When I am on a plateau its so hard to not just "hang it up" and go out and eat those pancakes at IHOP. The only thing that kept me from quitting was my daily Sparkpeople visit and reading blogs from others who are going through the same challenge.

Then last week like magic the scale started moving down again and I lost 3 whole pounds! WOW....that makes 15 pounds lost now and I'm pumped! Forget those ma... Mon, 3 Aug 2009 11:07:28 EST Grand kids coming, how will I keep from slipping??? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2214092 I feel stressed already wondering what we are going to feed the family when they are visiting the next 2 weeks. It didn't help that my husband brought home a pizza tonight and I had already eaten a chicken salad sandwich for lunch. To my surprise I only ate one large slice of pizza and left the table before grabbing another slice.

The food tracker went bonkers tonight when I added up the damage so its a good thing I walked 4 miles this morning. I usually walk every other da... Wed, 8 Jul 2009 22:50:55 EST Forcing yourself to eat foods you don't like because they're healthy, great question! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2140722 Your memories of your mom forcing you to eat meat sounds so familiar except for me it was vegetables. I can still remember mom and dad not letting me leave the table until I ate all my vegetables and looking at those cold peas..yuk! I swore as a kid when I grew up I would never eat vegetables again. Of course I do eat them now but prefer them in a wrap or salad rather than cooked...for obvious reasons. 39 Toni Wed, 10 Jun 2009 19:04:08 EST My own worst enemy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2120807 Ok, here I am being so diligent on this needed weight loss journey and things are going great. I'm thinking wow...I'm superwoman walking 4 brisk miles every other day at the age of 65. The food tracker is keeping me in line eating wise and the scale is cooperating finally to where I have lost 9 whole pounds! That's almost 10 pounds!!

My goal is to lose 50 so ok that means only about 40 to go. Life is good and I'm on a roll! So why did I buy a box of Skinny Cow ice cream c... Wed, 3 Jun 2009 19:44:33 EST My Mother's Day Gift. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2054387 As usual my loving family made sure I was duly spoiled on Mother's day but this year I requested a pedomiter instead of candy and flowers. Well, I did get flowers anyway (thankfully) but no candy or sweets this year thank you!

I finally am back to the original 5 pounds lost which yo yo-d back and forth due to two vacations recently where I gained 3 of the 5 back. Thanks to the support of so many of you on SP, I didn't get discouraged this time.

I haven't been able to... Mon, 11 May 2009 23:54:14 EST I slipped but I'm back! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1990464 I hope you all had a blessed Easter. Ours was wonderful getting to spend it with friends and family in Texas which was a nice drive from the Florida Panhandle. It was a back slide in my weight loss journey though by 3 pounds..enjoying too many of those wonderful Texas restaurants....And those quick stop gas stations during the 9 hour drive is no place to go for low fat/sugar free food! Oh well, I'm home and back at the gym and have lost two of the 3 pounds I gained on vacation. So its (t... Mon, 20 Apr 2009 18:22:42 EST
