I have been working out more and my nursing job has changed to a more physical position. I have lost 30 lbs and looking for to beating this plateau and slamming my weight loss goals. I remember as I work out each day that I am a ROCKSTAR.... Tue, 4 Jun 2013 23:02:23 EST Diet Sabotage http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5360906 480 297

I am not going to blame someone else for the choices I make with my food. I am the one who chose's to eat it. In this day and age, you can ask for food to be prepared a certain way at restaurants, read ingredients, and even fast food chains have calories and nutritional information listed. This reminds me of the movie " Super Size Me". Turlock ate McDonalds everyday, for every meal, and ate the super size if they asked him if he would want to get... Sun, 19 May 2013 09:29:56 EST Finally closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5358018 It is a long story as to how I gained 40lbs, but the long and short of it is that I started working as a nurse, had crazy schedules and not the kindest co-workers.. " Eat their young mentality". I don't know why some have to behave like that, but it is an embarrassment to the profession. I also have a husband in the military who has been deployed 4 times, put raising kids with that and you just start to eat your stress away.

I went to a wedding in August for a buddy of my husba... Wed, 15 May 2013 23:20:58 EST Shaking it up a bit http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5257905 OK, so what do I need to do to shake up my workout and get past my plateau. I have started it in some way I have recently changed my weight workout, by setting a different body part for each day. I try and do some sort of cardio each day, even if it is a slow walk at the mall. It is very frigid cold in CT now and I will not walk my dog. I hate the cold and don't tolerate it anymore. I like snow, it is fun, but if it is just cold and there is nothing to do, forget it. I have also set up ... Wed, 20 Feb 2013 19:47:17 EST If weight wasn't a number http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5243162 If I never stepped on a scale and had no magazine covers with bone thin women with beautiful skin and hair, I would say that I would need to feel comfortable with myself. Self esteem has always been an issue for me, and millions of other women. It isn't that feel I am not good enough, it is that I always feel that there is room for improvement. I would feel healthy if I could run and not feel winded after 2 minutes. I would feel good if could hike a mountain and not be sore the next few... Fri, 8 Feb 2013 18:29:37 EST Half way there. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5217605 Ok, I stepped on the scale in September 2012 and was at my all time heaviest. I felt disgusting, bloated, fatigued and worse than anything, my self esteem was at a low. I had some unmanaged stress that I was trying to deal with but was failing miserably. Work stress, caring for an elderly mother and still trying to run a household. I just kept going on auto pilot until I crashed. I stayed in bed for about a week sick and tired. Then I slowly started moving, that meant getting showered an... Mon, 21 Jan 2013 20:29:07 EST New Year's Resolution http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5207272 My resolution this year is to not beat myself up if I don't get something done one day. If I don't exercise, but I did a lot of walking with errands and housework, I count it as exercise. I make it a point to go up and down the stairs several times to bring things to proper places. I exercise during laundry or dishes, even when I am cooking. I recite this to myself as I eat and exercise. If I bite it I write it. And, if I move it I groove it.
I am also a fan of "Flylady" it is a ... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 19:40:40 EST Wasted Time http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5051670 It is amazing the amount of time we have in a day. 24 hours, every day, for 365 days a year. It doesn't change ever. We feel our days are shorter in the winter, when we lose daylight. However, it is still a 24 hour day.
If we think about basic math and account for our time in advance, as we would a financial budget it might actually make sense to me. Budgeting has not always been a strong point for me, however, I am not a spendthrift, nor am I miserly. I just think about it at the... Sun, 9 Sep 2012 22:03:42 EST
