I definitely felt like my legs were tree trunks for a couple of the moves but I just did the best I could and kept moving. <BR> <BR> Tomorrow is a super busy day and I'm not sure where I am going to fit in my Insanity but I am determined to keep going so I will find a way. Today I tried the Day 1 Insanity workout. It has been a loooong time since I did cardio to that extent and it was only the first day, I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring. I have had a few lapses since I started starting over but I am back on track and working on "mindful eating" and making a conscious decision about the food I am putting in my body. As I type it is taking all I have not to run over to the counter a few feet from desk at work and grab a handful of caramel corn. Instead, I will get my fix from some crunchy celery dipped in a sweet FF raspberry viniagrette. Hope that does the trick! My hubby and daughter put it together for me the other day and I love, love, love it! My friend invited my husband and I out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and I planned ahead, picked out the sensible menu item by looking at the menu online, but when we got there....BAM...out the window. First I had the white roll with cinnamon butter, oh so delicious. Then my friend ordered loaded fries and of course I had to try a couple of those. Healthy salad. The planned sirloin kabob... But I guess that's good since I cheated with pizza and wings the other night followed yesterday by a trip to the chinese buffet (again I skipped all fried dishes). <BR> <BR> I bought myself a new pedometer yesterday so I can keep track of my steps and hopefully stay motivated to keep moving. <BR> <BR> Bright and sunny here today (even if it is still 25 degrees) so I may bundle up and take a walk outside. I made stir fry with brown rice last night and the kids loved it, they enjoy the steel cut oats and there hasn't been soda in the house for weeks. <BR> <BR> I have my second weigh-in for the Biggest Loser at work on Friday, hoping I didn't gain because it will cost me a dollar (and quite possibly my sanity). <BR> <BR> Any hoo....have a good night! I reached a low point today but I think I am going to make it. I work at a hotel that provides valet parking, as I was assisting the bellstand I noticed a Snickers bar in the side door pocket of a guest's was open...there was a fleeting moment where I thought I could just snag a chunk and no one would know. Gross! Anyway, the need was sparked...I had to have chocolate. Luckily for me I had a very good day and was still under all my nutritional goals and even luckier that my co-worker... I'm back on track with the food tracking and going for the first "Biggest Loser" weigh in at work today. Goal for the upcoming week...get under the 150 mark (even if it is 149.5). Fri, 22 Jan 2010 13:07:21 EST Feels like I'm slipping I have had a hectic week and haven't had much time for food tracking so unfortunately I feel like I have cheated a little on my diet. It's much easier to sneak a bite of something if you aren't going to track it. I definitely haven't been diligent about my water intake either. I just checked out mobile Spark People on my phone and there is no excuse to skip my food tracking anymore! I had a great weigh in today and although I know it's all water weight, I feel like I'm on the right track. I did have a moment of weakness this evening where I had one of those "oh my god, I need something to shove in my mouth right now. salty and sweet and let me wash it down with bubbles!" . Sun, 17 Jan 2010 23:51:11 EST Chinese Food? So I am meeting up with some friends tonight and they chose a chinese buffet for dinner (kid friendly) and I'm a little scared. I'm scared because I'm only a week into this challenge I've taken on and because tomorrow is my first weekly weigh in. I have set goals of not eating anything deep fried which should help the fat intake and to only visit the line once. Wish me luck!
