I need to stop the excuses and stop letting others influence me.

Need to get my head in the right place, find out why I keep sabataging myself. I've done this before and lost 65 lbs, I can do this again.

Going back to the gym after work today. Need all the motivation, support and pushing I can get. Looking for a workout partner, that will definitely help.

Tue, 21 Jan 2014 08:51:57 EST Day 2 of summer vacation Ok, promised I'd let you know how I survived after yesterday's 6 mile walk.

Slept real well last night, no surprise there. I was expecting to be real sore when I got up this morning, but truthfuly it wasn't to bad. My feet, rather the inside ankle area is sore, probably because I wore my old tennis shoes which needed replacing. I did buy new shoes the other day, but haven't broken them in yet.

My calves and butt are sore, but not to bad. I actually got out and di... Sat, 23 Jul 2011 22:26:17 EST Summer Vacation starts with a BANG!!! Ok, so today was the first day of my summer vacation from the school I work at. 6 glorious weeks away from the stress and worries of being at a new school site.

I was so ready for it, I made my list of things I want to do during vacation. You know the usual things, get things done in the apartment, get together with friends, spend time with the grandkids. Read, work on my crafts and try to get my biological clock switched around for the early morning shift I'm now on.

... Fri, 22 Jul 2011 23:19:36 EST Ever Have one of THOSE days? Had any extra day off today. It was a furlough day, another day without pay, but the weather was great and I am finally feeling better. The cold is finally loosening up and only used 1/4 of a box of kleenex today.

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing goes as planned, everything goes wrong and you think you just should have stayed in bed?

That was my day today! A simple trip to the produce store and the ATM turned out to take 3 hours. Thought I was going... Mon, 20 Jun 2011 21:11:47 EST Getting Ready for a New Adventure Here I am at 61, (62 next week) and starting on a new adventure. After 34 years at the same school these are my last few days there. Starting July 1st I will be working at a new school site. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

Exciting, because I will get to see how things are done at a different site, and happy I won't have to put up with the principal I currently a have. She is a liar, a manipulator and very egotistical. The last few months have been horrible, you are ... Sun, 19 Jun 2011 21:25:25 EST A Successful Week Finally, a successful week! Lost 4 pounds this week, thanks to being on Spring Break and being able to concentrate on taking care or ME!

I feel so much lighter both in body and spirit! What wonders having no stress makes. Now I just need to continue on this journey when I go back to work in 3 weeks.

I also started reading a new book called: "A Course in Weight Loss" I has to do with the spiritual and internal side of weight loss. It would be a good book for any... Sun, 10 Apr 2011 16:37:31 EST I Choose Me! I Choose Me! I am improving slowly but surely. Even with all the stress at work, I am working hard NOT to let it get to me. I have one and a half weeks before Spring Break, I just want to get through them without gaining any weight and without getting sick.

I never fails, working for the school district and with all the budget cuts, all of us are being asked to do the job of several people. We push ourselves, mostly for the students and the parents, we get exhausted, don't ta... Wed, 23 Mar 2011 21:45:08 EST Stress level is rising! My stess level is rising! Beginning to have a hard time getting up in the morning. And it's not because I'm tired either. Every day seems to get worse at work. I have to say I'm trying to keep my cool and bide my time at that site. I should know by mid April where I will be next year.

It is so heartbreaking, I have been at the same school site for a total of 32 years (that includes my volunteer days, time as an hourly worker and then to full time) and it has always been like... I gained 12 lbs. and am really frustate with myself. I guess the stress level was worse than I thought. Between work, and loosing a very good friend, I guess that's what put me ... Thu, 6 Jan 2011 22:17:26 EST I'm Back! Today is the official first day of summer vacation! Hurrah! I can finally get back to taking care of me. The last few weeks at work have been crazy, had to move my classroom again. The second time in two years. All is moved in, but still need to go back and finish putting things away and doing bulletin boards. That will take at least 1 or 2 days. Need to get it done before the teachers get back, as I know they will have a ton of work for the parents to get done.

Went for a w... Mon, 26 Jul 2010 18:56:00 EST Day 1 Not bad today, managed to workout at the gym. Didn't get as many steps in at work, was short staffed and ended up sitting in the office almost all day. Had lunch at my desk. Not good. I'll be glad when this week is over, so I can get back to my regular routine at work.

Tue, 27 Apr 2010 00:20:20 EST
