We have not set a date but are shooting for sometime in the fall.

We have decided to live on the farm. It is a fairly small home he has on the farm and his mom lives in the big farmhouse which she said he will have first dibs on when she is ready to sell ( in a couple of years). This will entail a pretty big downsize of stuff that I have. I have already gone through all of my clothes and gotten rid ... Sat, 10 Jan 2015 12:09:35 EST Day 9 Did good with the logging yesterday.

Also, I plan to work on waking up 1/2 hour early and taking the dogs for a proper walk at least 3 days a week to start. I always walk them but have started to do "just around the block" or about a 1/4 mile most times. This morning I took them up town and back which was 1 1/4 mile. I used to do this almost everyday but have gotten a tad complacent about that.

I need to figure out a way to keep hitting that snooze button on these da... Wed, 10 Dec 2014 07:53:38 EST A week complete Yeah!!!

I completed a week of logging all of my food. There were two days that were not so pretty but I sucked it up and logged anyway!!

What says healthy about a meal of chex mix and ice cream (Saturday lunch).

The important thing right now is that I completed the week and am learning some things from it.

Here is to another successful week!!

521 521 521 521 521
Mon, 8 Dec 2014 08:04:33 EST Three days down- 29 to go I have successfully logged all of my food for 3 days now. Day 2 was a little over the mark calorie wise but not too bad. Yesterday was good.

I am proud that I can still focus enough to do this!! I really hope to see some results in the next week on the scale too!!

Thu, 4 Dec 2014 08:22:08 EST Success I successfully logged all of my food yesterday and stayed within my calorie range!!

Now for day 2.

This is definitely a challenge for me. I have gotten so lax about logging over the last couple of months and had some portion distortion going on for sure.

It takes time but also gives me some comfort for some reason

One down, 30 to go!!

Tue, 2 Dec 2014 08:47:58 EST logging streak day one Today I begin my month long logging streak.

I would like to maintain this month and with all of the temptations out there, I know that making sure I log daily will absolutely help me with this.

I want to log every taste, lick and meal no matter what.

Today is day one!!

521 249 521 249 Mon, 1 Dec 2014 07:59:21 EST A good day Tomorrow morning our town is having its first ever Community Fellowship breakfast. I brought the idea back from another community I used to work in that hosted one every year the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I felt such a sense of community that I wondered if we could start something similar here in my town.

Went to the various service clubs explaining the vision. Got 5 clubs to volunteer committee members, have been meeting for the last 6 months and tomorrow is the day!!
... Tue, 25 Nov 2014 18:53:55 EST Oh how I missed this support After entering my I am back blog the other day, I had some great comments and motivation. It certainly hits the spot.

This is what makes Spark people so wonderful!!

Thank you all for the boost of motivation.

I will get through this holiday season for sure!! Wed, 19 Nov 2014 08:51:52 EST Missed being here I went down a path where I did not want to be bothered anymore with tracking. I tried the weight watcher simply filling plan and while it was okay, my weight has not budged in the last couple of months.

It is time for me to get back to my tried and true method that has helped me over the last two years to lose about 100 lbs.

I am still in the 180's bouncing around between 184-188 up and down, up and down.

I am back and hope that this will inspire me to get... Sat, 15 Nov 2014 11:12:30 EST Another great day under my belt Another great day!!

Healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner choices. For dinner I made stuffed peppers where all of the ingredients except the rice came from the farm. Very delicious and even better, I have leftovers for lunch!!

I helped my Farmers son with homework last night. He had tons of it. I am really falling for the kid. Tue, 9 Sep 2014 08:15:01 EST Accountability Day 2 Another great day!!

I accomplished all of my goals for the day yesterday. Taught Sunday School. Ate 3 healthy meals, went on an hour long bike ride, walked the dogs 3 times for 1/2 hour each, went to watch cow pie bingo..... very interesting I must say..... and got plenty of sleep.

Today I am back to work. I am ready to get back into a routine although I will miss the carefree mode I have been in for the week.

Here is to another healthy happy day 2!! Mon, 8 Sep 2014 08:22:21 EST Vacation is OVER!! I gained 6 lbs this last week over vacation. While it is wonderful to spend time with friends and family, and I did get in my exercise, I was not very accountable to my food choices. I did make some good choices but I made way to many poor ones as well.

Reality check for me. I am at the high end of the 180's again instead of being stuck at the low end.

I know that I can do this if I put my mind to it. Not sure why it feels so freeing at times to just not pay atten... Sun, 7 Sep 2014 09:36:38 EST 1/2 way point I am 1/2 way through my vacation week. I celebrated the good choice I made even in the middle of party central over a 3 day period.

Yesterday I stuck to a healthy plan the entire day. I made all good choices and got my exercise in. I hope to do the same today.

I really want to get into the 170's within the next month. I am shooting for the 170's by sometime in October.

521 521 521 521 Wed, 3 Sep 2014 10:03:02 EST Vacation time I am not going to beat myself up anymore. I am going to be happy about the things that I did accomplish each day.

Yesterday I walked to my lunch appointment instead of taking the car.
Instead of lasagna I ordered a tomato/feta salad
I did have bread but had the waitress take the plate away after two pieces.
Went to a party last night and had only 2 light beers and water the rest of the night.
I chose salads over the other snacks for my meal.

This up... Sat, 30 Aug 2014 10:52:14 EST Angry at myself I do not understand why I am doing so well much of the day then make a not so healthy decision. Do I feel deserving? Am I having a pitty party of some sort> Whats bugging me?

Yesterday I had a very healthy breakfast then chose a greasy hamburger for lunch. It tasted soooo good. I must say though that the entire afternoon I was very sluggish and really felt the need for a nap. Then for dinner out with the Chamber ladies, I ordered a sweet potato and broccoli. Not to bad afte... Fri, 29 Aug 2014 08:54:10 EST Loaded question My health coach has asked me to really think about why it is so important to me to lose weight.

This is a hard one for me. 100 lbs ago it was more obvious. I was achy, couldn't work out without being winded, had to buy clothes in the women's section of the store.....

Now all of this has changed. I can work out fairly comfortably, I can buy clothes in the regular ladies section. What are my motivations?

I think these are some:

Get off of all of ... Here is her new prescription for me over the next 2 weeks.

DO NOT COUNT CALORIES!!! ( What I say??? This is something I am so used to doing) She explained that instead she wants me to only focus on three things. How many carbs, fat and protein I am getting daily. Wed, 13 Aug 2014 08:11:20 EST Consistency I have been whining for a week about how I finally saw the 170's then went back up a few lbs.

The fact of the matter is that I have NOT been consistent with my new healthy habits. I have not been logging as faithfully as I should, I have given in to the demon of salted carmel ice cream, beer and other foods of summer that can sabotage my progress. Not that I believe in cutting these out completely but I could be more mindful of how much I am eating and tracking it like I shoul... Tue, 29 Jul 2014 07:48:54 EST An off week So I caught a glimpse of the 170's last week. I am back up to the low 180's again but intend to see those 170's again soon. Since Friday I have been off track. It is time to get back on the band wagon for sure.

Goals today- Going out for breakfast so will be picky on how it is prepared.

Since breakfast is not until 10 I plan to have this as brunch and just a snack before dinner.

I will bake a healthy dinner, drink lots of water, take a two mile walk this mo... Sun, 27 Jul 2014 08:10:51 EST 2nd week I am into my 2nd week of working with my exercise coach.

Yesterday I did the intermittent fasting again and will do it again today. Last week I did not really feel hungry in the evening and it was not too bad. Yesterday, I ate lunch at 11:40 then did not eat again until 6 this morning. Last night was rougher. I think I need to remember to bring a snack to eat right before 2 p.m. That may make me feel better in the p.m.

I have taken 2 bike rides of more than 5 miles ... Tue, 22 Jul 2014 07:25:09 EST Week one with the health coach Okay. First week is complete.

Here is what I have accomplished this week.

Exercised for a minimum of 1 hour each day (intentional exercise) This is important for me. I put away my fit bit for now. I love my fit bit but I do think it gives me a false sense of do each day. I need to really focus on the intentional exercise for now and log it the old fashioned way.

Rode my bike a little more than 6 miles. I determined to do this at least one time each week.... Thu, 17 Jul 2014 07:48:55 EST New goals I have now met with a health coach.

She will meet with me two times each month in person for 1 hour or so and call and e-mail to check in and encourage me throughout the rest of the month.

She will have access to my food journal to be able to make recommendations.

Although it is a bit expensive I feel this may be the accountability I need to get to my next goal of 170 by the fall and 165 by the end on the year.

I must say that she was pretty impress... Fri, 4 Jul 2014 09:54:14 EST Time to get back in the groove I am not sure why I do not feel as motivated as I have in the past but the things that used to excite me are no longer working. I met with and filled out a survey with a health coach the other day. I want to see how much the cost will be but maybe that one on one attention will get me motivated again. I am hovering around 182-185 and not gaining but also not loosing.

I really want to get into the 170's by the fall so hope this will help!!

Mon, 30 Jun 2014 07:46:43 EST What a wonderful start to the weekend!! Friday night the bank I worked for sponsored an event called moonlight and music for Pioneer Center, a local center who help give jobs and life skills to the developmentally disabled adults in our county and countless other services. Sun, 22 Jun 2014 08:59:54 EST Such a great feeling Yesterday I was very nervous. I was attending a graduation with my ex and the extended family. Fri, 6 Jun 2014 07:48:24 EST Sabotage I keep setting daily goals then follow some but not all of them. I am not sure what is going on that I am struggling a bit. I try to sit quietly and listen to my feelings and do not know what it is that I am not doing the things seriously enough that I know work for me.

Example: In meetings all day yesterday. Grabbed a muffin and a cookie. I knew I should not have them but did. Then I had planned to make acorn squash for my dinner. My farmer called and invited me out to dinn... Had my strength training class.

This morning I got on my exercise bike and peddled for 5 minutes before taking the dogs out for a walk. Fri, 2 May 2014 07:55:18 EST First 5k of the season Walk/jogged my first 5k of the season yesterday. Wow am I out of shape for these. I thought I would be fine since I walk the dogs everyday and walk longer distances already. Very different than walking the dogs for sure. It was chilly/breezy and we walked/jogged against the wind which made it a tad harder I think. Felt so good to accomplish it though. I have two more coming up for the next two weekends then I think it settles into 1 each month except August where I will participate in m... Mon, 28 Apr 2014 07:15:54 EST Fun Exercise!!
