5 very quickly. I woke up this morning with so much regret. But i need to just stop beating myself up and get back on track.
I woke up feeling tired, dehydrated, drained, and ashamed. Then i made it worse. Since i was too tired to make a nice breakfast, i stopped at Burger King. After tracking my 858 calorie, 119 carb and 38 fat breakfast, it hit me. Wha... Fri, 10 Jul 2015 09:41:59 EST Exercise, AF and Recipes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5958029 I feel like gumby but in a good way...i guess. I've been keeping up with my walkabout challenge. It was 10 min of walking yesterday (i did a total of 20 minutes of walking stairs). I also pulled weeds and gardened for about an hour. And did my walkabout challenge of 1 set of 10 reps (Skater squats, forward lunges, calf raises, planks, supermans, pendulums, pushups and tricep dips) So ya, i'm walking a little like gumby.

Still AF this week, my last drink was on Saturday. I am havin... Thu, 9 Jul 2015 10:18:03 EST FOOD! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5956375 I am starting to really like cooking now that I have been experimenting with recipes. One of my favorites is light alfredo sauce, with lots of mixed veggies and chicken. I like to precook my chicken, so it's really fast and easy to make. One that my kids liked are the "hot pockets" I made. Reduced fat biscuits rolled out and stuffed with whatever they want, then baked. Eggs, Cheese, Lean Ham, Turkey Pepperoni, Chicken, (just about anything really). Next time, maybe i will throw some of my alf... Mon, 6 Jul 2015 12:01:31 EST Day 92 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5956366 I am starting over with the walkabout challenge. I guess the holiday weekend consumed me and I got off track. Well time to get back on.

Exercising-10 min. everyday
Eating-keep on tracking and trying new recipes
Drinking-Stay AF on the week days

I went for a bike ride for the first time in....well, i guess since i was a kid. My legs were burning and felt like jello by the time we finished, but it also felt great. The seats were really uncomfortable though, so we... Mon, 6 Jul 2015 11:51:45 EST
