So for the past couple of weeks my routine has been more off and on than I'd like. I've been decent with sticking to my food plan, but my exercise hasn't been as consistent. With my new school and work schedule, I really HAVE to get up on time in order to stay on schedule throughout the day. When I get off schedule something unfortunately gets bumped off the to-do list, and unfortunately that something is usually my workout. It's not something I do on purpose, but work for school and work for... Tue, 17 Dec 2013 23:01:16 EST Anterior Pelvic Tilt & My Plan to Fix It Naturally! I've been on this weight loss journey for about a month and a half now, and while I've started to see some results I've also noticed my rate of weight loss slowing. I have a feeling that is due to several issues (I've been missing out on sleep for the past couple of weeks, not quite making it to 8 glasses of water a day, and experience a little more stress than usual - happy stress but stress none the less). There is also something physical going on that is affecting my ability to push myself... Fri, 13 Dec 2013 13:06:13 EST Terrified and Frustrated... This morning I woke up with tons of energy for meeting the day. I was excited about today's workout (it's treadmill day) and was just finishing up my breakfast. But I kept hearing something weird in the family room, like something small kept falling on the floor or hitting the window. So I armed myself with a broom and wasp spray and headed in to check it out.

There was something like a wasp or hornet or yellow jacket (I don't really know how to tell the difference) on the window o... Mon, 18 Nov 2013 13:20:06 EST A Fatty Favorite Turned Functional Food I have always loved cheese! My family even occasionally likes to torment me with stories of how I used to raid their fridges for cheese and cookie dough when I was little. So it's not surprise that I'd LOVE grilled cheese sandwiches, right?

Until recently though, this was always a fatty undertaking for me, to the point that I stopped making them to avoid all of the calories and fat and sodium I felt I was getting. But it wasn't the sandwich that was the problem. It was me, and my l... Sat, 16 Nov 2013 14:32:33 EST Why Fridays are Special For Me & a Reason to be Thankful Most people love Fridays because they signal the end of the week, a time where people can finally kick their shoes off, let their hair down and hang out with friends and family without having to waking up early the next day. I like Friday for those reasons too, but there are 2 other reasons that Fridays have become super special for me!

My fiance has to be away from home right now...for a very long time. I won't go into detail (another story I'm not quite ready to share yet), but t... Fri, 15 Nov 2013 20:59:04 EST A Fun, Easy, No-Calorie Way to Boost Energy in Your Workouts! Mondays & Wednesdays are important for me. Those are my treadmill & strength training days, and I tend to burn more calories on those days than I do on my other 4 workout days of the week where I follow a guided 9-week program. So it's really important to keep up my energy level on those days so that I can finish strong on the treadmill and get my heart rate up enough to also really burn calories during strength training. One thing I focus on is always pushing myself a little further each tim... Fri, 15 Nov 2013 20:47:26 EST Good News: Halloween Didn't Get Me! So, we have a few bags full of candy in our house. Until today, it sat safely in the pantry and went mostly unnoticed. Yeah, I saw it. But funnily enough I wasn't tempted to sneak any.

Tonight we gave out candy as normal, and not once did I even think about picking a piece out of the bowl and enjoying it for myself. I wasn't even tempted. So proud of myself! I've always had a super sweet tooth, but lately I haven't really had any sweet cravings. So glad Halloween Trick or Treating... Thu, 31 Oct 2013 23:14:05 EST Bad Day Followed by a Pleasant Surprise! So, yesterday wasn't such a great day either. Monday was fantastic, but yesterday I woke up in the weirdest mood. I woke up crying, which isn't like me despite what's been going on at home. My resting heart rate was 75 bpm, also unusual. So I knew it would be a rough day. I also didn't have the energy I normally do.

I let things get in the way...the air conditioning guy came to check the heater (forgot about that) so I didn't exercise as planned, and with the way I was feeling I t... Wed, 30 Oct 2013 21:10:49 EST Bad weekend but GREAT start to the week! Ok, so I COMPLETELY fell off the wagon this past weekend. I had both popcorn and pizza and pigged out. I did work out on Saturday and I did drink nothing but water (no soda or alcohol), but otherwise it was not a good weekend for me. Weekends are always the hardest, because everyone is in relaxation mode and having a good time and I feel like I should do the same. And my "fun" foods are my way of welcoming the weekend.

I can at least report though that today has been a fantastic st... Mon, 28 Oct 2013 21:46:19 EST
