Tue, 1 May 2012 12:14:49 EST Weekly Weigh-In I weighed myself this morning, a day ahead of schedule, because I noticed that my jeans fit differently and I was curious. My weight this morning was 184.5. that's a loss of 3.1 pounds since last week. <BR> <BR> My short term goal is 180, and my end result goal is 150. Sun, 15 Apr 2012 18:47:54 EST Blood pressure and pulse This morning about 15 minutes after I finished breakfast I felt my blood pressure and pulse rise. I checked both and BP was 178/91 and my heart rate was 104. That is VERY abnormal for me. My blood pressure runs around 140/82 and my resting heart rate is between 70 and 80. Not great number, I know, but far from what I got this morning. <BR> <BR> Breakfast was 3 oz shredded chicken, 3 eggs and 1/2 cup cottage cheese. Thu, 12 Apr 2012 12:13:58 EST A Slight Bump in the Road I had to take my husband to meet his ride to the the airport at 330 this morning for a business trip. Within 15 minutes of my feet hitting the floor I was hungry. My body has gotten used to eating within 30 minutes of waking. So I took a cooked chicken breast with me ( I had put a whole chicken in the crock-pot the night before) I ate that while my husband drove to the meeting point. Wed, 11 Apr 2012 14:04:57 EST Body Changes Yesterday I noticed something interesting. <BR> <BR> Ever since my youngest child (now 6 years old) was born I have had fluid filled bumps about the size of softballs at the outside of each hip. Some days those bumps were smaller than others - I figured out that it depended on what I ate the day before, but could never really nail it down. <BR> <BR> Yesterday I noticed that the bump on my left hip was gone. It's flat there, like it's supposed to be. The bump on my right hip is almost gone... I deal with a lot of internal inflammation. For the past several years I have experienced what I call "panic attacks" several times a week. These are not the typical attacks of paralyzing fear that are associated with the term panic attack. These are when I can feel the release of a large amount of adrenaline. My heart starts to race and I get shaky - Like I've had a really bad scare. I am obviously losing weight, and the distribution of my weight is changing even though it's only been 2 weeks. I am wearing jeans that I have not been able to wear in over a year. But how? I am quite honestly eating close to double the calories I did before. I have always been a grazer and I graze mostly on veggies. I had a FBG of 103 a few days ago, but I ate half an apple with sunflower seed butter with dinner. I did not go over my carb count, but it seems to have impacted my FBG anyway. I'm not finding this reset diet difficult at all, I'm not usually hungry at lunchtime, and don't even think about food until about 4 pm. For dinner I had a salad with 2 cups romaine lettuce, about 1 cup red cabbage, 2 hard boiled eggs, and about 1/4 cup diced carrots, with that I ate 1/2 cup each cooked broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. Yesterday my fasting blood sugar was 111, and my blood sugar 4 hours after eating dinner was 179. <BR> <BR> This morning my fasting blood sugar was 100 (which is much better, but still1 point higher than is considered normal range).
