Okay, I soooo need some feedback from my friends here.
In about two months from now my parents are scheduling a "family reunion/get together" in Williamsburg.
Nothing big and my Dad has told me whatever works for us, whenever we can swing by is good. I woke up this morning, went downstairs and hid the eggs we colored yesterday for my son and suddenly had a massive allergy attack so now I sit here, Easter morning after all the egg hunting festivities have died down, waiting for the asparagus, leek and fontina cheese quiche gets done for breakfast and I feel massively tired, my sinuses are raw as can be, my sto... Sun, 8 Apr 2012 10:33:50 EST CHALLENGE? Not certain if I should take this seriously or not. What would you do?
Last night I complained to hubby. Well I've been complaining for the past few weeks actually.
Since I first made the change, applied myself to getting healthy, started seeing a therapist and what not I had lost 22 pounds. 22 FRIGGIN POUNDS! (and that's in 2 1/2 months by the way!)
Ever since hubby came home last month I have lost 2 pounds. That's 2 pounds in 4 weeks. Dismal.
I know part of it is s... Fri, 6 Apr 2012 13:03:13 EST Plateaus! GRRRR Okay, since my hubby has come back home from his school about a month ago I have been STUCK at 179.5-178. I cannot seem to make the scale budge!
Now all that being said, my clothes do fit better as of late, I have noticed slight muscle tone building in my arms, my stomach (while still flabby) seems a bit firmer, and my butt seems smaller (because my pants are a bit looser there too). But I cannot seem to actually LOSE any weight!
Now I read recently here on Sparkpeople that you ... Tue, 3 Apr 2012 09:35:22 EST Two Words.......ROAD TRIP! Every year we visit down there as we enjoy the area and most of all, we love Busch Gardens.
Wonderful thing about this place. The park is gorgeous, the music is lovely, the weather SHOULD BE lovely, the rides are great and I know (from the last time I visited) that my steps that I track with my GoWearFit will be around 14000.
Each time we visit this park I am so tired, so sore at th... When I responded that since our son is now in grade school that would be a whole HECK of a lot more difficult. Add onto that the airline tickets we've already purchased, the cruise itself, hotel reservations, etc etc. Well, yes, it IS doable but with great expense and since he wanted to move it EARLIER because his unit might or might not be dep... Wed, 7 Mar 2012 09:50:04 EST Chaotic Morning All I can say is GRRRRR. I sure hope this morning is not indicative of the rest of my day!
Woke up with hubby at 445, got my lunch together, packed my sons lunch, cleaned up the kitchen a bit, you know miscellaneous cr*p.
Then kissed hubby off to work and went upstairs, finished reading a book, just relaxed and prepared myself mentally for the day ahead.
Got my son fed by 725am, all the while mentally patting myself on the back for being so organized and doing so well on time... Tue, 6 Mar 2012 09:11:45 EST Day 100 The countdown begins to fun in the sun! Weight today is 183 thanks to the two pieces of pizza and cheesesticks last night that I splurged on.
No worries. I'll allow my little slip ups every so often. As long as I do as what is said in the movie "Meet the Robinsons".
KEEP MOVING FORWARD! Wed, 15 Feb 2012 13:05:25 EST Priorities I have decided that I will not be going to the gym tonight. The needs of the house trump the needs of my physical fitness.
Last weekend I was sick with a vicious cold that was passed to me by my wonderful son. That just about brought me to my knees that weekend which left me useless to anything other than keeping my son entertained.
There is spilled tomato sauce at the front door on the floor. The bathrooms are disgusting. The floors covered with crumbs, dust, cat hair, and ot... Tue, 14 Feb 2012 13:15:51 EST Busy days Quickie post tonight, thanks to the lateness of the day and all.
Did meditate last night but just for a measly 15 minutes. Went to the gym this morning with my son. Dropped my car off at the gym at the same time. The gym has a service where they can detail cars while you work out. NICE! It was well worth the $25 spent!

So, anyhoo, after dropping my car off, and signing the paperwork for the tanning I then raced as fast as I could to the Pilates studio where class was already... Sat, 4 Feb 2012 22:01:57 EST WORK IN PROGRESS Been gone a while I know. Haven’t exactly been “faithful” to SP now have I lately?
It’s okay, I’ve had other haunts that I visit daily.
Lately massive changes have taken place in my life. Personality changes. Life changes.
I’m seeing two therapists now each week. I see my doctor once a month.
Not going to really going into FULL detail but lets just say I should hang a sign around my neck stating “WORK IN PROGRESS” or possibly “PLEASE EXCUSE OUR MESS AS WE WORK TO MAK... Fri, 3 Feb 2012 15:54:13 EST Sleep~~~Need some. Veggie life continued.... OMG! I wish I could get at least 1 good night of sleep this week!
The past two nights I've slept horribly. Weird dreams that keep me up all night.
Monday night I had the toughest time falling asleep. I think I was still revved up from the gym. Tuesday night hubby and I got into a talk about our jobs which is FAR from a peaceful discussion. YES I hate my job. No, that's not accurate. I love my job. I like the customers. I like what I do.
I HATE the people I work wit... Wed, 16 Nov 2011 14:09:21 EST Major Venting going on I post this now somewhat because of frustration for myself but even more, for a coworker of mine.
Recently we had a "health and wellness" check at work. My coworker found out she is diabetic. Not pre-diabetic. DIABETIC. So she decided to do something about it. She went on a diabetic diet a few weeks ago and was doing so well. About a week into it my coworkers (almost ALL of them) hounded her NON stop that she must really STOP this crazy "diet".
So now, it's about 5 weeks la... Tue, 15 Nov 2011 11:59:45 EST 21 Day Kickstart Renamed Veggie Life Okay, I'm back. Had a somewhat okay weekend regarding diet but bad on gym time. I admit it. I was extremely lazy.
I had a three day weekend that was lovely and yet I barely got much done other than listing tons of useless stuff in our house on Craigslist. (Made about $115 this weekend! WOOHOO!)
I am going to the gym tonight though because, honestly I do best when I am not in the house to mindlessly snack or even worse, pour myself a glass (or two or three or FIVE) of wine. <... Mon, 14 Nov 2011 11:25:10 EST 21 Day KickStart Day 4 Okay I admit it. I've had some bad moments on this.
Really bad.
On the afternoon of Day 2 I got off work a bit early and had some time to kill before heading to my acupuncture appointment.
In a total moment of depression I caved and purchased a 20 oz coca cola, some fried pork skins and a bag of butter popcorn.
I drank the entire soda and ate almost everything.
Then yesterday, Day 3 I was feeling exhausted and almost felt like I was coming down with somethi... Thu, 10 Nov 2011 12:25:20 EST 21Day KickStart Day 2 So far so good. It's now 1152 am and I'm eating my lunch.

Today breakfast consisted of one veggie sausage and a large bowl of a cream of wheat, grape nuts combo. I couldn't even finish the dang thing. The veggie sausage was delicious! I almost wished I had brought two!

Snack this morning was about a cup and a half of air popped popcorn, a few wasabi peas, and about 5 raw almonds. I learned my lesson yesterday, do not RADICALLY cut out all fat. Especially the good... Tue, 8 Nov 2011 13:13:04 EST 21 Day Kick Start~Day 1 I've decided I'm going to track how I feel each day now that we've started the 21 Day Kick Start.

To those who don't know this is a vegan 21 day "diet" that supposedly people feel so great on that they feel they must continue so then it becomes a lifestyle.
Like any kind of thing I'm giving it a try but remaining skeptical. So I'm going to jot down my notes, feelings, any sort of bodily issues (which might be a bit TMI sometimes so that is my warning now!), etc.

H... Mon, 7 Nov 2011 10:37:42 EST New Blog up! Preparing our Autumn Garden

Wed, 28 Sep 2011 12:22:22 EST Getting my groove back Now I haven't gotten it yet but I'm working to get myself back to taking care of myself, eating healthy and exercising.
Hubby and I have noticed something though. Both him and I HATE working out and eating healthy during the summertime.
So now as we go into the Gorgeous Autumn months we're starting to get motivated again to get fit.
I think part of the issue of getting motivated again is during the summer we have so much to do. So much canning, preserving, drying, garden... Tue, 6 Sep 2011 10:50:57 EST Depression sucks It really does. Oddly enough, I have noticed, especially since moving from Alaska to Maryland that it's during summer time that I have a tough time. Between the heat (anything over 80 to me is hot) that keeps me indoors, the fact that I have to keep my blinds down, curtains drawn upstairs to keep it from becoming overwhelmingly hot, and I just can't enjoy being outside anymore. Well it all just drags me down. My eating habits deteriorate. Fitness is a joke(I actually tried to work out la... Mon, 25 Jul 2011 11:02:48 EST Learned something new Well kind of. NEVER EVER WORK OUT when I've been in the hot weather outside for more than 20 to 30 minutes.
Heat destroys any energy I might have had to devote to exercise. Truly.
I hate heat. Can't stand it, hence the reason why I loved Alaska so much. Doesn't really get REALLY hot except for maybe 1 to 2 weeks a year.
Give me low to mid 70's and I'm happy. Give me 60's and I want to start moving and get stuff done.
Give me 30's and I'm like a frisky puppy. <... Wed, 20 Jul 2011 12:38:55 EST Many times things happen for a reason Well for all that are following my family saga. First of all, Mom is still ticked off as ever. I've just made sure to ALWAYS call only when I think my Dad will be there.
Next I've made sure that when I'm helping my Dad sell their stuff to always talk to Dad when he's away from Mom. Mom last night hung up on me after telling me I didn't know what they were doing. GRRR

However that leads me into something else. My Dad has advised me that the doctor found something scary in h... Wed, 1 Jun 2011 12:02:10 EST Lesson Learned Do NOT call my Mom when my Dad may not be around. I'll get a vicious tongue lashing.
Today I made that mistake. I called my Mom and told her how jealous I'll be of them later when they're living in Oregon with 60 to 70 degree temperatures while I'm stuck here in Maryland with 80 degrees and 100%humidity.
Next thing I know she's viciously attacking my Dad verbally to me. Now the thing is I know the whole story already from my Dad. Of course, she doesn't know that and I'm not g... Thu, 26 May 2011 12:10:37 EST Explanations for Earthquakes Okay, so some might have seen my status Earthquakes, earthquakes and wondered what in the heck I was talking about.
Have you ever had times in your life where everything is in upheaval? Just when you have recovered from one blow, another one occurs.
Well that's my life.
Of course the Rapture didn't happen on the 21st of May, however I've had numerous shocks since then.
First and foremost, my supervisor called me on Sunday afternoon to advise me that my old coworker and... Tue, 24 May 2011 12:04:29 EST Okay I think someone is trying to tell me something I admit it. Over the past few months I completely fell off the wagon. I've been to the gym about 4 times in the past 3 months. My eating has been off and on.
I had completely forgotten any and ALL of my goals. Pretty sad. Still though, I'm not going to go on and on about it. It won't do any good to yell at myself over and over. That'll just make me feel even worse.
It's time to get moving again.
Oddly enough, last night we got a call that made me realize how far off ... Wed, 18 May 2011 09:05:01 EST
