Time to get back on track. I know I have to plan my meals better, but today was just a lazy Saturday. Well, not too lazy...I did hit the gym twice. But I wanted to take the girls to the movies and it was sold out. Plan B, dinner at Smashburger. Deciding to order the harvest salad with grilled chicken was an easy decision. Usually I have sacrifice some of my work out time to take my children to their mentoring program on Saturday mornings. Since they were off, I was able to get some me time in. I did 2 Zumba classes and one Pilates class. I almost fell out by the time I was in my 3rd hour of working out, but I'm glad my endurance prevailed. Sun, 10 May 2015 10:49:39 EST Cleansing time I recently ran out of my Gaia Echinacea Supreme capsules and decided to check out a few more of their products. The brand is a little pricey, but I like that many of their products are organic and their website has a lot of infomration about how they are farmed and produced. I did choose to order from Amazon since the prices were more reasonable. So, I didn't even order the Echinacea...I ended up ordering the 12 day Supreme Cleanse which consists of a fiber drink in the morning and a liver ... Tue, 4 Feb 2014 14:39:24 EST I've got to do more! I just came back from my 6 month follow up visit for the pre-gestational diabetes and despite that I've been exercising pretty consistently, my A1C went up by .1 . I'm glad it didn't go up much more...but I was seriously expecting a decrease. I must admit that I have been tracking my exercise regularly for the most part, but not my food intake. I went for my semi-annual dr. visit today and was informed that I am pre-diabetic. I knew something was up because there would be times I would be just so sleepy after eating...I just didn't feel right. After narrowing it down, I found this to occur after eating foods high in carbs. So I did modidfy my diet by increasing whole grains, cutting out soda, and increasing veggies, decreasing alcohol intake and exercising a whole lot more. Not much below, but its significant enough for me because I don't want to go back up. Belly dance class was cancelled tonight and I arrived at the gym late because I had to help my daughter with her homework. I needed a fairly high intensity cardio workout to try and burn my targeted calories for the day. Rather than walk/jog on the treadmill I decided to tackle the elliptical machine for 25 minutes. Last night I did my belly dance class and then headed straight to the gym for 40 more minutes of cardio on the treadmill and then did some strength training. I wasn't too motivated to work out over the weekend, but I did get a lot of housework done. I ate breakfast daily and packed my lunch which really helped me stay on track with my calorie intake. Although I haven't been on here in a while, I've continued to do my bellydancing and engage in fitness fun on the Wii with my kids. Anyone who thinks that you can't burn calories by playing the Wii is sorely mistaken. I'm still acclimating to a new position with much more responsibility and also started a part time job to compensate for 10 mandatory furlough days. Sun, 11 Apr 2010 12:19:35 EST Setting manageable goals My enthusiasm for my Spark Teams hasn't decreased, but I find that trying to track every goal for each of my teams is very difficult. I've had to reset the tracker so many times because I committed to tracking too many things. So, I am back to bare bones...looking at my Fast Break Goals, tracking my mileage for the week and making sure I drink 8 glasses of water per day. I am still going to track my food intake...but now I won't feel so guilty if I don't for a few days. Well during my lunch time walk, I crossed over one bridge leading into Morrisville, PA and that bridge was about 1/1/2 miles down leading back into NJ. Back in October when I advanced to the Intermediate level belly dance class, I had the opportunity to order my first bra, belt, skirt costume. I've noticed that I am less hungry at lunch time since I've started eating breakfast on a regular basis.
