Your nails have a washboard effect to them and are extremely thin. For years I just hid them by covering them up with my shirt sleeves or ball up my fists.
My doctors didn't know why, I was told I was lackin... Thu, 14 Jan 2010 00:45:51 EST A little off track... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2741827 My friend and I had a girls day out yesterday. I've been pretty bummed about graduating and not having a job. Really frustrating I must say. Any who we went to Burlington and bummed around some bookstores where I (gasp!) spent some money on some books and coffee. It was refreshing to get out, but alas, my diet suffered a bit that say and we got back so late that I just went to bed without doing any exercises. Today I made up for it with added cardio (that's right, I snuck some in) and focu... Wed, 13 Jan 2010 20:21:36 EST Work that booty! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2728362 I've been doing the bootcamp now for a week. I've noticed a difference in my energy level and I have lost a pound and a half. Odd thing is, I havn't been doing the cardio....mainly because I bust my butt around the house already as it is. Winter in Vermont brings chore after chore after chore and I count that as my cardio. Is this wrong? Mon, 11 Jan 2010 11:04:58 EST up and ready to go...sort of http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2724169 The last few days I havn't been posting, I just was in a real slump. I did my workouts and still followed my diet plan but just took a few days to myself :)
It's been pretty cold here lately (-3 degrees when I came home last night) and it keeps on getting colder. I'm use to it- but dang! Anywho, I'm alive and kicking but struggling to find energy. I'm thinking it has to do with the weather.....but I'm going to keep on moving it and pushing myself. Sun, 10 Jan 2010 15:00:16 EST Winter Workout http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2709267 Since I live in the Northeast Kingdom, I had more than my share of winter chores to do this morning. First one was to fill the bird feeders....all 15 of them. Then came the act of shoveling a path to the compost (yes, even in winter I compost) and to the hen house. So far all of our chicken have been doing well, despite the freezing temperatures. And man do those ladies produce! We get 11 eggs everyday!

C... Thu, 7 Jan 2010 11:52:17 EST Work out woes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2703531 I just finished my workout today and it seemed like a real chore. I got through it, but I don't think I pushed myself like I normally do. It took all my will power just to do my bootcamp video and then my regular exercises took forever for me to complete. It's not that I'm sore, in fact my body feels great! I also had enough sleep last night. Maybe it's becasue I haven't done cardio since Sunday.... that usually peps me up.
It's just frustrating to me that once I seem to be doing... Wed, 6 Jan 2010 11:24:22 EST Wow- I have Energy http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2697796 for the first time in a while I woke up and stayed up- this is amazing news to me!!! I definitely think its due to the increased workout (bootcamp shout out!) and the change in my diet. I hope to build up my back soon as well so I won't have so much trouble with it. So far so good- I'm sticking to my goals! 104 Tue, 5 Jan 2010 11:53:41 EST Fustrating! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2693159 When I tell people that I want to get healthy, the answer all in the same way- "but you are already skinny! You have a tiny waist". There are two major things wrong with this statement.
1. I said healthy, not stick thin. It would be nice to run without wheezing and not be tired all day long. Also, 150 pounds on my 5'5 frame is not healthy. And my BMI proves it.
2. I am what is called a pronounced pear shape. This means I carry ALL of my weight in my hips, thighs and booty. To ... Mon, 4 Jan 2010 17:27:24 EST I'm going to try this tomorrow! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2683240 I bought some tempeh today when I went grocery shopping- and I found this great recipe online for a pasta dish. I will try it and tell you what I think!

Spaghetti Marinara With Tempeh Recipe
Ingredients

* 1 large can tomato sauce
* 1 onion
* 1 garlic clove
* 1 small zucchini
* 1/2 sweet red pepper
* 3/4 pound dry spaghetti
* 5-6 tablespoons olive oil
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 te... Sat, 2 Jan 2010 23:23:57 EST cold! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2681500 Other than there being tons of snow here, today was a pretty good day. I went grocery shopping and picked up my food for the next two weeks, most of it being raw food. I did go slightly over my caloric intake today, which I'm not to bummed about becasue I was pretty low on it for the last 3 days. I will just have to make sure I'm at or under it tomorrow.
My snowboard has been gathering dust, and its a shame because the snow is the perfect consistency right now. But until I find work t... Sat, 2 Jan 2010 16:22:51 EST So this is the new year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2677293 Since I left my last entry I have graduated college, survived my rugby season and got quite a bit more tattoos. It's hard to believe that I haven't been on board with my health for over a year!
In 2010 I'm hoping my life will take a leap for the better. My goals are to become more in tune with my body, and create a healthy lifestyle that I can follow for life. I could wish for the imposable and say that I'm going to tighten my rear and become a supermodel but that wont happen. I am g... Fri, 1 Jan 2010 18:47:17 EST UGH! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1479346 Ok so I've fallen way back on my progress lately! One reason is that I've joined the womens rugby team and I eat like a horse to keep up with my calories burned. Unfortunately, during the last game a scrum fell on me and I put a hairline crack in my ribs and separated my cartilage from my sternum. But I'm still eating like I'm not sidelined for a week. Grrrrr it's hard to just sit and watch when you want to do more. Next week I will make up for it..... Thu, 25 Sep 2008 19:17:01 EST
