Walk the dog 20+ minutes
2. Clean out the litterboxes
3. Log onto SP
4. Blog or journal on SP
5. Have all dishes washed by end of day
6. Be active at least once
7. Take effort on looking "put together" (always a big confidence booster with me)

One-time goals:

8. Rea... Fri, 8 Feb 2013 04:47:46 EST Weightloss is not a Turnstyle Although it does feel like it sometimes. It makes me think of the oversized ones in NYC, constantly moving in slow motion. Reaching a goal is like that burst of fresh air once you hit outside, gaining or even maintaining the extra weight is that uncomfortable stuffy stage while the doors are turning.

I wouldn't be on SparkPeople if I didn't want to change, but since joining I've had my battles. Making time, dealing with unforeseen stress, but mostly it was my own monsters. I reali... Thu, 7 Feb 2013 01:20:40 EST PINK Reset Days 1 & 2 I decided to go back to the PINK Method plan. I had my doubts last time although it still worked. I know that most of it is kind of common sense (drink lots of water, eat healthy whole foods), but it is specifically designed for women and comes with workouts that tie into the diet. Plus, I already own it since I was dying to have it last year.

I know it's not a perfect solution, but because it's so guided and comes with specific vegan options I am going to rely on it's directions n... Tue, 11 Dec 2012 18:37:53 EST The Bad, The Ugly, and The Worst. I was so confident that the bed bugs were going to be all taken care of back in September but I was wrong. Our neighbor kept bringing them back or maybe they were just so in the walls the treatments weren't effective. Earlier this month (December) I finally got the okay to move and we switched to a larger unit that is guaranteed bed bug free.

Anyone who has had bedbugs understands the stress and anxiety they can cause. I lived with that anxiety nonstop for four months. This, howeve... Tue, 11 Dec 2012 14:22:29 EST I'm Still Fighting the Good Fight! I haven't logged on in awhile, not because I fell out of the diet just because things got a little crazy. Overall, I managed to keep up my weight loss and am down to 170 (even though it may be less if I had managed to stay here). I am glad I did not put back any weight.

In the beginning of June I had a heat stroke, which really forced me to analyze my life and pushed me towards being a healthier person. It made me start doing yoga and train for a 5K. It also pushed me into re-enrol... Thu, 6 Sep 2012 05:14:42 EST Imagining My Goals I've been skimming the PINK Method handbook since starting the journey, but this morning I decided to sit down and actually read it.

Page 38 talks about Goals. We all have them, from strutting around in a pair of skinny jeans to participating in a triathlon. Our goals drive us and inspire us while we face our challenges with life. So, of course, it was no surprise to read about goals in a diet book. They want you to sit and imagine the person you want to become. And then they want... Sun, 27 May 2012 07:37:01 EST Fighting the Hunger Bug Today started off wonderful! I awoke on time on my own at 6am and was so happy to see the scale give me an 8lb weight loss. I'm only 2lbs away from 170lbs! Being below 160 will be a huge deal for me, and every step I take closer to that is wonderful!

I started my day with the PINK Method Smoothie #1 and a quick house cleaning. My mood was up and I felt amazing! Then about 9am I started to crave Oreos.

You see a few days ago I received the Grand Prize in the Oreo's 100th ... Sat, 26 May 2012 12:40:38 EST Building a Relationship with Myself Yesterday I woke up at four morning with a searing pain in my stomach. My head was throbbing and I groped away blindly in the darkness finding my way to the bathroom. (I'm sure you can see where this is going ...). My husband woke up a few hours later to find me curled up on the couch clutching a saltine I was attempting to nibble on watching some crazy TLC show. I was upset and disappointed with myself. Anytime I was sick or messed up, my mind would start with the usual, "Oh you can never st... Thu, 24 May 2012 09:34:05 EST The Point of No Return I had three such moments in my life. If it were a movie, they would be shown sequentially but in real life they happened separately over the course of a month.

The first point was in the car, on the way to a party. We don't really get out much anymore, not that we ever did. We're both introverts, preferring to socialize via the soft glow of a computer screen than face to face interaction. I pulled down the car visor to check my makeup and saw it - a lone chin hair. I was so repulse... Tue, 22 May 2012 08:40:38 EST
