So far I have:

scheduled annual doc appt
scheduled eye appt
scheduled car appt
changed name on internet acct
changed name on credit card acct
changed name with aaa
left message to change name with insurance
payed the internet bill

These are all very big steps for me because I HATE talking on the phone. Tue, 8 Jul 2014 09:36:03 EST 4/27/14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5681415 Wow! We are already at the end of April. This boggles my mind! I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by.

Today is the last day of our week long stay-cation! It was wonderfully re-energizing. We did lots of relaxing, but made sure we were a bit active each day too. We went on walks (when it wasn't raining or snowing) and took ourselves to the gym! I am proud of us for that. I also am proud of how we ate. We only ordered in pizza once. Last night as a special treat and it... Sun, 27 Apr 2014 08:18:30 EST 4/9/14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5668753 Just updating my blog!

Today will be long but satisfying when it is over. I have a regular school day to start, then I am sure I will have a student of two in for a last minute practice before tonight's coffee house performance. For this informal concert, the students were allowed to select their own song to perform. Then they had to rehearse it independently. The only part that I had was to give constructive feedback along the way. What they chose to do with that feedback was up t... Thu, 10 Apr 2014 07:03:31 EST plan ahead http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5641058 Today's SparkCoach challenge is to plan tomorrow's meals ahead. We are having dinner with friends so that part is out of my control. Instead I will plan for tonight's dinner now.

Dinner:
Brown rice
Chicken
Homemade egg rolls (we made some last weekend and they were awesome! We tried freezing them, I hope they are just as good the second time around)

Breakfast (Friday):
2 eggs/cheese omelet
English muffin

Lunch:
6 inch veggie sandw... Thu, 6 Mar 2014 07:02:15 EST check in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5632676 It has been a while since doing a blog check in! Despite that, things are going very well. I've reactivated my gym membership and my Spark activity tracker is keeping me honest! I am getting so much better at tracking my food too. What do you know.….when I am consistent with the gym and tracking I see results! I also have a log in streak of 62 days!

That being said we just went back to work after having q week off. I was diligent about working out and mostly diligent about tracking... Mon, 24 Feb 2014 16:00:28 EST Today's thoughts http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5542558 I set three goals last week and met two of them 100%! The third goal was met at 50%. A good start, but it will be my main focus next week.

Today I already ventured out to Walmart. I prefer to go bright and early as the store is much calmer and quieter at that time of day. I needed new basics. Socks, underwear and Jammie pants. I also chose some material to make a bag for a Christmas gift.

Now that I am home I need a game plan to make the most of the day! After writing t... Sat, 16 Nov 2013 09:56:05 EST Wonderful Weekend and Special News! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5524819 I have had a wonderful weekend! Admittedly over in my calorie intake on both days. Saturday I didn't track because it was my birthday. I definitely went over with the frosted cookie I had but I could have done worse! We even made the cookie with just the mic and unsweetened apple sauce. No oil or eggs! But I also didn't meet my steps goal for the day.

Today, we meet my parents for brunch. I got some lovely presents. My dad spoiled me with a ghinger rotary cutter for my sewing proje... Sun, 27 Oct 2013 18:09:21 EST Excited! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5523390 I am very excited because my Spark 546 came in the mail today. I am a little bummed that it isn't compatible with my tablet, but I have it set up on my boyfriend's laptop and it isn't in his way at all! Also, I signed up for a year of SparkCoach and it came with 2 Spark DVDs and 5 ebooks!

I am also excited because tomorrow is my birthday 144 and after a morning rehearsal I hope to get some sewing done.

A third reason to be excited is because my pa... Fri, 25 Oct 2013 18:38:48 EST Early Morning http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5519045 Good morning. I am up and at 'em an hour before my alarm is set to go off. I woke feeling well rested and not too congested, a trend I hope continues, but also with a mile-long to-do list swirling around in my head! I figured I might as well get up and begin putting that list somewhere visible if I have hopes of completing it today...

Pack a lunch
Edit plans for third grade
Organize weekly plans
Call parent
Grocery shop
Plan workouts
Rehearsal tonight ... Mon, 21 Oct 2013 05:39:07 EST Asthma http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5446641 Just a quick check in today. I've done a wonderful job of logging EVERYTHING so far this month. I've been diligent this summer with working out and being active. But my body has struggled. Every workout I finish thinking I could have done better if I could just catch my breath! I have used my rescue inhaler 20 minutes prior to working out as prescribed but I just wasn't cutting it. Today was the final straw. I went on a really very gentle hike. Used my inhaler prior and wasn't more than a few... Tue, 6 Aug 2013 15:42:17 EST Food for Thought http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5325199 I have just returned from grocery shopping and have a few thoughts to share. First being that I actually enjoyed grocery shopping today. Generally it is very much a chore for me but our lives have been so hectic lately that we have done a lot of dining out so I am anxious to begin cooking for ourselves again. I would like to state that I feel as though eating out is even going well! I have made some great choices and potion control is getting so much easier. It takes a lot less to feel full! ... Tue, 16 Apr 2013 12:38:14 EST Important Articles of Clothing http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5304625 I have two articles of clothing that are motivating me right now. They are items that I already own and would love to wear again.

The first is a fleece lined sweatshirt from LLBean. I can technically wear this now, but it does not zip up in a comfortable or flattering manner right now! My goal is to be able to wear this comfortably when camping this summer while sitting around the campfire!

The second article of clothing is a nice pair of board shorts. They are soo cute,... Fri, 29 Mar 2013 18:06:12 EST I survived! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5289574 I did it! Last week was incredibly busy, but I made it though! The students all performed and behaved wonderfully and everyone left with smiles on their faces :) I will chalk it up as success in my book! I also had a few meetings with administrators to discuss scheduling for next year and travel funds and all that jazz. Neither meeting had the outcome of my choice, but nothing is set in stone yet either. I will keep my ear to the ground and ask for backing and or assistance if I need it. This... Sun, 17 Mar 2013 08:33:42 EST Plan of Attack http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5281070 As I stated earlier this morning, I am feeling very anxious this morning about a crazy busy week coming up. What help me feel in control? To-do lists. They allow me to compartmentalize and prioritize. So here goes:

To Do Sunday
Convert Accompaniment Tracks
Prep food for lunches and quick dinners on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

To Do Monday
Hang welcome signs in lobby of schools.
Hang concert in progress sign on door at HTS.
Set up extra chairs. ... Sun, 10 Mar 2013 11:26:58 EST Anxious http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5280935 I am feeling anxious today! Name it and claim it right? I have a big week ahead. As a music teacher I am taking this week to provide my students with performance opportunities. For my students K-4, we have invited the student's grownups in to visit their music class. I call these Classroom Concerts. They are a wonderful experience for students at this age. I don't force my younger students on stage, we show off our abilities right in the music classroom. It also provides me with time and mate... Sun, 10 Mar 2013 09:22:57 EST Update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5264906 Hello there! Just a quick update...
I am still really enjoying my morning workouts. I'm not seeing the movement on the scale that I had hoped for, but I am seeing a huge improvement in my energy and outlook. I need to remind myself that numbers will improve with time too; I just need to be patient.
My New Year Resolutions are still going strong (GO ME!!). Each morning I am doing my hair and make up for work and tackling chores throughout the week has made cleaning so much more manag... Tue, 26 Feb 2013 15:38:23 EST Today I... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5188925 signed up for the gym! I actually chose a gym that was not what I posted about on Tuesday! This one is about a mile or two further away, but still within 10 minutes from home and it has better hours (5:30am-10pm) a cardio room, a weight room, a pool, a hot tub, dry sauna and classes are included! With a discount for working in the school system it was only $5 a month more to join and if my boyfriend decides to join it is only $15 more!

ALSO....I ordered some new workout clothes f... Thu, 3 Jan 2013 20:56:05 EST Gym! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5183499 For Christmas my mother gave me money to put toward a gym membership! I'm very excited! I have selected one to check out that is only a couple of blocks from home. I am going to go talk to them tomorrow. Hours are a little tricky, as they don't open until six. My hope is to be able to use an elliptical/treadmill for 30 minutes (6:00-6:30am) during the work week and then go back to use weight machines after work. I'm going to ask about machine availability to make sure this is a realistic goal... Tue, 1 Jan 2013 10:21:15 EST
