It's been about 5 weeks since I stared the Reset. Tue, 1 May 2012 12:14:49 EST Weekly Weigh-In http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4836448 I weighed myself this morning, a day ahead of schedule, because I noticed that my jeans fit differently and I was curious. My weight this morning was 184.5. that's a loss of 3.1 pounds since last week.

My short term goal is 180, and my end result goal is 150. Sun, 15 Apr 2012 18:47:54 EST Blood pressure and pulse http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4831853 This morning about 15 minutes after I finished breakfast I felt my blood pressure and pulse rise. I checked both and BP was 178/91 and my heart rate was 104. That is VERY abnormal for me. My blood pressure runs around 140/82 and my resting heart rate is between 70 and 80. Not great number, I know, but far from what I got this morning.

Breakfast was 3 oz shredded chicken, 3 eggs and 1/2 cup cottage cheese. I'm wondering if it was a reaction to the cottage cheese. This is pretty muc... Thu, 12 Apr 2012 12:13:58 EST A Slight Bump in the Road http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4830436 I had to take my husband to meet his ride to the the airport at 330 this morning for a business trip. Within 15 minutes of my feet hitting the floor I was hungry. My body has gotten used to eating within 30 minutes of waking. So I took a cooked chicken breast with me ( I had put a whole chicken in the crock-pot the night before) I ate that while my husband drove to the meeting point. I came home and took a nap on the couch. All told, I was gone about 2 hours.

Since I had breakfas... Wed, 11 Apr 2012 14:04:57 EST Body Changes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4828622 Yesterday I noticed something interesting.

Ever since my youngest child (now 6 years old) was born I have had fluid filled bumps about the size of softballs at the outside of each hip. Some days those bumps were smaller than others - I figured out that it depended on what I ate the day before, but could never really nail it down.

Yesterday I noticed that the bump on my left hip was gone. It's flat there, like it's supposed to be. The bump on my right hip is almost gone... Tue, 10 Apr 2012 11:35:50 EST Weekly Weigh-in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4826719 I weighed myself this morning and the scale says I've lost .2 of a pound in the last week. I think the initial 4lb loss was probably water weight. I deal with a lot of internal inflammation. So much so that until last week I could wear a hair tie around my wrist for an hour and then take it off.
The indentation from that hair tie would be fairly deep and last up to 4 or 5 hours after I took the hair tie off. That's not happening now.

But.. I seriously can NOT wait for the Le... Mon, 9 Apr 2012 09:54:37 EST More positive changes and one confusing one. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4823374 For the past several years I have experienced what I call "panic attacks" several times a week. These are not the typical attacks of paralyzing fear that are associated with the term panic attack. These are when I can feel the release of a large amount of adrenaline. My heart starts to race and I get shaky - Like I've had a really bad scare. I've always assumed this was caused by my adrenals being overactive and out of balance. I have not had one of these attacks since I started the Leptin Re... Fri, 6 Apr 2012 13:17:27 EST Confused, but happy with the Reset http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4820327 This Leptin Reset confuses me. I am obviously losing weight, and the distribution of my weight is changing even though it's only been 2 weeks. I am wearing jeans that I have not been able to wear in over a year. But how? I am quite honestly eating close to double the calories I did before. I have always been a grazer and I graze mostly on veggies. On average, my total daily calories before I started the Reset ran between 500 and 900 per day.. every day. And yet I never lost a pound! I was ne... Wed, 4 Apr 2012 13:12:09 EST Leptin Reset - Day 11 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4816982 My blood sugar has remained stable, for the most part. I had a FBG of 103 a few days ago, but I ate half an apple with sunflower seed butter with dinner. I did not go over my carb count, but it seems to have impacted my FBG anyway. I'm not finding this reset diet difficult at all, I'm not usually hungry at lunchtime, and don't even think about food until about 4 pm. We eat dinner between 5 and 530, so it's working well for me.

I weighed myself again today.. 187.6 That's down 2lbs s... Mon, 2 Apr 2012 14:25:20 EST Day 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4807015 I accidentally went over on my carbs yesterday by about 2 grams. For dinner I had a salad with 2 cups romaine lettuce, about 1 cup red cabbage, 2 hard boiled eggs, and about 1/4 cup diced carrots, with that I ate 1/2 cup each cooked broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. I wanted fruit so I ate 1/2 of a small apple with 1 tablespoon homemade sunflower seed butter.. it's about half sunflowers seeds and half coconut oil.

My total for yesterday were Protein 92, Carbs 27 and Fat 29. I... Tue, 27 Mar 2012 10:12:50 EST Leptin Reset http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4805370 I've been reading about the Leptin Reset
jackkruse.com/my-leptin-prescription
/
on one of the health related email lists I'm on. I was impressed by the number of people on my list who have had positive results with the Leptin Reset, so I decided to try it myself.

I started the Reset on Saturday morning. So far it's been going well. I have not been hungry at all. I'm eating the prescribed 50 grams of protein for breakfast. Dr.Kruse says that if you eat enough ... Mon, 26 Mar 2012 10:53:06 EST Blood Sugar http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3332587 I've started taking my blood sugar regularly because my morning fasting levels are a bit high. Yesterday my fasting blood sugar was 111, and my blood sugar 4 hours after eating dinner was 179.

This morning my fasting blood sugar was 100 (which is much better, but still1 point higher than is considered normal range). One hour after breakfast blood sugar measured 105.

I'm learning that I need to be careful what I eat in relation to general health, and not just multiple s... Mon, 14 Jun 2010 10:50:06 EST Intro and Intention.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3327117 So..I'm hoping that if I use this blog to record my body's reactions to the foods I eat I'll be able to pin down the foods which are causing all this inflammation.

This morning, my weight was a full 3 lbs higher than my weight yesterday. I haven't had any unusual ms symptoms, just added 3 lbs over night. Sat, 12 Jun 2010 12:54:05 EST
