I was hoping for a lose as everyone does and instead it came back and told me I gained ~ .4 to be exact! Well most people would say .4 but that isn't even a pound. I realize that but I only needed point .4 to hit my next goal. So instead of getting discouraged I cleaned the house a bit, put away clothes (which everyone on the 100+First Steps Club knows I do not like to do) and then put in one of my many WATP dvd's and pushed myself to complete ... We had a bump in the road around the middle of the month. I went out with a friend for her birthday and ended up drinking my calories. A friend of Heather's invited her to go with them for the weekend for her birthday. She ended up eating the foods that we haven't had since we started our healthy eating. We both gained about 4 lbs. So far it has had it's ups and downs. Mostly ups. We started out doing the 7 day Kickstart from the Carb Lovers Diet and drinking any where's from 8 to 12 glasses of water per day. We both lost quite a bit of weight. It's hard to follow a diet like this with being on a budget and some of the food I have never even heard of. Sat, 6 Aug 2011 14:44:25 EST Trying it again It's Biggest Loser Season again and after being out of the picture for a long time I am back! I began my new journey on Sept15. I cut out bread and my Frappe's. That was hard! I have been eating lots of salads and drinking hot tea or water. I was happily surprised when I got on the scale this morning and went from 242.6 to 236.2 a total of 6.4 lbs lost this week. This with no exercise. We started out at Bear Canyon but it was a wee bit to muddy so then after driving around looking at the pricey houses on Triple Tree dr we ended up at Sourdough Canyon trail. It was perfect. Wasn't muddy at all and the weather was just right. It will be another trail to take and try to get farther on it before we have to turn around a come back. I LOVE HIKING! <BR> ... It was really peaceful. They have benches sitting along the trail. We sat next to the river and just soaked it in while we did our discipleship. That is the only way to have discipleship. Not as beautiful as South Cottonwood. I could have walked that trail for ever. This one I kept wondering if we were there yet. I had talked to a couple ladies on the SC trail and they had told me about DHM. They told me it was really beautiful too. Well that sounded good. I was so looking forward to getting on the scale this morning and seeing it change. Instead I get up and nothing! Still the same as it has been for the last 3 days. Although I did get a surprise that explained why things haven't changed. Mr TOM showed up. I was not expecting him for another couple days. Wow! What an absolutely beautiful trail. We didn't quite get to the end (before it turns into another trail) before we had to turn around so I could get to work on time. Gonna try that one again before snow flies and get to the end of the trail. <BR> I entered the 90 minutes in and couldn't believe how many calories you burn by hiking! I was actually surprised that I was able to do some this morning. I could not even do them for a full minute let alone 3 minutes. Didn't hear anything from them until one of the friends moms called around 10:30 to let us know they had called them to come pick them up because they had car trouble. I got back early from Bible study <BR> so I drove home and walked to work. Walked over to the gym after work and did 30 min on the elliptical on level 7/random. I wore my pedometer when I walked to work and found out that to work, gym, and home I walked over 2 miles. Today I got motivated and did a mile before eating breakfast and then another mile before I had a snack. It was such a beautiful day that I decided to walk to work. I did sneak about 6 popcorn shrimps and 2 slices of oranges while I was there. After work I walked over to the gym and did the elliptical for 35 min on level 5 uphill. When I wasn't walking and doing crunches I was moving on the ball. Did a few arm exercises too. I will have to do that next week too.
