MYBABYGIRLS's SparkPeople Blog MYBABYGIRLS's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Walking myself healthy! Today is day 3 of my new Leslie Sansone DVD. I love it! Since joining SparkPeople I have started exercising nearly everyday, cardio six to seven days a week (most weeks); strength training 6 days, alternating between upper & lower body. I've walked & rode my bike (after knocking the dust off of it) as much as I could, and I do zumba one to two days a week. Then I read another blog about using the Leslie Sansone DVDs and I've always considered it everytime I saw one, so I took the plunge.... Wed, 14 Nov 2012 17:32:07 EST One word-not so easy to do! Fri, 26 Oct 2012 12:00:06 EST Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Wow, what a turnout! Now I want to enter an actual race! I will go now to re-work my goals and go for something totally out of my comfort zone! 390 Sat, 20 Oct 2012 20:08:01 EST Weekend worries So far, things are good for this week, but they usually are at this time. It's the weekends I have to watch. I don't go way overboard, but I'm not as watchful of what I eat or I don't say no as often as I should. I need this to change, so any ideas would be welcome. I started this journey at 189 lbs, my heaviest ever except when I was pregnant, and that was a very long time ago! I got scared, as I did not want to get to that 200 mark (hard for me as I was always skinny when I was young, ... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 18:05:40 EST Day 63 I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I feel better, most days, and I am losing weight and learning to eat better, but I am not seeing the results yet, so I'm a little disappointed, to say the least. But, I am NOT giving up, I am moving forward. I have a mini-goal to do 60 minutes of exercise everyday this week, and I have been pretty good (not great) with my diet. I will not weigh in until Sunday, so we will see...!
Wed, 12 Sep 2012 21:09:16 EST Unfit No More! I was always the skinny girl (I have 4 sisters), never had a problem with weight, until menopause, and it crept up rather quickly without my noticing until I saw a picture of myself. (ugh!) I had already become a member of SparkPeople, but not done much, then I bought the book, "The Spark" and started reading it. Even though I tried just changing my lifestyle and bad habits in the past, nothing ever stayed with me for long. Now I know that is because I was trying to do it alone, & what ... Thu, 6 Sep 2012 15:18:25 EST We are all winners! My soon-to-be daughter-in-law is preparing for her first marathon. She had an "Aha" moment during one of her training runs, and when she got home she posted the following in her FB status. I have copied it here, with her permission, because I could never get this point across quite as powerfully as she has. I believe there is something in her words that can speak to all of us, whether we are preparing for a marathon or facing any other struggle in our lives. I am really proud to call her ... Sat, 1 Sep 2012 21:45:08 EST Starting to really like my new lifestyle! Since this is my first attempt at blogging, I'll just throw it out there! I am finally starting to really like my new lifestyle. I find myself really paying attention to the labels and what kinds of fats/calories I am consuming. When I do cheat, I make sure to log it in, and once I see how many calories and fat were in that particular food, usually all the bad fats and empty calories, it is easy to say I am not going to do that again! I am planning my daily lunches for work based on getti... Wed, 15 Aug 2012 21:07:07 EST
