I'm going to do a quick blog post to distract myself from the fact that I'm still kind of hungry. I had a skinny margarita, tortilla chips, salsa, bean dip, guacamole, and some kind of spinach and cheese dip thing around 3 p.m. with a girlfriend before we went to see Monsters University. It's tough to estimate all those calories, and I'm pretty sure that I'm at my max for the day even though my estimate says I've got 230 calories to go. I'm talking about the 70,000 steps per week goal that I sort of made for myself on Tuesday of this week after having a really active Sunday and Monday. I'm going to finish up around 63,000 though, and that's not too shabby! I would have made it if I had forced myself to work out on Wednesday, but I came home from work just completely pooped and went to bed by 9:00, which is not normal for me. Still, having this goal in place pushed me further than I would have normally gone... Sat, 1 Jun 2013 18:15:19 EST Well That Was A Lot Harder Than I Expected It's no secret that I have a competitive spirit and that I often challenge myself. Well, I managed to finish Sunday with around 9,000 steps, and yesterday with over 12,000. Without actually saying it out loud or writing it down, I decided I had to commit to getting an average of 10,000 steps a day this week and that it was doable. Only I came home from work today at just over 2,000. I did the Leslie Sansone 4 mile walking video and it was hard the whole way through. Not because the worko... I have tracked my food every day this week and am feeling pretty proud of myself. I think my calorie range is a little too low based on my activity level, but I'm going to stay close to it for a week or two and see how things go. SP suggests my range to be between 1410 and 1760 calories per day. I'm definitely staying at the higher end, and have averaged 1,896 per day instead. So, here's what's been going on since then. A whole lot of eating bad for me food. A whole lot of nothing at the gym. A whole lot of phlegm. I'm in my third week of an annoying cold. Today I drove to Tucson to go visit my cousin Amy, her hubby Russell, and their daughter Georgia. R had to work, so it was just us girls for most of the day.
