I lost weight last year, but hit a plateau for so long. I decided to reset everything like I'm starting over. I started the day after Christmas, like I did last year. I've come so far since one year ago, but now I want to get more fit, too. I'm hoping this will help.
I didn't eat very well for the past month, but now that I've started eating healthier and journaling everything again, my sugar cravings are gone. Sun, 29 Dec 2013 23:53:31 EST Advice Please http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5526871 I lost 32 lbs and went from size ten to size 6. I need to lose another 18 lbs, but I seem to be stuck, although I've been practicing maintenance. I'm very small boned, so I don't look overweight, but I really do need to lose 18 lbs. I seem to be stuck, and I gain and lose a few lbs. I'm thinking that I need to start a new ticker and review everything I've done before when I started last December. Have any of you done that when you got closer to goal?
Do you think starting with a new Tic... Tue, 29 Oct 2013 21:37:05 EST Still Working on Balance and a Valentino http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5395218 I am still a work in progress. I vowed from the start that I would stay with Sparkpeople for at least two years to focus on better health. When I started, I lost weight steadily and then I hit the plateau. Even if this is all the weight I lost, it would still be worth it. I've lost 30 lbs and gone from a size 10 to a size 6 jeans. I really want to lose another 18 lbs, but I also want to keep it off forever.
I'm not skipping meals the way I did before, and I'm taking the time to mostly c... Wed, 19 Jun 2013 12:53:24 EST Still on a Plateau http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5340238 I've been on a plateau for weeks now. My body is stubbornly hanging on to this weight. At least I'm doing other things, like visitng my family on a farm, to work and share stories. I got some fresh produce from a farm coop, so I'm getting a variety of vegetables and fruits. iIwill have to be positive and just keep at it.
491 488 265 258 45 Tue, 30 Apr 2013 01:34:10 EST Plateau http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5320288 I'm stuck at a plateau now, so I'm going over everything I'm doing. I went over portion control, exercise, fast break goals, and my own goals. I definitely feel better, look better, and have more energy, so something is working. The scale is bouncing around 2 lbs each way and back again. I was steadily losing weight for the past 3 months (I lost 25 lbs.), but now I feel like I've been stuck for awhile.

I put my bicycle in front of a TV so I can work out while watching the news be... Fri, 12 Apr 2013 00:25:20 EST I'm half-way to my weight loss goal! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5310751 Although I have other goals, such as fitness, I am half-way to my weight loss goal. I've lost 24 lbs in the last 13 weeks, and I have 24 more to go. There is something rewarding about knowing I've made it this far. I felt like it was slow and steady, but it has matched up to what I thought when I wrote out my goals. I'm sure that I will have to make a few adjustments for when the weight loss slows down. I'm looking forward to riding my bike more and hiking while I visit friends.
When I f... Wed, 3 Apr 2013 22:23:53 EST My Love of Bicycles http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5302268 My first bicycle was a used yellow green heavyweight. My parents bought me a bike that I could grow into, but I couldn't sit on the seat and reach the pedals, so for years I biked standing up. When I got the bike in second grade, I didn't know how to ride. My oldest brother put me on it and promised he would walk along beside me, but after a few steps he gave me a push as I pedaled down the hill alone. I had that bike until I was in high school and I rode it everywhere. Before moving to Afric... Wed, 27 Mar 2013 16:45:19 EST A Valentino Evening Gown http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5292907 I have a silly motivator for getting into shape. Someday, I'm going to wear a Valentino evening gown. I have no idea where I would find one, but I guess I will try calling in favors when I get there. It wouldn't have to be a Valentino, but I like the sound of it, and they are so beautiful.
For now, I've lost 20 lbs, and for the most part it has been steady. The last week I have stayed the same, so I started checking my portions more carefully and adding more protein again. I had too man... Tue, 19 Mar 2013 21:19:22 EST Revisiting Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5271030 Today I got on the scale, and I'm 17 lbs less than I was when starting back on Sparkpeople on December 30, 2012. The Nutrition Tracker and I have been best friends during this time. I love the success stories and all of the tools on SP. Seeing the weight loss graph take a steady downturn is motiavting me each week. Also, I've gone from size 10 to size 8.
Although I do get exercise, I'm hoping to talk myself into a regular fitness program, but I'm still working on making other changes. I ... Sun, 3 Mar 2013 11:43:30 EST Steady Progress http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5245070 I looked at the graph after weighing in today, which shows steady progress. I've lost 13 lbs since starting December 30. I love the graph, as it is such a visual motivator. My weight will stay the same for days, and then suddenly drop. The slower weight loss seems to take the weight off in all the right places, as my clothes are fitting better all the time, and I feel more energetic. Using Sparkpeople is fun to do every day! 252 Sun, 10 Feb 2013 12:19:28 EST Staying motivated http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5237776 I got on the scale today, and I've lost 12 lbs. this past month. I feel better and my clothes fit better. 515 Mon, 4 Feb 2013 20:46:39 EST Slowly losing http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5234435 I've lost 8 lbs in the last month, and I'm losing slowly, but I feel so much better.
