I gained 4-5lbs back and am feeling less toned than I was before at the same weight. I have only let up on my workouts slightly, but I know the major issue is my diet.

I think I started to have the thin person mindset and forgot that if I want to reach my goal I have to continue to be mindful of what I am shoveling into my mouth.( I have had A LOT of candy lately).

I am trying to figure out what I can do to keep... Tue, 4 Jun 2013 18:02:04 EST The payoff! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5362093 After 4 months of working out, I've officially lost 17lbs! I am motivated to continue the changes I have made and drop the last 6 lbs!

The most surprising part of the journey has been how losing the weight helped highlight other areas that were being neglected and had given me the motivation and the confidence to address and deal with those areas of my life. Mon, 20 May 2013 10:19:27 EST Finally! Progress:-) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5326465 I found my secret weapon, Spin class! I was feeling like I had hit a plateau and then I started going to spin class 2-4x per week. I am seeing the difference. I finally got back into some of my old clothes and am on my way to hitting my target weight. I have 12 lbs to go, but can already see the difference from January to the present. (see pic)

I am planning on keeping up with my spin classes as well as adding an extra 30 mins per day to my routine. I have started to slack a little... Wed, 17 Apr 2013 13:04:14 EST Struggling to stay positive http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5299803 So I am reading ALL the articles and getting feedback about the best ways to lose this last 10 lbs. In 2.5 months I have lost about 9 lbs which while good, isn't as much as I thought I could lose based on my activity level and diet.

I try to be really diligent about writing down all of my food, but I must be underestimating or something because I have not lost any weight in a while and have stepped up my workouts. I think the fact I am growing increasingly discouraged doesn't help.... Mon, 25 Mar 2013 17:18:52 EST Have I started to plateau? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5276333 I weighed myself this morning and have maintained the 139lbs from a little under two weeks ago. I am keeping up with my workouts but feel like the number on the scale seems to be stuck!

I have read differing opinions about how many calories I should eat to lose weight and try to stick pretty close to the range on my food tracker. I only have a month left and am getting a little nervous that what I have been doing, might not be enough to reach my goal (or get with in throwing dista... Wed, 6 Mar 2013 18:18:25 EST Week 6, 8lbs lost! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5260162 It has been an up and down journey over the last 6 weeks, but as slow as it has felt, the scale doesn't lie! I am officially 8lbs down from where I was at the beginning of January!!!

I have read that the first 6 weeks is when your body is adjusting to the increased activity and better diet and that after that most people experience quicker weight loss. I have exactly 6 weeks until my vacation and am hoping that I can either match or exceed this 6 weeks in terms of weight loss. That... Fri, 22 Feb 2013 14:47:45 EST Totally went off the deep end:-( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5240724 I had been trying to slowly work toward a juice fast by making veggie juice for breakfast and eating as normal. The last few days I tried to increase the juice to account for breakfast and lunch. I was doing pretty well and feeling good about how things were going... Then yesterday, my husband's birthday happened and I lost all self control. I ate everything I shouldn't have and drank more than I planned. I probably downed 2,500 calories and that is over 1000 more than my meal plan calls for.... Wed, 6 Feb 2013 20:38:20 EST Thanks for all the positive vibes! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5233580 I was feeling really down earlier this week, but the positive comments helped reaffirm that I am on the right track. I had a great workout this afternoon and have my first ever aerial yoga class tonight. I am really excited. I have never attempted yoga before.

I am seeing some positive changes in other areas of my life as a result of my commitment to get healthier. I have forced myself to join group classes which I would never do before. I going to a great arm and abs class on Satu... Fri, 1 Feb 2013 17:50:34 EST Focusing on Health this week, rather than weight. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5230012 I have to admit, I am feeling really disappointed today. I have been going to the gym consistently, eating within my allotted calorie/ nutrition plan and taking weekly classes and nightly walks. I have actually gained a pound back! I know muscle weighs more than fat (blah, blah, blah), but it doesn't help when I know how hard I am working and I gain rather than lose.

To that end, I have decided while I do care about the weight that I am losing, this week I will have to focus on the... Wed, 30 Jan 2013 10:12:28 EST Harder week, but there is a bright spot! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5222904 This week was a little disappointing for me from the perspective of how much I exercised. I had pretty good momentum going Monday but knew that I would have limited exercise on Tuesday due to a busy schedule and not being at work. My gym is close to my job and I usually workout during lunch or after work. I have also been fighting a cough all month and this week it seemed to be worse. Wednesday and Thursday were not great cardio days for me, as I only walked my puppy which while good, isn't... Fri, 25 Jan 2013 11:05:56 EST Another week down! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5213432 I was a cardio fool this week and have been feeling a lot better as a result. I have only lost 1.5lbs, but that is getting me closer to my goal! 20.5 more lbs to go!

I am so happy that I have had some success. This gives me the motivation I needed to keep it up. I went to the gym every( week)day this week. I also took extended walks with my husband and our puppy 2x. Wish me luck! Fri, 18 Jan 2013 18:53:47 EST Baby steps to a better body... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5200786 Day 3 of New Year’s Resolution.

I got off to a slow start on going from my current 147lb “Bertha” body to a more svelte “Beyonce” body by April 1st.

So far this week, I have done 76mins of cardio and am scheduled for another 30 mins + strength training today. I have brought my lunch 2 days now and hope to keep up my momentum.

I realized earlier this week, that I have surpassed my heaviest weight and would really love to get back to 130lbs by April 1st.
