Tue, 20 Nov 2012 21:51:26 EST More perfectionism and portion control, less pie. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5137416 Well, it's Friday and although I have not gained any weight this week, I haven't lost any either.

I had several days of eating not as well as before, and it appears to me that substituting less healthy foods (such as pie) even if I stay in my calorie range is NOT enough to keep me losing weight at my current fitness/activity level. Clearly, as far as my body is concerned, not all foods are created equal. And until I get my nighttime eating under control, an apple or a dried fig as... Fri, 16 Nov 2012 12:08:13 EST Portion control, perfectionism, and pie http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5135152 Yesterday was not my most successful diet day, but it was definitely a learning experience.

In the morning at work "breakfast" was a variety of cold cuts, cheeses, croissants, grapes, and two kinds of cake. I should have turned around and went back to my desk for oatmeal and a banana, but I didn't. So, I had a croissant with two slices of turkey and half a slice of cheese and a dozen grapes, and managed to keep it under 400 calories according to the nutrition tracker.

... Sun, 11 Nov 2012 11:42:33 EST Crockpot Pumpkin Meatloaf (thanks to SABLENESS) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5130882 Yesterday I made the Crockpot Pumpkin Meatloaf that SABLENESS posted in her blog.
www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_jo
urnal_individual.asp?blog_id=5116126
.
Here is how it looked:

The presentation is magnificent, as you can see. However, as SABLENESS said, it is tricky to get it out of the cooker as the pumpkin becomes soft. It was cooked all the way through, no worries about the me... Sat, 10 Nov 2012 20:13:35 EST Cooking with autumn foods! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5130121 I had today off, so I went grocery shopping to do some cooking for the next week. I've been seeing all these pumpkin recipes here on SP and so am a bit pumpkin-obsessed at the moment. It's a good idea for me to test recipes BEFORE I make them for the whole family on the holidays! I have had some embarrassing Thanksgiving food failures in the past due to trying new recipes on the big day.

Today I made a pumpkin cranberry spice cake.
recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detai
l.... Fri, 9 Nov 2012 23:59:59 EST Better Start http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5127172 Today is off to a better start. I got to bed early last night, and this morning the PMS weight gain was gone and I'm back to the level of my last weigh-in. There is hope for the week yet!

Noticing this week that when I go up the stairs at work it is easier and I no longer want to hold the handrail (good thing too, those things are filthy). Wed, 7 Nov 2012 10:47:37 EST Monthly weight gain :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5125459 I know I haven't overeaten but my pants are tight again. Then I remembered the full moon just passed, and I knew what was going on. PMS, whoopee. I am not going to weigh myself until this bloating horror goes back to normal... seeing the scale now would be so depressing since I've only lost 4 pounds so far.

On the bright side, it was interesting to bike to work AFTER sunrise and bike home in the dark. (Yes, I have all kinds of blinky lights all over my bike!) Mon, 5 Nov 2012 21:38:14 EST
