Tue, 14 Feb 2017 11:34:53 EST Happy Monday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6307778 I did not exercise at all last week. Since it's Monday, I think it's a good time to start that habit up again. Thu, 26 Jan 2017 09:14:50 EST Back to lazy, but not for long http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6304961 Did 4 days in a row of P90X last week and it felt great, but then the weekend came.....and i sort of stopped. So time to continue with the routine again and get back on track tonight.
I just need to keep the same routine during the weekend that i do during the week. I even have more time on the weekend, so no excuses!!

Hope everyone has a great day Wed, 25 Jan 2017 10:12:25 EST Stressed-time to give myself a pep talk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6301911 It's been a stressful day, but i'm still doing okay. There is something different this time though. Instead of wanting to veg out on the couch eating junk food or drinking my problems away. I want to leave work, go home and do some Kenpo!!
I weighed myself this week and noticed I dropped a few lbs, yay me. I didn't think there was a difference in my waste line until i was exercising last night and noticed myself in the mirror. I noticed my face seems to glow a little more. My circles ar... Fri, 20 Jan 2017 11:10:30 EST BPI Sports and Best Aminos...????? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6301233 Okay so i use a few apps to save me money (like Checkout 51 and Ibotta) and these two items popped up on the list to save $5 on each one (using both apps saves me $10 for each)

So my question is, has anyone heard of these? I printed off a calendar of January, put it on my wall and got some stickers.
This is how i will keep track of my exercising, like a gold star chart. Once i finish exercising, i put a sticker up. (well cheap blue dots). My daughter saw what i was doing and said she will even draw happy faces on them for me :)

Maybe I will make a motivation board for myself (like ive been promising the last how ever many years) Wed, 18 Jan 2017 14:19:09 EST Not Starting Over http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6299915 No more starting over. I am just going to call it, continuing my journey.
Yesterday I did 90 min of P90X Kenpo. I actually had a plan to do a certain exercise everyday, but I didn't really want to exercise, so i picked out the one i enjoy most.
I'm feeling pretty positive, and plan to do another 90 min tonight, i just haven't decided which one yet.
And thanks for all the encouragement on my last blog. I laughed at a joke i made about a sticker chart, but im actually thinking... Tue, 17 Jan 2017 10:37:01 EST Need to stay motivated http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6299368 Started P90X a little before last week, didn't get very far. 90 min one day, 30 min a couple days later, then another 90 min a few days later.
I really need to just stick with it, everyday. What's it going to take to get motivated. A calendar with a gold star every time I work out?!?!?
Well it's cold outside and roads are icy. As much as i would like to curl up on the couch with comfort food, as soon as i get home.....I need to keep moving and start working out as soon as i get in t... Mon, 16 Jan 2017 15:32:20 EST not giving up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6294602 Well I finally did it. I got my lazy ass off the couch and tried P90X for the first time in years. I expected myself to quit 5 minutes in, but I didn't. I actually went the whole 90 minutes of the Core workout. The next day, I couldn't sneeze without wincing. My muscles haven't been worked that much in a long time. So I decided not to exercise the next day....or the next day...oops don't want to give up yet. So tonight, my goal is to go another 90 minutes. I might even have to split up the ti... Mon, 9 Jan 2017 12:48:04 EST Time to just jump in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6292541 So my last blog talked about how i'm not going to change my diet or habits but just start by exercising. Well, I can't even get my ass off the couch long enough to start. I have been putting it off, telling myself that i will do it later, or start on another day. No motivation at all.

So a friend of mine copied her P90X videos onto a flashdrive for me. I haven't done P90X in years and lost my DVDS. So this weekend, no excuses!! I'm just going to jump right in and see what happens. ... Fri, 6 Jan 2017 11:35:28 EST New Years Resolutions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6287388 Well i haven't been exercising, tracking, watching what i eat or been on SP since October. I gained 15 lbs back pretty fast. But this time my resolution isn't to lose weight. This time it's to exercise, and eat healthier. I'm not getting rid of pop or junk food, but I am going to eat more veggies and fruits. I'm not going to quit drinking alcohol but i will keep it in moderation and keep drinking lots of water. Yes i have gotten lazy, and im tired as soon as i get home from work. So for now o... Fri, 30 Dec 2016 09:00:40 EST A new track http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6251421 I keep setting goals, in which i never accomplish, then i get disappointed in myself. So, I decided forget it, no more challenges, no more goals, i'm just going to do what makes me happy.

Then a read a blog that made me re-think everything all over again. Then I stepped on the scale......All that hard work and I let myself go. I do need to get back on track, but this time it will be a different track. I am going to start off small and work my way up.

I am going to stop... Tomorrow it's time to get back on track. I need to get back to tracking all food, exercising every day, and practice good portion control. This month i have slacked off with more excuses than i knew i could come up with.
I have a busy month ahead starting this weekend with a baby shower and a trip to the pumpkin patch with my kids.
My daughters 13th birthday is coming up too, we are planning a candy theme. Fri, 30 Sep 2016 09:30:20 EST Fresh Fall Start http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6242539 Okay so i keep saying how i am going to get back on track, but haven't yet. So i am going to go ahead and give myself a few more days to screw off, then it's back to a healthy routine.
October 1st is on a Saturday, this gives me all day to pick a time to exercise, same with Sunday. No excuses, once i start exercising, i know i will enjoy it and get back into the routine. I also want to try a few healthy crockpot meals and what better time then the weekend. I have my sisters Baby Shower o... Tue, 27 Sep 2016 09:05:07 EST Happy Fall... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6240088 I am losing energy and motivation, and getting out of routine. I can't even count how many times I started with "Day 1". I am still eating healthy, still maintaining the weight that I lost, which is good. But I haven't been able to finish a 2nd 30 day challenge or even daily challenges. I keep using my leg (i have stitches in my calf) as an excuse. But the truth is, there are lots of things i can do that doesn't involve a leg. And I need something to get me back to my happy self and get motiv... Thu, 22 Sep 2016 09:29:07 EST Day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6238369 I have been very lazy all week, and once the weekend hit, it got worse. I used the stitches in my calf as an excuse. This week was fun, but it's time to get back on track. No more pop, no more fast food, get back to exercising, and tracking my food.

Hope everyone has a great week Mon, 19 Sep 2016 08:51:35 EST Stupid stitches http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6235677 Well i got stitches on Saturday night from a fence. I was helping load fire wood, climbed back over the fence and it caught my calf and ripped it.
So i decided not to engage in any leg exercises. Well I had to go grocery shopping yesterday and just by walking, one of my stitches came undone. The thread is still in there, it's just untied....like a shoelace. So i'm trying to take it easy so i don't rip anything. I didn't get around to doing my ab and arm workout last night.
I'm afr... Wed, 14 Sep 2016 09:44:24 EST Challenge not going so well http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6234610 Well I slacked on Friday, didn't do my 28 day challenge. Saturday I was helping someone load wood over the fence. Then I jumped over the fence when I was done. Not a very smart move. The fence caught my calf and tore my leg open. Had to go into the ER and get stitches.
So I'm not going to do the 28 day challenge. But I am still going to work out the rest of my body. Just gotta take it easy on the leg.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and a great week ahead! Mon, 12 Sep 2016 12:09:55 EST Day 3-looking for a new recipe http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6232183 So far, so good. On day 3 of my challenge.
The kids and I are bored with our normal meals, so I'm looking for something new. The problem is, my 13 year old loves fresh fruits and veggies, but it's hard to get her to eat meat. My 9 year old loves meats, but not a fan of fruits and veggies. And they are both VERY picky eaters.
The type of dinners we usually eat are tacos, spaghetti, hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, mac n cheese, chicken. We are not fans of any food from the water, like ... Thu, 8 Sep 2016 09:08:24 EST Starting over my 2nd challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6231201 I started my challenge before i decided i was going to go camping, and now i'm thinking it was a mistake. I was pretty lazy, ate a lot of junk, and lots of sugary drinks.....oops.
So here we go....again....Day 1 of my 28 day challenge.
Oh, and i did a little garage saleing before i went camping and found a brand new yoga mat for $1. I was just using blankets on the floor, so i'm excited that i finally have one again.
Hope everyone has a great day!!
Tue, 6 Sep 2016 16:00:43 EST Day 7-slacking, but no biggie, i will make it up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6228272 Well I skipped my workout last night (even though i said i wouldn't do this) I will make it up today. I also had a few beers last night. Nothing too bad, just a few, but it did put me over my calories for the day (otherwise i would have been good on all nutrition for the day)
I'm not going to beat myself up, I deserved a little break.
Tonight, I finish shopping, start packing, pre-cooking, and getting ready!! Because tomorrow we go camping!!! And I wont be back til Monday. I don't ... Thu, 1 Sep 2016 09:18:10 EST Camping this weekend!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6227627 I have plans to go camping this weekend with family. I am so excited!! We go every year for Memorial Weekend, but I wanted to go a second time this year. I pre-make a lot of my meals, but they are not always healthy. However with all the exercise I will be getting, i'm sure I can make up for it. It's so nice to see the kids up and moving, playing games and running around, instead of laying around with their face glued to electronics. There will be other kids there this time, so it will be eve... Wed, 31 Aug 2016 09:12:52 EST Day 6 of Challenge #2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6227624 So far so good. There are days where I don't want to do it, and I tell myself that I can make it up tomorrow. But I promised myself I wouldn't do that with this challenge.
With school starting, I don't have as much time as I would like. You know when the kids schedules change, so does yours. So by the time I get off work, pick the kids up, get home, we only have so much time to make and eat dinner, clean up, showers, etc.
So I think i'm going to set aside 1 or 2 hrs on Saturdays a... Wed, 31 Aug 2016 09:04:23 EST Day 4 of 2nd challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6226626 So far so good. I'm still on track with the exercising. However, I did eat dinner with my family last night and may have had some pop, chips and lite dip. Oh and I also had a huge New York strip steak (and yes, i ate the whole damn thing), corn on the cob and cottage cheese with seasalt. I passed on the Hershey Chocolate and Hershey Strawberry pie, but i did have some cherry and lemon poppy seed bread.
Hope everyone is having a great day!! Mon, 29 Aug 2016 16:21:35 EST Done with 30 Day Challenge onto new 28 day challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6224776 I finished my 30 day challenge!! I have lost between 5-10 lbs in the last month!
So onto my next challenge, the 28 day Home Challenge. My goal is to make sure i find time to do the challenge every day. (instead of skipping a day or two then making up the work later, like i was)
Another goal, is to just keep moving. I found that once i hit the couch, i don't want to move. So i just gotta keep on moving.
Hope everyone has a great day!! Fri, 26 Aug 2016 09:17:04 EST Day 28 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6223040 I have a cold and wasn't really feeling up to exercising, so i didn't get in as much as i wanted to yesterday. I still feel kinda crappy, but i will make it up tonight.
Tomorrow school starts, so new schedule and new routine for all of us. My kids spent most the summer at friends houses, so i was able to go walk/jog a few hours a few times a week. So I will need to come up with another plan.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Tue, 23 Aug 2016 10:07:01 EST Day 24 of my challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6220786 Well since I skipped a couple days, I made up the exercise yesterday, plus some. I like to walk around a park called Copper Creek. So last night I decided to get some better running shoes. When i first started my challenge, I walked around the lake twice within 1 1/2 hours. Yesterday I went around four times in 1 1/2 hours. It was between 84 and 88 degrees and very humid so I was pouring sweat like crazy. But it felt so good!!

Hope everyone has a great day!
Fri, 19 Aug 2016 08:42:39 EST Day 20 of my 30 day Challenge (can't blame the state fair) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6218248 I went to the Iowa State Fair on Friday. And yes I did snack on some fried foods, and I had a few drinks. However I couldn't believe how much walking i got in.

My fitbit Goals:
8,000 Steps 4 miles 30 active minutes

So the results on Friday:
22,963 steps 9.28 miles 115 active minutes
Total of 2,699 calories burned

But, my body was so sore that i slacked the next day. Then i had a very busy day yesterday. But today is a new day, i will make up m... Mon, 15 Aug 2016 09:04:25 EST Day 16 of my challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6216021 So I've been sticking with my goals, well sort of. If i miss a day of exercise, i make it up the next day. If i splurge a little on the weekends, i make sure I stay moving. I have noticed a big change in my pant size, but not the scale. I try not to stress over the scale, so i try to only weigh in once a week. Well today it happened!!!! Maybe it's because I have only had a protein drink for breakfast so far, but I will take it!! Down 5 lbs in the last month.
Hope everyone has a great da... Thu, 11 Aug 2016 08:58:13 EST Day 14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6214798 Well i didn't make up the exercise last night, that i missed over the weekend. I live in a apartment and there were issues with a short in my electric. I didn't want to exercise with the maintenance guy there and no electric.
