Wow, does that make a change in energy levels or what? He also drove home the importance of eating foods that are high in water (aka fruits and vegetables) and why they are so important. The plan is to from now on eat a fruit or vegetable with each meal.

For now I'm going to start eating gluten again, because I don't think that it was making that much of a difference. The last two days I had eaten something with gl... Mon, 21 May 2012 08:00:41 EST power questions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4882217 I have been neglecting to do the power questions in the morning. I wonder if that's the reason it has still been so hard to get off my but in the morning. I have just finished doing the dishes and it is already 3 pm. Next: Exercise. Back/triceps and abs. I have the laptop now setup in the 'exercise room', so I can use the Chris Carey cd for my lifting. For now I'm going to have to use the Rocking Iron CD, but I'm pretty sure I still have a copy of the other CD on my other computer. I want to ... Tue, 15 May 2012 09:24:44 EST exercise room, http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4872005 Turning my spare room into an exercise room. Just hauling all the crap into that room was a workout in and of itself. When I hauled the weight bench over, my calves were sore for days. Not quite as sore as after doing calves BFL style, but still pretty bad. Still going strong with the Tony Robbins tapes. Maybe not every day, but at least on my days off.

For now I have plenty to do to get the house the way I want it. After 4 years, I'm going to be back on track. Tue, 8 May 2012 10:09:45 EST Morning power questions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4860533 Part of doing Tony Robbins' Personal power, is asking yourself power questions every morning. Yesterday's assignment was: Write down 5 custom made power questions to start your day with. Well here goes.

What am I grateful for in my life right now?
Facebook. Maybe an odd one to start with, but this is really what I'm grateful for. During the 80ies I was part of a group that used to hang out at 'Rodos' bar in Amsterdam. A lot of them were street musicians. In 1989 the city of Am... Tue, 1 May 2012 04:48:00 EST Today's entry http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4816190 is not much different from the last one. I had a massive free day on Friday (cake for my boss, who is leaving), another one on Saturday (not as bad as Friday) and yet another one on Sunday (Sunday roast with cappuccino + Amaretto for desert)

Back on the horse as of this morning. I finally ordered the case to put my phone on the bike, so I can watch the GPS while I ride. I'm going back to using Run GPS, since they track more variables than the other one. With my phone attached on th... Mon, 2 Apr 2012 07:15:47 EST Monday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4793409 I'm going to be back at it full swing. I had a full free day yesterday and had a little ice cream left for today. Other than that my eating was on track. No exercise though. Tomorrow I'l be cycling to work again. Planning strength training on Tuesday and Thursday. (my days off) Cycling on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. One more strength training on the weekend. I am thinking of doing 2 bodyparts BFL style per training, that will give me a full body training once a week. And the way they are tr... Sun, 18 Mar 2012 13:39:42 EST Waiting http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4776829 for the man who is (hopefully) going to fix the Geyser. As of last weekend it doesn't switch off when you turn the water off. Somebody already came to fix it, but as soon as he left, the problem returned. It seems to be a trend nowadays, that they can't fix stuff right the first time. I had the same problem twice with my clogged drain. They came to fix it, but the problem wasn't fixed right the first time, so they had to come by a second time. Now they were supposed to be here before one, and... Thu, 8 Mar 2012 06:56:18 EST Great http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4774916 I am working reception this morning, but nobody has explained to me how the telephone here works. Apparently I can' t even transfer calls to people in the office. At first I didn't even notice it, so I let people wait for ever, thinking I had transferred the call to the right person. No such luck.

Back to cycling to work. Yesterday I didn't exercise, because I ended up spending too much time at the bar. There is a virtual Rodos bar on Facebook, and just like in the real bar once up... Wed, 7 Mar 2012 04:43:27 EST Exciting week. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4771166 And that's an understatement. There finally is a Rodos bar group on Facebook. It's the bar I used to hang out in, before the Mayor had to screw it all up by banning the use of amps by street musicians. That was the beginning of my life going south in a major way. When I was evicted in 1997, I lost everything I owned, because I was stuck at the police station for three days. I wonder what they thought about finding a copy of 'Mein Kampf'. Btw. One of the worst books ever written. Not just the ... Mon, 5 Mar 2012 05:50:54 EST Workout http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4765494 done today. I had a headache yesterday. and the day before I just felt like crap. Going to bed really early yesterday helped.

Workout was exhausting. Tomorrow is cycling to work day. Going to bed. Thu, 1 Mar 2012 14:07:16 EST all fours http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4757856 Finally tried to do the 'on all fours' part of 'Ramp it up'. Wow, that was really hard. I could only keep up if I took a break during the fast raps. As it turns out, I can put the monitor on the floor and put the mat in front of the monitor.

I do find it gets harder to start the workouts. It's good that the workout is cut up in segments, so I can tell myself: I am only going to do this segment. When the next segment rolls around I say the same thing. That's how I usually end up doi... Sun, 26 Feb 2012 11:48:23 EST finally http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4755054 got some exercise in today. Ramp it up minus the 'on all fours' part. I still have to find a way to be able to watch the monitor from the floor. If I can't see the instructor, I'm pretty much lost. My brain is to slow to be able to translate language into movement fast enough. so by the time I know what I'm supposed to be doing, the instructor is already three moves ahead of me. I have never been able to do yoga group classes, because of this. (think downward dog) Fri, 24 Feb 2012 12:39:51 EST Tired http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4750840 is how I'm feeling today, in spite of having yesterday off. Usually I am only this tired the day after a working day. On a day like that I get up around 9 and after breakfast I am surprised to see that it's already 11.30. Yesterday I did my workout, but I'm thinking about blowing it off for today. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body, when it tells you to take a day of rest.

Wed, 22 Feb 2012 08:07:18 EST no mood http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4749482 I was in no mood to exercise today, but I did it anyway. My second attempt at 'Ramp it up', but still skipping the 'on all fours' part. Just as you're starting to feel better about how you're doing, you're back to square one with the new workout. Oh well, slow and steady wins the race.

I'm really going to have to do some cleaning tomorrow. The floor is absolutely disgusting. I got my work done as well this morning, so I can use most of tomorrow for cleaning. Time for a 'home blessi... Tue, 21 Feb 2012 12:16:47 EST cycled to work http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4747088 Only to find the server at work down. The only thing that works is the internet, so we can't get into the work folders. Slowly preparing myself to cycle back and to do some shopping on the way back. Oh well, at least I got my exercise in today. I'll be taking work home with me, so I can work at home on Thursday. That means I won't have to go to work until Friday. Mon, 20 Feb 2012 06:10:18 EST procrastination http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4746098 strikes again. I was watching the skating and as a result I didn't feel like working out anymore. I ended up doing the short start up workout, which I guess is better than nothing. Tomorrow I'll be working, so I'll be cycling to work again.

If I only looked at the scale I'd be so frustrated by now. The whole week I was down to 58, only to see the scale go up to 59 again this morning. Straight back where I started. I just checked my waste and it is down another cm from last week. I ... Sun, 19 Feb 2012 12:57:37 EST taking it easy: free day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4744723 The cycling over the last two days really kicked my butt, so I'm taking it easy for today. I cycled to the supermarket (the one in the shopping mall) and ended up walking back part of the way. About 2 km of each. Eating mostly good, but I do allow myself a bit of leeway today. (had a small serving of potato chips, and some vanilla fudge. The bag was a bit big, so I gave half to my son before starting to dig in. I guess we live and learn (eventually) Sat, 18 Feb 2012 12:02:30 EST too tired http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4742983 to do much writing. I cycled to work again today, so now I've cycled close to 30 miles in two days. No wonder I'm totally knackered. Me thinks an afternoon nap is in order. Fri, 17 Feb 2012 08:27:14 EST cycling http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4741209 all the way to work again today. To cycle there and back is close to 15 miles. I have some work to do today that's going to take all of my concentration, so by the time I get home, I'm going to be trashed. It's going to be the exact same thing tomorrow, so no other exercise until Saturday.

Note to self: please wash your hair. It is as bad as it looks. Thu, 16 Feb 2012 05:27:09 EST crap http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4738060 Well in spite of feeling like crap yesterday, I still did my workout. I still have to do today's workout, but I am determent to do it.

I finally managed to at least get my study books out again. Now I want to continue with that for at least an hour before i do my workout. Tomorrow I want to get some cleaning done.

I'm not sure weather I should continue with Slim in Six. I've looked at the second video and I'm not so sure those exercises are as effective as they could be,... Tue, 14 Feb 2012 08:21:51 EST bad move http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4736127 The chocolates on free day were a bad move. I had a really bad migraine yesterday, to the point that I had to bring out the heavy guns. (Klonopin) The first few hours I kept waking up every half hour in spite of it. The strange this is, that when I make myself 'heave' the pain temporarily goes away, giving me enough time to fall asleep. Nothing comes out, but for some strange reason the pressure on my head makes the pain go away, although one would expect the opposite.

Still feelin... Mon, 13 Feb 2012 03:04:02 EST Free day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4733717 Although I shouldn't because I already ate way to many calories yesterday. I'm beginning to wonder what the working substance in Ambien is, because I have now had several eating attacks after taking my sleeping pill. I have even had several episodes of 'sleep eating' whenever I have taken more than one, and I've heard that that is a typical Ambien problem.

I really didn't feel like it, but I did end up doing my 'Slim in six' workout. I am still doing the lunges with a chair on the ... Sat, 11 Feb 2012 12:05:47 EST too tired http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4732191 to do any real writing. Just collecting points. I will be off to bed after this. Fri, 10 Feb 2012 11:03:00 EST weight fluctuation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4730060 can be very frustrating. Last Thursday I weighed 57.5 kg, but that was after not eating for a day due to a migraine. This morning I was back up to 59 kg. I did a quick check of my waist last Thursday, and it was down to 72 cm. from 74 cm. the last time I checked. Next Sunday I want to take official measurements to see what they are doing. Considering I have been doing lots of squats and lunges and that I have been taking a protein shake with dextrose after my workout I'm just hoping it's mu... Thu, 9 Feb 2012 06:34:19 EST work to do http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4728460 and then my workout. Since i did all of my shopping yesterday, I won't have to do any shopping today, and tomorrow I'll be going to work again. Still no cycling to work as there is still snow on the ground. Hopefully temps will rise after the weekend, so the snow will disappear. Unfortunately a raise in temp will also mean more rain. I have a rain suit, so hopefully that will not deter me from cycling. Food was good yesterday and good today (so far) Time to take some measurements on Sunday. Wed, 8 Feb 2012 08:34:31 EST workout http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4727151 done. Nutrition good. Shopping done and even the dishes. Lunges still hard. Tue, 7 Feb 2012 13:00:00 EST Start it up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4723188 is still kicking my butt. The walking in snow I did yesterday didn't help either, so the lunges hurt even more that usual. It took me almost the whole day just to get my courage together to do it. Well I finally did. Victory is mine! Gna gna gna. Sun, 5 Feb 2012 10:01:29 EST Migraine http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4717872 Still having them. I had some diluted drink before going to bed and apparently that is still a big no no. It was such a heavy attack that I ended up taking a tranquilizer. The one I have has a very long half value time, so it takes a while to get out of my system. It usually means I'm not capable of work the next day. Since I didn't have much to do today at work anyway I called in to tell what happened. Thank God I have a very understanding boss.

I tried to get information on how t... Thu, 2 Feb 2012 04:15:48 EST Sunday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4709823 My boyfriend stayed the night, but as usual nothing happened. At night he is too drunk and in the morning I'm anything but 'in the mood'. I want my coffee, my usual morning ritual with the computer, and then breakfast. It was already like that before I started on that antidepressant, and with the antidepressant it has only become worse. It totally killed my libido.

What didn't help, was the fact that the sweater he was wearing, smelled like a hobo. I work at the homeless paper in A... My boss actually called me, because he knows I have a tendency to put if off until later in the week. As a result I ended up doing the work straight away. I pumped op the ball partway, but it says you have to leave it for 24 hours on 80 percent full, so the material can adjust. The doorstop is wonderful. My boss has an appointment for a private conversation and that means he needs the office. Since part of the office is rented out, I work in his office and that means that when he has to have a private conversation, I have to leave. I have done the work I needed to do anyway and whatever extra work needs to be done, can be done next week.

I finally set up the WII yesterday. Thu, 26 Jan 2012 07:17:20 EST wednesday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4702509 as usual my day off. Later, I will see my mentor for our weekly meeting.

Yesterday, I caught myself putting my shoes were they belong on my way to the kitchen. That doesn't sound like much to most people, but for me that is pretty big. Not the fact that I was putting those shoes were they belong, but the fact I did it without thinking after I had already gone to bed is pretty big. In the kitchen I even made a point of emptying the sink. Could it be that Flylady is finally rubbing o... Wed, 25 Jan 2012 04:03:32 EST working from home http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4698135 again. This time not exactly planned. Last Thursday I had taken some work home with me to do over the weekend. (not the work I did on Friday) On Saturday my boyfriend came over and when he does we usually smoke some pot. Ergo no work on Saturday.

He also brought me a half pound of mixed chocolates. All of them pure chocolate. Note to self: Pure chocolate is a terrible migraine trigger. Mon, 23 Jan 2012 05:12:26 EST weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4694702 I ended up eating over my calories yesterday as a result of a bag of mixed nuts. The problem with those things is that I can't just have one serving, so I already make sure I buy the smallest container they have. Unfortunately that is still 150 grams and over 800 calories. I'm quite sure though, I don't end up digesting all those calories, because I always end up having the runs when I do that. The effect of Alli, without the Alli. I have to remember to take those enzymes I bought a while ag... Sat, 21 Jan 2012 07:31:39 EST bedroom http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4690612 I am so proud of how tidy my bedroom is that I have posted a picture of it on my Facebook page. It hasn't been this tidy in the 4 years that I have lived here.

By Tuesday I could finally get up again without needing support from the table or the hooks in my bathroom. I did abs and some triceps. I really have to pay attention to keep this going. Otherwise I can start all over again and the first weeks it's always the hardest. I get sore like nobodies busyness. Today and probably to... Thu, 19 Jan 2012 07:05:04 EST Monday monday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4683547 I discovered that I didn't have my wallet on my when I wanted to board the tram on my way to work. Thank God I have a very understanding boss. When something like this happens I can either take the day off, or I can catch up on the work later. The work I'm doing at the moment can be done at home, so in this case I can take home with me on Thursday what I won't be able to finish that day, and finish on the weekend. Problem solved.

My legs are still sore like nobody's busyness. All I... Mon, 16 Jan 2012 06:32:46 EST Quiet Sunday at home http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4681918 No exercise but I did get a few things done around the house. Roughly half of the home blessing hour + dishes. I decided to break it up in pieces, because the whole seemed a little to daunting. Magazines culled, Bed linen changed, dishes done and garbage emptied. Left to do: Vacuuming, dusting and mopping. One day at the time and babysteps. Sun, 15 Jan 2012 11:44:29 EST productive http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4671259 It has been quite a productive day. I did some work for both employers, got shopping and cooked dinner. This may not seem like a lot to other people, but it's quite a lot for me. Oh cycling to and from the shop is going to have to count as cardio. Only 10 minutes in total, but that is still better than nothing.

In spite of the fact that I didn't have any gluten, I still had a migraine yesterday. This may have been caused by that new protein powder with carbs. It was the last thing ... Tue, 10 Jan 2012 12:20:51 EST Free day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4663608 The first one in the new year. Except for last Sunday I managed to stay within my calorie range. And except for Thursday, I did a little exercise every day. A bit more than at 'little bit' yesterday. It was noticeable that I had hardly done anything for 4 weeks. I even had to go back to first gear for while, and I was completely pooped when I got home. That there was a lot of wind, didn't exactly help matters.

I really do want to get back into lifting, but to be honest I'm quite sc... Sat, 7 Jan 2012 09:43:54 EST broke the chain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4661221 that I started last Sunday, because I didn't do any exercise yesterday. Up until yesterday I had been able to do at least 15 minutes on the elliptical, or cycle to the closest supermarket. Yesterday things kind of fell apart because of my sons visitor. I am not complaining though, because she has helped him clean up his room, and put together the wardrobe for his stuff. They even managed to put some of the linoleum that I had left over from my own bedroom, on the floor. Both his friend and I ... Fri, 6 Jan 2012 05:38:51 EST Day 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4653224 went a little better, although now I ended up not eating enough. Having those eggs for breakfast an lunch did help me stay full longer. Apart from that I didn't get much else done, though. As of now I want to start my day with one of those self hypnosis tapes to improve you will power. Unfortunately it already takes a lot of will power to just get on with it and listen to the tape already! Tue, 3 Jan 2012 05:50:39 EST too many calories http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4650590 on my first day. Quitting pot is still one bridge too far, but I managed to stick to one small joint after dinner. It was already quite a struggle during the day, but as long as I can postpone my first joint until after dinner, I'm happy. I know that once I've had that first joint, nothing else gets done that day, not even recreational stuff, like reading a book, or watching a movie. In short: it's turning me into a zombie.

Even without the joint, starting stuff is not easy. Yep, t... I have one extra reason to keep an eye on my eating. It has happened a few times to many to be a coincidence: Whenever I eat something with gluten in it I end up with a migraine.

I had the first small slip up on Tuesday night. I had forgotten my glasses and the guy from the shop who read the label for me, screwed up. By the time I read the label and found out, I had already eaten some of it. Sun, 1 Jan 2012 04:21:44 EST blocked http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4633620 Because of the blocked drain I haven't been able to do anything around the house during the weekend. I was just getting into the swing of things when it happened, and it totally killed my momentum. Both Monday and Tuesday wasted. On top of that we got a letter from my sons SSDI that stated he has to pay back some of last months money. We knew that this was coming, but it looks like they made a mistake in their calculations and they're making him pay back much more than he has earned. He now h... Wed, 21 Dec 2011 05:48:54 EST problem solved. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4630952 at 12.45 at night. After calling them about the problem at 10.30 in the morning. There was only a small puddle in the bathroom then. By the time they came it was overflowing into the kitchen and the hall. Because my apartment was the last one before the block in the pipe, the neighbors sewage was coming up in my bathroom. Thank God it was mostly washing machine water and no recognizable bits. Thank God that's also what it smelled like.

These apartments were build in the sixties, in... Mon, 19 Dec 2011 05:41:06 EST Blocked drain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4628983 The toilet finally got fixed, but now I'n having problems with a blocked drain. They came to fix it yesterday, but when I looked this morning, the water in my bathroom was still not running away. So now I have 1-2 inches of water on the floor of my bathroom. I called again, but because it's the weekend I don't know when they're going to call me back. In the mean time, I can't do any cleaning, because I can't get rid of the dirty water.

Oh, well. To be continued. Sat, 17 Dec 2011 09:19:21 EST Toilet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4626416 got fixed today. Later somebody will come to fix some of the other things that need fixing, like the kitchen door. Yesterday I bought some stuff for the bedroom. New sheets and covers.

Every day I'm getting something done around the house. It may not be much on a day to day basis, but it does add up. Thu, 15 Dec 2011 07:42:28 EST forgot my medication again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4620943 on a Saturday.
