I have been bouncing back & forth between the same 3-5 pounds for a few weeks now.

I feel like I am working SO hard, following all the rules, and yet the scale is not moving. I usually just wing it each day and do whatever I feel like doing- no plan, no schedule, no consistency.

Well, this month I am getting myself organized and ready to go. Luckily this is mostly thanks to April (DETERMINEDAPRIL) and her 345 plan to do Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred together. They have also been fit & skinny even after both having multiple babies. I have NEVER had anyone to talk to about it all that "understood"! So I don'... Thu, 25 Jul 2013 10:57:49 EST mega stress causing fights my Hubby & I had a rough night last night. Stress levels in our house are sky high right now. And unfortunately, once the stress sets in, so does my lack of self-confidence. I get worked up about every little thing and he and I had a full blown fight last night. I won't get into details but things are better today. He and I tend to knock heads when we are both stressed. It sucks, but luckily he gets mad, walks away, I follow, I cry (always!), we talk, and it's over. It sucks- but at least it'... Wed, 24 Jul 2013 11:27:58 EST getting back to it & some Pinterest motivation Had a rough / emotional end to my week last week and pretty much disconnected from the world on Friday. I still tracked my food (for the most part) and stayed on track, but wow it felt so good to get away from the world. I must be one of those people who are ok with not being "connected" alllllll the time with others. I think this stems from my childhood.

My family use to take summer vacations to the lakes in New Hampshire and rent a little cabin in the woods on a lake. No TV, no ... Tue, 23 Jul 2013 12:07:40 EST feeling down & out Hubby has been searing for a job now for a few weeks. He had a great interview on Wednesday and was sure he was going to get the job, He found out this morning that he didn't. Apparently the man said they wished that had 2 positions to fill so they could hire him. UGH.. so close! Hopefully they will remember him when another job comes along, but he needs to find a job NOW, not in a few months or years.

Life SUCKS! So even though lately the scale & I are not seeing eye to eye, something must be working.

I must be shrinking. Pretty much all my summer shorts are too big. I can literally take them off without unbuttoning and unzipping them. It's great!

All of the clothes went from being way to tight to comfortable/getting a little to baggy.

I call this a victory! Even if the scale & I aren't agreeing!

244 Wed, 17 Jul 2013 10:53:45 EST to hot to exercise? It is brutal outside today! With one of my major migraine triggers being heat, I think I will forgo the workout this afternoon and just worry about staying cool and not getting a migraine.

I really want to workout, but I also REALLY don't want a headache!

It sucks, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe I can get on the elliptical for a few minutes while dinner is cooking. a few minutes is better than nothing I guess!

Tue, 16 Jul 2013 15:04:24 EST stalling on the scale I feel like I am stalling on my weight loss.

I lowered my calorie intake (changed my loss per week in the calculations to 3 pounds) a few weeks ago and have been struggling ever since. I am still loosing weight, but I feel like I am working 10 times harder for less weight to be dropping off.

I can tell a difference, but am annoyed at the lack of results from the scale (I know the scale isn't the end all of results but it helps keep me motivated!)

Am I maybe ... I am only really getting myself back on track today!

here's a quick recap:

Last Wednesday (7/3) my hubby lost his job! Sucks, but we are working thought it and he is actively looking for a new one. It's hard since I have been at the same job for over 10 years and he can't seem to find a good job. I want to help, and he gets frustrated (with the situation, not me). ugh... not a great way to start our holiday weekend together.

4th July- st... Wed, 10 Jul 2013 10:03:21 EST NSV & blessing in disguise Non-Scale Victories:

Even though I know the scale is moving down, it was a nice reminder this morning when I tried on some shorts that were previously way to tight to be comfortable in. They FIT! they are still a little tight, but not so much that I wouldn't wear them!
244
Also- the shorts I have been wearing for awhile are getting way to big! I tried the 20 minute fat blaster and it was ok (at least I felt a little sore the next day from the squats) and yesterday I did the 20 minute yogilates video which was basically a waste of time. Tue, 25 Jun 2013 11:01:42 EST broken elliptical update Hubby looked it over & took it apart and he & my father-in-law think they can fix it. They just need a part. They think it was damaged when we got it, but just took this long to finally give out. (Totally not my fault which I see clearly now! ) However according to paperwork parts should be covered for 3 years under warranty so now we need to deal with NordicTrack to see if they will fulfill this. I read some online reviews that basically said good luck getting them to do anything, so we will... Me.. well I am not a fan!

I have tried it twice and just can't get into it. It's to thick to be yogurt in my opinion, more like a sour cream consistency and even taste. Unless I'm putting in on my taco salad, it's just not for me.

I can see the benefits of it (more protein, less calories & fat) and it seems like a great alternative for cooking & baking.
