How about you?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6137462 For the first time in over 30 years I have completed my taxes early (ie before April 15th). When I was younger I really enjoyed paying my taxes late, driving to the Post Office and seeing the 'blue cop lights flashing along the late night route to the mail boxes; listening to music blasting along the route by various radio stations that showed up late night for the festivities; I mean -it used to be kind of fun a lot of laughs & singing out loud; just being silly or dressing in a costume, we ... It was scary, I ended up in farmers pond around 10pm, in 20 degree snow conditions, hubby estimates elevation difference from road to pond is abtt 40-feet. My airbag did not deploy, I had my seat belt on, so once I gathered my thoughts, realizing water was coming in the floor, I was able to get out & fortunately the farm pond water was only up to my waste; so in the cold/snow I trudged out, scaled steep... Winter weather kept us busy w/variety of issues at our little bit of WV, mostly unsexy things like leaking new shed that houses our solar batteries/brains; then septic tank failure & search (we finally found it & one of our peach trees had been planted on top of it...).
Things have heated up locally with regard to proposed 42" fracked gas pipeline (Mountain Valley Pipeline) which poses threat to quality of our spring water that comes out ... I had wonderful time in Poconos PA, with a great group of folks for Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles. The worship music was fantastic! I'm hoping they will make CD of the special music & sermons we enjoyed all 8 days. Pocono area is a lot like West Virginia mountains & forests; it was beautiful & reminded me of home at the same time. Unfortunately, at the end I started having small dizzy spells that went away pretty quickly. Drove mom back down to Norfolk VA and stayed few days to catch... Fri, 16 Oct 2015 14:37:18 EST Observing YHWH's Appointed times this fall http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6003134 As some of my Spark Peeps know, I observeYHWH's appointed times established in the book of Genesis and outlined & magnified in scripture, including the Fall Holy Days: Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur/Atonement, Sukkoth/Feast of Tabernacles or Booths, Shemini Atzeret/Eighth - Last Great Day. He was a band geek, so he had great time w/all his fellow band mates, the majorettes, and even a few old cheerleaders, LOL! Unfortunately I was nursing a cold w/an eye infection -so not at the top of my game.

I managed to avoid all of the deserts and alcoholic beverages; my taste buds just did not have any cravings for them; so food wise I kept on track/plan.
... Cleaned more apples & did apple cobbler with raisins & walnuts, so will see how that turns out this evening! Decided to also tackle the pantry when I went back there I found an exploded can of spaghetti sauce.... Yep, apparently there are some old cans of stuff that made it here from California - that are in need of purging. Not a fun task, but much needed.

-mim Sun, 13 Sep 2015 10:06:53 EST YEAH! It was sooooo delightful and astonishing to see him. I wish I could have taken a photo of him. I've been thinking about him all day; wondering what he might be doing at this time of day; was he sick? or what; then thought about all the blackberry brambles along the creek and the fields next to the road.
