The family did a bike ride, the first 1/2 mile was killing my legs and it was only a very slight incline. The next full mile was mostly slight decline, then it was back to incline. Everyone else was fine with it, I was panting and sore and sweaty and just wanted to give up. I made it two miles and was done, knowing I'd have to do two miles back to our car. I seem to disappoint t... Sat, 17 Aug 2013 22:16:54 EST bittersweet end to vacation....

Had an amazing time visiting Maryland and meeting our new niece, but too much eating and not enough tracking lead to a gain... hoping it's mostly sodium and that I'll get back on track....

Only 37 pounds to onederland and I'm pumped and ready to attack! Here's to a wonderful weekend, eating at home and being mindful of exactly what I'm eating throughout ever day! Fri, 16 Aug 2013 21:59:43 EST "If you want to hear God laugh..... tell him your plans" the story of my life lately. I'm weighing in daily but that's about it right now. I'm hoping to get on track but right now I just don't have my "head in the game" for a number of reasons BUT... the increased activity, water and freggies have been helping soooo... here's to being me and knowing that sometimes I CAN'T do it ALL.

so, I reached out today, and decided to set goals and revamp my page.... and well, here goes....

Gain Strength and Energy, focus on the positiv... Sat, 3 Aug 2013 10:29:21 EST road to recovery the road to recovery in this house seems to be FULL of potholes! I am soooo glad we had a "snow' day today. DS had the cold/cough and stomach bug, but seems to be getting over it. DD had the cold/cough and the stomach and thought she was clear but the stomach issues returned around 3am. DH & I have been doing ok but have been worn down by the normal day to day activities trying to keep ourselves and the rest of the house healthy. I'm hoping this is done and we can move on. I really want t... Mon, 28 Jan 2013 20:45:06 EST NUI-SAN-CE! Wow! Very busy weekend but managed OK. Didn't blog or log last night but I didn't make too many bad choices. It's really hard when we are on the run but thank goodness for some fun salads and ways to bump the veggies up! Yesterday was DD first basketball game, today was game #2 for her. She is playing an instructional league but there are some very talented girls on her team that control the game and have possession of the ball, playing more at a competitive level, scoring and fouling a ... Sun, 13 Jan 2013 20:28:01 EST Big Dreams... I'm taking it one day at a time but I'm sure I can make these dreams a reality in my time. Right now, focusing on increasing water and freggies. Once the congestion clears for a few days I will resume cardio. Right now as soon as I push it seems to come back, with a vengeance and I'm trying to stay healthy. I'm actually excited about getting back into the swing of things and dancing the weight away!!!! 185 Thu, 10 Jan 2013 21:56:17 EST amazing how quickly time flies..... DD turned 9 today, 1/9/2013. DS turned 11 on 1/1/2013. I am so surprised on how quickly they are growing up and how much they are maturing. Each day that goes by I am thankful for how they have changed me. I enjoy being their mom but I know that my weight is holding me back from being all I can be and from being the best mom for them. Each day I have to make positive choices to improve my health, for me, for them. 183 Wed, 9 Jan 2013 20:53:05 EST extra sleep = less meds = getting better day by day! This morning I got to sleep in and I'm very excited I haven't needed any meds so far. I have a plan of attack for today. I'm planning on freggin as much as I can and drinking lots of water/tea/coffee basically any liquids to finish flushing this out of my system. I have been counting up to my 8 but sure am exceeding 10 each day with this congestion. Excited Keith is playing basketball game today and that both kids got up early with Hubby and worked on studying for Religion/Math tests. I ... Sat, 5 Jan 2013 09:51:40 EST what are you looking for? so the homily today at daily mass (yes, I work for the Parish and find it difficult to make it to Mass and finally made it back to daily mass today after promising myself during Advent I needed to return to this ritual of balancing life) was about "what are you looking for?" and it just hit me right now... I was about to title this "magic wand" and ask where one is that could create more hours in a day but maybe I'm looking at it all wrong.. maybe I need to step back and simplify and regroup ... Fri, 4 Jan 2013 22:21:55 EST need sleep Day three and I'm still pushing forward... Today's weigh in was 227.6 which is great but I'm drinking like crazy because of the decongestants that aren't even kicking the congestion if you know what i mean... ugh... being sick is no fun but I'm not letting it stop me. I'm headign to bed because I am tired and I need sleep to get better but know I'm here, and I'm doing this one day at a time. Slower than I'd like to be moving, but still moving and that, my friends is what really matters... k... Thu, 3 Jan 2013 22:04:37 EST MOD? Me? Seriously? wow! Thanks so much for voting me the Motivator of the day. I started off with very little motivation today. I got a lot accomplished yesterday and then last night I woke up in the middle of the night stuffy. I've been a little sneezy/wheezy on and off the past few days but today at work the fever spiked and the head congestion, coughing and chills and shakes started :( Not at all how I was "envisioning" my New Year starting off but everything happens for a reason. I came home early (I ... Wed, 2 Jan 2013 20:04:33 EST I'm Rich Happy New Year everyone! Anyone who knows me knows that I am rich, filthy rich, but not in the "financial" meaning of the word. I've got a great family and wonderful friends and a very supportive husband but while I'm so fortunate for all I have I sometimes forget to take care of me and keep up with what I need. So here I am, again. I was considering scrapping my Spark account and starting over, but to me that seemed a little dishonest as this has been a battle in July 2008 I started at 2... Tue, 1 Jan 2013 21:39:35 EST daily update I've logged and about to blog and head to bed. Today was good, very high day but I was really hungry and tired. I'm not sure why I'm so tired but the running craziness of the school year has just begun. I'm leading the Brownie Troop again this year, and was asked to be the classroom mom again for my daughters room. Hubs is leading the cub scout den and still doing multiple jobs for the pack. Work increased my hours and pay!!!! I'm trying to find the happy medium of where it all fits in ... Wed, 5 Sep 2012 22:12:05 EST Making it Great I'm realizing I have to make the decision to make it great, no one else will. I'm finding more and more that I depend on others the more I allow them to ruin my mood. Well, I'm not letting anyone anymore. I'm going to be "blocking" some people from my FB feed and also distancing myself from some "extended" family that I feel do not value me and my family's feelings. They've hurt us too many times and I'm going to start making our priorities matter and let them wonder for a while. I've lo... Tue, 4 Sep 2012 21:57:56 EST cooking with the hubby..... About a week ago we decided to have a cookout today. We invited our parents/grandparents and planned for traditional cookout grub. It was pretty simple, chicken wings, hot dogs, cheese burgers, watermelon, potato salad, pasta salad (wacky mac), and some Boy Scout Popcorn and although I really wanted to do s'mores I knew the rain was going to make that difficult so I looked on Spark and found Peanut Butter Smores Bars
Submitted by: RANCHO*RELAXO
We had it up on the PC in the kitche... Mon, 3 Sep 2012 20:52:53 EST September 1st I'm planning for a great month and a month to get my act together.

I'm putting ME on the schedule. I've gotta take care of myself NOW and keep taking care of myself. I can't expect anyone else to do it for me so here goes.

Looking forward to a great week full of fun activities and trying some new foods to inspire healthy choices.

I've logged and blogged and I'm headed to bed before bedtime. Sat, 1 Sep 2012 21:12:46 EST I will survive! Not only will I survive, I will conquer and hopefully teach my children about being healthy and staying healthy.
The festival is over and so is the retirement party. So glad tomorrow it's just a "regular" day. I've done pretty good so far this week. Lost internet connection at home and am getting close to maxing out my phone data plan so I didn't Spark much this week, but tomorrow is a new day and I've got to get some sleep

247 Wed, 1 Aug 2012 22:58:04 EST Survival around Festival Food? Thursday night I did pretty well and stuck to 1 slice pizza and 2 pierogies. Luckily they didn't have dessert options. Friday we decided against festival as hubby and I wanted quiet dinner before the boys left for camp so we opted for Red Lobster. They had a 4 course meal for $14.99 and I had a facebook offer for $10 off 2 adult meals including the Four course special. So soup, salad, biscuit, entree and dessert. For $10 each we had too much food. Luckily DD ate my soup and croutons DS ... Sat, 28 Jul 2012 21:15:04 EST Our Thankful Dinner tonight I hosted a thankful dinner. We had turkey breast, green bean cassarole and stuffing to remind us of how grateful we are and because I thought our family needed the reminder of how fortunate we are.
The next few days are going to be crazy at work, my supervisor's husband is going in for surgery (all prayers are appreciated) and our Parish Festival is going on starting Thursday. Our family will be at the festival each night helping and eating. I'm planning on packing in my fregg... Tue, 24 Jul 2012 20:58:44 EST Whatta Wednesday Hope everyone is having a great day. Hubby has lost 10 points and my number on the scale bumped up this morning. UGH.... I love his support but it seems to melt off him and be a struggle for me. Hoping it was a fluke of too much sodium or not enough movement but I'll be keeping an eye on it and being even more vigilant. I'm preparing to head to bed early so I'm blogging early in hopes that the lights will be out sooner than later. Gave blood today. Last time I did that was in January. ... Wed, 18 Jul 2012 17:58:03 EST todo list I'm really good when I know what I need to do so I can just knock it off the list so I figured the same approach should work with Sparking.... So daily goals are:

Login & spin too! †
Track Food/Fitness right before/after. Don't procrastinate! †
5 Freggies before any "fun stuff"
8 Water EARLY in the day †
Take Daily Vitamin †
Stay within Ranges
Do the Walk/Jog routine and play with kids often!
In bed by 10pm at the latest (get 8+ hours sleep) <B... Tue, 17 Jul 2012 14:03:10 EST Moving right along One day at a time, working towards goals and slowly getting into the groove. Now I just need to sleep through the night. I'm not sure why I'm waking up and not able to fall back to sleep, but it's not good. I'm one of those people who need the 8 hours MINIMUM but does best on 9. Seriously, weird as it may seem, if I don't get the 8 I feel bad for all those around me. I try not to let it get to me but I get so frustrated with everything. Well, these overnight hours where I'm awake reall... Fri, 13 Jul 2012 20:57:19 EST Getting there..... this has been a great week. DD went to her first overnight camp Sunday - Tuesday, she enjoyed it but did cry missing us... We also "borrowed" our niece and nephew Sunday night and haven't returned them yet. I think they'd agree that a vacation at Aunt Sandy's was definitely an adventure. I had fun taking them to the library, the local farm, and then went to the water park today. My niece (4) nephew (6) daughter (8) and son (10) and I had fun playing around in and out of the pools, lazy riv... Wed, 11 Jul 2012 21:36:32 EST Time Flies.....
It's been 5 years and I look at these pictures (a few of our favorites) and am proud to say that although I haven't lost much weight, I'm learning how to be healthier and my children are too! Their smiles give me encouragement and I'm glad to be blessed with a wonderful family. So today was a day of celebrating and feasting a lot more than I should have but the hour of pool cleaning today along with some more activities... Sat, 7 Jul 2012 21:17:47 EST Almost forgot! oh my, it's almost bedtime and I almost forgot to blog. I did log my food, I did remember to find a few new people to harass and remembered to bug some of my friends that have been so supportive throughout my journey, back and forth, here and not, knowing that whenever I came back I have had such wonderful supportive friends to help cheer me on!! 381
Don't stop 386 Fri, 6 Jul 2012 20:54:17 EST Looking forward! I've got some goals this week... well, for all of next week too...
I want to make sure to log each day! Food and Fitness!
I must do 5 days fitness
I must get 8 hours sleep
I must get a minimum of 8 cups water
I want to increase freggies. This one really makes the difference for me and with summer fruits everywhere I should be able to do it without a problem. Plus with 2 kids who love fruit smoothies, I'm sure I can do it. Just need to find inexpensive fruit.... can... Thu, 5 Jul 2012 22:19:44 EST What a vacation! We spent more than we had originally planned but did much more than we had originally planned too! We extended our vacation and enjoyed having time together as a family. We did pick up some good habits, like swimming/walking/hiking together each day, and some not so great ones a few too many meals away from home, but are happily home and getting back into the swing of things and still walking so to me, that's a win/win in my book. Now, it's back to tracking and planning and getting myself ... Wed, 4 Jul 2012 16:47:57 EST Making Time day 6 and 7 YIPPEE! Week one down and logged late but logged each day. Blogged every other day minimum but I'm not sure if I can keep up with that this upcoming week.
Today, did >8 cups of water but stopped counting. Didn't get the freggies in but did have a decent day overall on numbers. Tomorrow should be an easy day for water and walking Haven't kept track of the actual mileage/timing but am making it a priority to get out and move around despite having to ride almost 4 hours in the car w... Sat, 23 Jun 2012 20:25:01 EST Making time Day 5 Can't believe I've made it to day 5.... so, I'm all over the charts but I'm charting it so I guess that's a step in the right direction. This heat is killer, gives me no motivation to do anything. I'm hoping to enjoy a week of walking and playing in the pool and um, all different fun stuff. I have the worlds greatest mom who will be keeping an eye out on our place, pool and dog... and I'm headed to Myrtle Beach SC for the first time. I will try to blog a little each night but please know... Thu, 21 Jun 2012 21:26:49 EST Making time Day 3 and 4 I'm slowly getting the hang of logging my food but am having a hard time finding time to blog without staying up past bedtime :( the last 2 days have been good and I'm glad to be ready for bed and then ready for a great day 5!!!!

WooHoo! Getting stuff ready for a vacation is also helping to motivate me to keep going!!!

I'm getting excited Wed, 20 Jun 2012 22:27:14 EST Making time Day 2 Yesterday (Father's Day) I decided to make an honest effort on doing what I need to in order to have more children. I need to lose about 70 pounds in order to take the next step on trying to have more children and being that I'm already 34, I've gotta get this done before kids have kids...LOL! So, I started tracking my food and increasing my exercise. The more time I'm moving the less time I'm filling my face with crap. Yesterday, we did a really short hike (like maybe 15 - 20 minutes) a... Mon, 18 Jun 2012 21:06:47 EST Making time this week my goal is to drink 8-10 cups water AND log food/fitness. I need to make time for me a PRIORITY and it starts NOW! Sun, 17 Jun 2012 21:06:21 EST I'd do anything..... for you dear, anything.....
So, the kids are listening to the songs from Oliver over and over and over again in preparation for the play and I realized... I'd do anything for anyone.... but... I always put myself last and I gotta knock it off! I'm important, I need me, I need to take care of me, I need to make time for me, I need to put me first sometimes. I've been getting back into the habit of daily Mass during the week. I've been getting back into the habit of drinking water and ... Thu, 8 Mar 2012 21:04:49 EST Long Weekend Oh my does time fly. I'm getting better at logging and blogging and texting for some added inspiration. I must remember my water bottle, I'm getting better but still need to remember to move it with me from area to area at home and at work! I'm increasing the freggies and need to keep on them too.
Thank you to everyone who joined me in the Lenten Challenge! I hope it's working for you, as I'm finding the "groove" and hoping that soon I'll be adding exercise to the routine! Mon, 27 Feb 2012 21:12:46 EST A little early today I'v e deprived myself of some much needed shopping time (with coupons and full attention and no kids distracting me) so I am planning on attempting to do that tonight. In order to get outta the house and back at a reasonable time I've decided to do my Sparking a bit early today. Hey, I've gotta stay on track somehow!
Today was a good day overall, decent food choices and dinner is planned & started cooking so at long as I stick with it, all will be great foodwise.
I made it to Ma... Thu, 23 Feb 2012 16:19:36 EST Lent has begun..... Ash Wednesday! BEFORE work and school yesterday I was with my kids waiting outside of Easton Baking to pick up the 4 dozen donuts for the Parish Office and Rectory! Of course the "delivery fee" was a donut for each! They did not get up any earlier, just got ready faster and we ALL had a great time, made it to school and work and had a special early treat! In the afternoon, they actually got ONE faschnaut to share as we discussed the traditions of the day together. Overall it was a huge SPLURGE day for a... Wed, 22 Feb 2012 20:09:22 EST Challenges Everyday is a challenge, and one that I'm happy to have the opportunity to make the most of. Recently we had a school family who's mother lost her long and painful battle with cancer. I am so happy for everyday the Lord has given me and have decided that I am going to Challenge myself during Lent to commit to ME and to commit to SPARK. This is how I feel right now but excited to keep swimming....

237

DD Girl Scout cookies are in full motion. We order 30 cases in and the girls are selling 30 cases and we're ordering and filling orders all the time, day and night. My husband is now the unofficial cookie dad. So far we have done pretty well in NOT eating too many cookies but that is sooooo hard to do for me. So I thought about it. ... Sat, 28 Jan 2012 09:46:18 EST Just a quickie :) Wow, this week is flying by. Got so much to do and am hoping for a very productive evening. I figured I'd plug in at basketball practice and do my "bloggin" while watching DD's practice. It's pretty cool to see the improvement with the whole team. It's an "up to" 4th grade team. She's in 2nd. Overall, I'm impressed with how well she is doing with the others and how even with many younger players they are doing good.
I'm improving on the water challenge thanks to my spark/text bud... Tue, 17 Jan 2012 17:30:00 EST Accountability If there were only more hours in the day. As I look at the clock and it is approaching bedtime I quick try to jump on and update my blog. I have not done as well as I could have the first 2 weeks of the new year, but I have done much better than I was doing the months before that so I count that as a baby step in the right direction. Now, if I could only remember to weigh in tomorrow morning. I'm hoping for that wonderful "friend" to "visit" and put an end to the bloatedness I'm carrying ... Mon, 16 Jan 2012 21:18:49 EST It's Thursday... Already?!?!?! ugh! The time is flying by and I'm not making as much progress as I wanted but... I read a blog today that was basically talking about not expecting perfection and I need to lower my expectations. We spent last night getting our bedroom set moved in and set up and I'm pretty excited to go jump in it because I'm beat and well, although I know I should blog, I visited some SparkBuddies and logged my food and such and now it's time for me and hubby to get rest for another long day tomorrow!!! Thu, 5 Jan 2012 22:14:20 EST day 2/3 already All is going good, but lack of time to blog, track and keep up with spark buddies but I'm sure I'll find ways. It will just take some time to get used to! I am here, I am tracking but I don't like my iPhone for blogging/posting on other things or reading posts/blogs :( Hopefully I'll end up with a laptop with some battery power so I can work from basketball practice... for fun or for money but to keep on track while I have to wait for kids :) Tue, 3 Jan 2012 21:55:31 EST "Day 1" January 1st New Year's Day is my son's birthday and although at 10 he would prefer spending it at some expensive Bowling Alley, Movie Theater, or just about anywhere with HIS friends, there is a tradition of my dad's dad, stepmother, and mother in law coming up to his house and we come down. I was actually there when I determined that the "not feeling well" was actually labor and got to the hospital in time to deliver him a decade ago! Well, in order to compromise we offered for him to bring whatever W... Mon, 2 Jan 2012 10:09:36 EST New Year, New Resolutions, New Attitude I am working towards a goal of my own. I was considering killing this page and starting new but I know putting it here for all my SparkFriends will help keep me accountable. I am trying to figure out the logistics but am determined to start over and know that I can do this. No more excuses, no more putting everything else first, it's my turn and I'm going to make this happen!

Wishing everyone a Healthy & Happy New Year!
408 Sat, 31 Dec 2011 19:38:58 EST Did someone say pool party??? Anyone????

Well, this is also my update. August started 9 days ago and I didn't post my goals... I want to keep tracking food & fitness but I have to stay within ranges better AND need to be more aware of my freggies :) Hopefully I will increase them as I focus more but I think I'm doing pretty darn good!
<... Tue, 9 Aug 2011 21:14:58 EST Constantly going... and going... and.... going! Ok, it's bedtime so I've got to keep this short but I am so excited to report that the scale is slowly going in the right direction, I've been consistently tracking my food and fitness and keeping 8+ water daily. I've also done 2 Zumba classes each week, and some other cardio too! the C25K is a challenge but that will come with time. I figure I'll keep working at it and see how far I can go. Hubby did get the "gazelle" and I've used it twice already. Will be using it more once ... Mon, 1 Aug 2011 22:11:18 EST 1, 2, skip a few 99, 100! My day has felt like this.... I feel very scattered, but kinda in a good way. Last night I totally forgot to blog, but after doing Saturday Zumba, Tuesday Zumba and then a good attempt at C25K W1D1 we got a 40+ minute walk/run with my kids and hubby (I made it more than 1/2 way through doing the running intervals and then was more than winded, but am looking forward to another attempt tomorrow. I figure I can do three week 1s if that's what it takes. DH went out this evening to pick up th... Thu, 28 Jul 2011 22:13:06 EST OH Snap! It happened, I got fed up, finally and then I saw on FB that a Zumba instructor that I really wanted to drop in on (but was a bit too far to travel for a class) was subbing on Saturday. But I already had my cousin visiting for the weekend and had no plans for the kids and the excuses started to mount.... but NO, hubby wouldn't let me. He knows that I wanted to do the Class with Kelly and I've been wanting to go back but things keep getting in the way so he offered to take both kids and aske... Tue, 26 Jul 2011 22:15:15 EST
