I borrowed my brother's DVD's today and will start tomorrow. I have started the diet today, and so far so good! I have decided to do P90X again because over the past year and a half, I have gotten completely out of shape. I gained about 20 pounds (or so) and lost a good amount of muscle. I'm not nearly as strong and lean as I used to be, and no matter how I try, I can't get back there. I worked out and ate clean for AT LEAST a complete month, and NOTH... Sun, 3 Apr 2011 19:16:33 EST I broke down and stepped up on the scale http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3960466 I haven't weighed myself in years. I KNEW I gained too much weight when my clothes stopped fitting me, and I had to buy new ones. I didn't get rid of my entire wardrobe; everything is packed and in storage right now.

I vowed I would not get on the scale because the number just didn't matter. My goal was to get back into my clothes in storage. Well, today I was getting ready to ship a package and in order to estimate the cost, I needed to know how much it weighed. I only have a digi... Tue, 25 Jan 2011 18:42:18 EST As Seen on TV.....Pasta Boat http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3938700 I bought the As Seen on TV Pasta Boat and so far have cooked sweet potatoes and pasta with it. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this! I'm not one to go buying a bunch of As Seen on TV stuff....but this I wanted, and I'm glad I bought it!!

Tue, 18 Jan 2011 21:00:36 EST Coffee Drinkers? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3933938 So I love my morning coffee and drink it every day. Occassionally I enjoy some afternoon or evening coffee but not very often.

Lately, I have noticed that when I drink my coffee, it really sucks the water right out of me. I feel the dehydrating effects.

Does anybody else notice this too??? Mon, 17 Jan 2011 14:56:52 EST Cheating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3929033 I've been following this clean eating diet fairly well since January 1st. Recently though, I have been cheating a little bit. While eating clean isn't that difficult, I think jumping into it full force after eating pretty much whatever I wanted is just downright hard. I think by cheating a little I am actually saving my sanity. In addition, it's not like I'm sitting on my arse doing nothing. I go to the gym nearly every day, and when I'm there I really kick it into high gear. I've been runn... Sat, 15 Jan 2011 23:33:59 EST Long Run http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3906263 Good Morning! So, I have been doing this Hal Higdon's half marathon training program for the past 5 weeks. I can't believe it's already been 5 weeks! Today is my long run day, and I have to run 8 miles. It's pretty cold outside, but I know if I run on the treadmill I'm going to get way overheated and pay too much attention to time and distance. On one hand I'm not looking forward to running outside only because I've never been a fan of cold weather (yet I live in Chicago)...I must be crazy. ... Sun, 9 Jan 2011 11:39:25 EST Eating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3901517 I have been eating "Clean" for the last 7 days. I feel pretty good!! I have also been making more recipes from SparkRecipes. There are some really great clean eating recipes. Check it out. It's much easier than I thought it would be!! The clean eating banana bread is great. Fri, 7 Jan 2011 19:39:42 EST It's all worthwhile when you SEE progress. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3899035 I was at the gym yesterday running my 7 x 400/5K pace - that's 1/4 mile 7 times at a 5 k pace - my schedule for my half training. Anyway, afterward, I walked into this little room at the gym noone was using. It had a couple punching bags, weights, medicine balls, etc. Two walls were covered with mirrors. As I did some situps, I looked over and there it was. The definition that had said goodbye to me last year had come back! WOO HOO!!! Of course, she's standing in the doorway - not quite all t... Fri, 7 Jan 2011 01:02:17 EST NEED to stay motivated. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3887826 So, I worked out Monday. I ran 7 miles on the treadmill as part of my 1/2 marathon training. Unfortunately, I didn't protect myself enough and the inner thighs took a beating. The chafing was so painful. When I got off the treadmill, I could see where the skin was irritated and slightly swollen. At any rate, I took yesterday off, which is OK since it wasn't a running day anyway. I was supposed to lift weights only, but I did that Sunday after my 7 miler so I had a free pass for the day.
... Tue, 4 Jan 2011 09:58:20 EST My New Year's Resolution..Just in time for my 40th! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3877343 I resolve to eat clean, work out regularly, finish my half marathon, lose about 20 pounds of FAT, and feel GREAT! (Oh yeah, and get a job!)

Since i will be turning 40 in late February, this New Years resolution is more about getting to where I want to be by then. All my life, people have told me I look younger than I am. Lately when someone asks me how old I am, they have no problems believing me. Ugh. I think that's what's making turning 40 SO HARD for me. I resolve to get back to... Sat, 1 Jan 2011 15:20:49 EST Glad Christmas is OVER! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3862751 Over the last 3 weeks, I have been very dedicated in my physical training for the 1/2 marathon ( March 6) and have been "better" with my diet. I have been religiously following my training schedule and not stuffing myself with whatever I want. However, over the last few DAYS I just let loose and decided to enjoy Christmas. I made the decision that immediately following Christmas (starting at midnight), I was really going to start eating clean. Well, as a result I certainly went into those da... Sun, 26 Dec 2010 11:13:42 EST New Me http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1145338 I finally feel like I'm in a routine. What a great feeling! I'm now starting to work on bettering my diet. I feel so strong and have made so many accomplishments. I also feel like my memory is better than it used to be...could it be the working out??? Tue, 15 Apr 2008 21:26:09 EST Bad Weekend Might Just Help! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=897696 Friday night, as a result of stupidity, I ended up in the ER. I tried Colonix and couldn't stop - it was coming out of both ends. As a result, any dinner I'd consumed had been purged, so I took those calories away in my nutrition profile. I got home at 5:15 a.m. Saturday morning and OBVIOUSLY was not in the mood for eating. I had a horrible hospital stay and felt like dirt. SO I stayed in bed ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT- only getting up to get some gatorade, make a small bowl of soup (by the evenin... Sun, 6 Jan 2008 14:57:46 EST
