MYAKAYAH's SparkPeople Blog MYAKAYAH's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Tuesday! I did my hair today, a little shopping, had 223 LCW minutes which is intentional exercise! I picked up more Chai since I go through a smaller can faster than I wanted lol. Its cold here and it should be cold for Thanksgiving Thursday apparently!

I'm a little tired today so I am wrapping this up, I did well with points today though which was nice because some days you just struggle with getting a f... Fri, 20 Nov 2015 01:54:18 EST Its still Wednesday what can I say today? I've been reading a few blog entries today about being grateful for your life! I have to agree, staying in graciousness and positivity is the greatest gift you can give yourself at any time! What is the good in staying bogged down in being negative. It helps nothing to stay that way longer than a brief spell. (I had to add that because even with my positivity I have moments of feeling a little bit depressed about the state of things in the world.)

I have been happy to be here in NY... Thu, 19 Nov 2015 01:46:40 EST Crossposted from Inner Journey! Writing-I wrote 5 journal pages today and have averaged 4 over the past few days. I think its good to let out fear, anger, sadness, cruelty, madness and other negative feelings on paper but it is just as important to let out the good stuff! I have been working on my NaNoWriMo and I am 41K words in now. My work on this is going well and I think I will have a good first draft of my story. I have been mainly having chai or peach teas, not much coffee while I am writing and no snacks. In my journ... Sat, 14 Nov 2015 23:45:49 EST NY City is a blast of a time! First off I want to say I know what has happened in Paris, so heartbreaking on many levels. I immediately called my SO to let them know I was fine and will pay close attention while I am out and about this weekend. Really, you just don't know what may happen wherever you are so you do the best you can manage in life! When terrorist attacks happen I don't believe in saying it doesn't affect me since I am not there, it affects every human on the planet. There are people who want to disrupt othe... I wanted to write a blog entry yesterday but I slept instead since I needed a long nap. I am awake at 4am here. I'll eat breakfast round 630am and I just did a half hour of yoga and used my resistance bands for some of it along to a video. I should be more adjusted to the time after tonight because I will keep active and busy today so I will be turned properly in terms of the time. Sun, 8 Nov 2015 02:28:57 EST Friday! Bought Chai today, I decided on going to the International Marketplace and found a red chai they let me try in the store, how very nice personal service is! I liked it very much and it was a little bit more for tea than I usually spend but I figured why not? I am very frugal 99% of the time and Paolo said you need to drink more hot beverages so get it. I DID! I bought loose tea in a bulk bag. I also bought a few teas to give as Christmas gifts for my friends who live round the country. I send... Fri, 6 Nov 2015 22:11:09 EST Thursday~ I was watching the Bengals and Browns game, I got bored so I came up here to write a blog entry! It is cold still of course so I put on my robe so much better. I was flipping through the channels and I wish Hallmark channel would not play all Christmas movies starting at the beginning of November lol! I caught 2 episodes of Starsky & Hutch I had never seen before last night when I was having breakfast. I had to take a bit of a long break because my neck was a little sore from doing so much wo... Thu, 5 Nov 2015 23:47:25 EST Just a shorty tonight! It was cold, rainy and windy today. I don't know how my cat stands it outdoors but he does at night. I check on him more frequently than I normally would. He sleeps on blankets during the day on my bed. (With me usually because I am the only one sleeping in the day most of the time.) It is supposed to be in the 40's for the week so it will stay cold likely.

My 3 TnT's for the week involve a Resistance Band video, a Pilates video and a Body Blade workout so I am set in those areas. ... I cannot walk outdoors like this. I understand though it happens every year at the end of October through somewhere near Thanksgiving, just have to deal with it until its over. I had soup for breakfast because it was the best thing to have. No coffee just tea today I do believe. I have a treadmill and walking videos so there is that to fall back upon.
<B... All of life is a process of recovery that never ends. We each must find ways to accept and move through the pain and to pick ourselves back up. Tue, 27 Oct 2015 18:26:13 EST On Forgiveness! Other stuff~ Whatever you do — don't wait to forgive someone until they apologize, ask for your forgiveness or even acknowledge they have harmed you. If you are waiting for someone to acknowledge they hurt you, you could be waiting forever and it puts them in the power position, where you need something from them in order to move forward in your life. Closure is an act of sanity you bring to the table of your own healing, it is not a handout your abuser holds over you that you need. You have the power wit... Mon, 19 Oct 2015 01:18:36 EST So, which zodiac sign are you most compatible with? Cancer (This would be me)

Cancerians can seem very complex and hard to get to know, but underneath their hard shell, they have a whole world living inside them. The Cancer zodiac sign has a very deep, emotional nature, but they also are some of the most creative, imaginative people you will ever meet. They have a motherly, loving energy about them, and care deeply for their friends and family. They are very loyal, and require a partner who will not betray them, and who will also be... Sun, 18 Oct 2015 11:04:09 EST Only time for a shorty tonight! I have decided to follow FitBit's lead and count my exercise Monday-Sundays! So my rest days this past week was Wednesday and Saturday in terms of walking. I just came in from dance class and I did no walking today as exercise, just as steps. Probably a good idea on dance days! I am thinking of spreading the walking to 4 days instead of 5, my schedule is going to be a bit more crazy through the end of the year so I think it will work better for me. I'll try it over the next few weeks and see ... Sun, 18 Oct 2015 01:49:36 EST Friday its raining~ It actually rains here in October go figure! It rained yesterday and today and tomorrow there is likely to be more.

I went out walking and made over 10K steps so since it was sprinkling I came back inside. Tonight I went walking after my Dad and I came back from dinner! I already had round 9000 steps from earlier so I went for an hour and now I have 17,311 steps and I am not going to try to make 20K today. Almost 40K steps in 2 days can be a little draining when you are up to other things but its fine. I took Sunday as a rest day and either Wednesday or Thursday I will have another.
