NICOLEZOE's SparkPeople Blog NICOLEZOE's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community 4 years Has it been 4 years already???
I hit my 4 year sparkversary this month and I'm feeling pretty great! I joined Planet Fitness and I love it!! Ive been going for a few hours a night for the past few weeks late at night. In the past 2 weeks I'm down an inch and can fit into my sweater nicely that I wore when I was much leaner.
I'm going to wait to weigh myself for a while so I don't know what my weight is now. I get nervous weighing myself. Not sure why I still cringe at a number on... Mon, 19 Dec 2016 03:12:09 EST On a roll.. a small one but you got to start somewhere! Hello!
So I'm only on a 4 day streak of cutting out bad stuff altogether. Although I did slip up and had a few crackers and cheese the other day. Then I put them directly in the fridge. BUT I've worked out every day and yesterday I took a nice run down on the beach. Small steps. It kind of feels like the first time I was on my big journey to lose weight. I even made a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and ate NONE! What?? Will Power!

A lot has happened in the past two m... Sun, 23 Oct 2016 11:36:19 EST 4 years I feel like every time I get on SP it has to do with some anniversary. Today my youngest turns 4. Today I am also giving myself the goal of watching what I eat closer for the next 4 months. That will be my 4 year Sparkversary and 4 months from today I'll want to brag to myself about my journey. I will want to know all that hard work was worth it.

I've put some weight back on. Not tons of weight. I mean, I don't think anyone would call me fat, well maybe they would, but I wouldn't ... Wed, 3 Aug 2016 00:56:17 EST I got this! 3 years ago I suffered from terrible postpartum depression. 3 years ago today I did something about it. I laced up my shoes and went on a "run". I was 70 lbs heavier back then so it was more like a fast walk but I did it! I finished one mile, so I decided I could do it again, and again. Every day giving myself new challenges. Fast forward two years later and I've kept almost all of it off. Like I alw... Fri, 4 Dec 2015 20:37:25 EST Getting back to the swing of things So today was a pretty good day. I woke up too early since my kids don't run by the daylight savings time. I had an open house on my Iowa house. Some people seemed interested. I ran 1 mile, nonstop and biked 2. I took my kids to my new friend's house. I skyped the inlaws with the kids. I cooked a healthy lunch and had healthy-ish leftovers for supper and then gave the kids a bath. Pretended to read a book to my 2 year old (basically just talked about the pictures since how many times can you r... Sun, 2 Nov 2014 22:43:58 EST Moving Hello,
So a lot has happened with me since my last post. Well I made it on the derby team. Thank you all for your encouragement! It was sooo much fun and I made lots of really amazing friends. I loved it. But then my husband got transferred to Denver so I had to leave it. I went thru a patch of depression while my husband and I were living 12 hours apart. Before my house was even sold (still on the market) I moved out here. It was really hard but I think I'm doing better now. Forcing mys... Thu, 30 Oct 2014 16:47:05 EST Roller derby!?! Hello All,
I apologize, I haven't really been on here for a while. I've been terribly busy with work, my kids, painting, volleyball and dealing with storm damage. A few weeks ago winds knocked a tree into our house causing lots of damage. It hit our brand new ac unit and brand new gutters. Thank goodness for insurance!! I would sit here and complain about it but in a weird twist it actually worked out well for me. After the man installed my ac unit he asked me to be his secretary at the ... Wed, 16 Jul 2014 00:57:09 EST Gaining weight... Happy Easter to all my Spark Friends!
I've decided to write a blog today to help me get out of my head. I seem to keep focusing on the numbers on the scale and less on how my clothes are fitting. I keep working out and eating better (but not amazing like I was) and still gaining weight. I normally wouldn't be upset with gain but I was at 164 and now I'm back to 170. I so desperately was trying to get down to the 150s but I keep gaining muscle (or so everyone tells me) and gaining weight.... Sun, 20 Apr 2014 22:53:14 EST Insanity Blog with a little of this & a little of that.. I've decided that you all are going to get pretty sick of hearing about my insanity adventure since this will be my main form of exercise for the next 8 weeks! So sorry about it in advance! Lol I've just always wanted to know if it really would work for me. I know exercise worked, but will I really get abs in 60 days? We shall see. In the end I plan to post before and after photos so stay tuned.

Anyways I just hit my 2 week mark this weekend. I'm feeling pretty good about myself. ... Mon, 24 Mar 2014 00:17:13 EST One year mark!! Who would have thought time would fly so fast!? An entire year in the blink of an eye.
Looking back at this year I've had lots of ups and downs, but I wouldn't have changed getting myself off of the couch and getting active for a second. Who would have thought I'd stay on a "diet" for more then a week, let alone 52!
So as of right now I'm down 68 lbs and went from a women's size 18 pant to buying my very first ever size 8 skinny jean pant!! So woo hoo!! Never in a million years wou... Wed, 4 Dec 2013 21:18:58 EST Been a busy lady! So I must apologize for not being on here as much as I should. I have been so busy this month, it has been hard to get a minute for myself.

Well I've been doing ok with working out. I try to stick to about 4 days a week. BUT.... I've been eating at work a lot lately. Bar food for lunch 3 days a week, since I'm a bartender. So when i do work out they are pretty intense. Mon, 26 Aug 2013 01:32:55 EST Back in it Hi guys,
Haven't written in a while. Life has been crazy lately! With work and kids, I've had no time for SP, although I should get on here daily to keep myself in check.

Ok well I have now passed my first big huge goal mark. I was trying to loose 65 before my daughter's first bday. That gave me 8 months and I did awesome. I lost 63 lbs in that 8 month span. So close but I'll get there.

Ive changed my goals for my new goal date. Which is my year mark. I hope to lo... Sun, 11 Aug 2013 23:38:43 EST 3 weeks to go So it has been a week since I've gone full gear into my trying to loose 11 lbs in 1 month. This week I'm down around 2.5 lbs.
This week has been hard. Not the whole exercise thing. I'm used to that by now, but the over eating while emotional thing. I will admit I've slipped up. I had pizza hut Friday night and left over pizza on Sat. Boy, did I feel terrible after eating it. I had some hard lemonade on the 4th with chips and marshmallows . I tried to not let what some ignorant person sa... Mon, 8 Jul 2013 00:28:15 EST One more month! Hello All,
So today my baby girl is 11 months! That means I have one more month until I hit my goal date! I am trying to lose 67 lbs before her first birthday. I'm pretty nervous because that means I have one month to lose 11 lbs.
Now you might think that 67 lbs might just be baby weight I packed on from the pregnancy, well you'd be way wrong. I never looked what my weight was my entire pregnancy so I know in all actuality I've I've probably lost over 76 lbs since August. But sin... Tue, 2 Jul 2013 12:01:21 EST Better day today! Today turned out way better then the last few days as I was so frustrated with thinking that my daughters got lice from that bday party I just took them into the doctors to double check. Also to check my head as I can't see my own. Found out that we DON'T have it. Thank God!
But I did talk to her about some issues I've been having and found out that I need to put more iron in my system. That could be why I've been having hair loss, bruising and dizzy. I was actually really paranoid, bu... Tue, 18 Jun 2013 18:12:09 EST stupid stupid day So I didn't get my workout in because I was busy running around cleaning today.
Yesterday was my daughter's 6th birthday and we had her a pool party, then I let her cousin spend the night after I took them out to a movie. The whole time they were great, perfect day. I even bought them matching hats and they were doing this cute little secret hand shake which involved them flipping there hats around and rubbing their heads together. It was adorable.
Then I dropped my niece off and ... Mon, 17 Jun 2013 01:39:59 EST My art Hi guys,
So I just reuploaded a bunch of my paintings on my fineartamerica acct. Feel free to check it out :) Enjoy!

ezoe.html

Have a great day!
Nicki Mon, 3 Jun 2013 16:57:02 EST Another day down Hi guys,
So today was just a blah day. I forced myself to not workout because I've been running the past few weeks and haven't taken a break. I've been running about 3 miles each day and lately I've been real light headed and been bruising easily. Not to mention I've noticed I've been shedding a lot more. I have real thick hair so I'm the only one that notices, but I figure I better get my butt in to see a doctor tomorrow. Not looking forward to the blood tests that I'm assuming they'll ... Fri, 10 May 2013 23:17:51 EST hehe little funny end to my run So today I went on a run(leaving the kids at home with my husband) not knowing where I'd end up. Well I ended up running 2.14 miles without stopping and feeling great, then about .5 mi away from home I started getting huge cramps in my sides. Well since I live in town I figured I'd just go to my friend's house and stop by and grab her double jogging stroller since I have taken in another baby for a few weeks.

Well anyways, on my walk back home, this older gentleman gardening says ... Fri, 10 May 2013 16:15:31 EST Today marks 5 months! Hello All!
Today is my 5 month mark of making a huge change to my previous huge life and I couldn't be more thrilled! I have busted my butt trying to shed this weight and IT IS WORKING! Who would have thunk, diet and exercise were the key. I mean my parents always told me to eat less and get outside more but I always thought... psh, what do they know?? Well, hate to admit it, all this time they were right! All the shakes, pills & money wasted. Now the trick is to teach my daughters how ... Thu, 2 May 2013 01:48:00 EST Feeling very Sparky this week! So I haven't written a blog for a few weeks and I just want to tell everyone how much I love this site! So thanks guys!

Well this week has been great! This weekend I went out with my husband for my brother-in-law's birthday and everyone had positive comments about how much I've change. One person even sai... Mon, 22 Apr 2013 02:02:34 EST My favorite Spark Recipe- challenge So I decided to add my favorite Spark Recipe. I would do all of my recipes that I tried this week but the rest of them basically are me swapping out ground beef for ground turkey or adding apple sauce to banana bread & substituting that for eggs or oil. Anyways here is my favorite! I did it with walnuts because it is more handy, but I love this because you don't need a boat load of sugar!

BAKED GRAPEFRUIT

Minutes to Prepare: 5
Minutes to Cook: 15
Number of Ser... Fri, 12 Apr 2013 23:59:10 EST Diarrhea of the mouth I'm writing this blog about yesterday because for some reason I just can't shake it. Mon, 8 Apr 2013 14:47:45 EST Last day is my second day back Last week I had posted my goals and I feel like I'm mostly meeting them. I just got my stitches taken out yesterday so I did my first hard exercise in ten days. I felt terrible with my side killing me the whole time but it just gave me so much energy for the rest of the day, it was so worth it! Although I was late 5 min for my appointment so I'm getting better with the being late thing but still not there yet... a goal to work on.

I also deleted my facebook account. I don't know if... Thu, 4 Apr 2013 11:21:14 EST My goals I am in a weight loss challenge and one of the things that they want us to do is make a blog about our goals for the next 6 weeks. So here we go:
#1. Work out at least 5 days a week and do an activity outdoors (walking, bike riding, etc) the other days.
#2. Not spend so much time online.
#3. Cook and eat healthy meals
#4. Be on time (I'm always late even when I leave 5 min early)
#5. Ignore and stay away from the drama queens around me. It just gets me down.
#6. ... Sat, 30 Mar 2013 00:29:11 EST Obsessed, me? Hello Spark Friends,
So, I haven't been able to workout this week due to me having to get stitches in my back. That means I am out until the second from my hard workouts. For now I'll just be taking walks. I walked up to the library today and checked out the biggest loser cookbooks and a couple more weight loss books. Figure if I have to take a break, I'll have to stay in wt. loss mindset. Hope it works!

Haven't gone an entire week w/out exercise since I started 4 months ago.... Thu, 28 Mar 2013 01:55:42 EST
