I can not imagine what would cause someone to kill 20 innocent children. I stopped watching the news coverage on it because my heart could not bear it anymore. I pray for the families affected and cannot imagine ever losing any of my children especially to such a senseless act of violence. It really breaks my heart that instead of celebrating the wonderous Christmas occasion, these families will be mouring the loss of their "an... Fri, 14 Dec 2012 23:28:26 EST Random Thoughts http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5091090 I have been smoke free for over 2 weeks now!! Rock on! (Okay, it has been 14 days, 10 hours and 27 mins, but that is still over 2 weeks!) And I have saved over $120, not that I have seen that money, but it wasn't spent killing myself. I did put a little extra in the grocery buggy this week :)

The Weight Watchers commercial featuring Jessica Simpson sounds like she is reading straight from the teleprompter. Sounds very forced and I am really starting to hate that commercial. And I... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 10:15:37 EST Updating Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5088477 It has been almost 3 months since I got back on the wagon so I figured I would update some goals, make a few more. Next week is my 39th birthday and there are some goals I want to complete over the next year. Some are diet/fitness related, some are personal related.

Short Term:

* Go from Obese BMI to Overweight BMI- I am so close to this one and I keep yo-yoing with the same few pounds here lately. Time to get on it. I need to lose 5lbs to get here!! Hoping to reach th... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 23:15:01 EST Little Secrets http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5083596 So I have a confession to make. I didn't want to make a grand announcement in case I failed as I so often do. I still may fail but I have a great start and I think this time will be different.

Last Sunday, I smoked my last cigarette. As of right now I have been smoke free for 8 days, 10 hours and 45 mins. The longest I have ever gone without 1 puff from a cigarette. All other quits that I have attempted and failed, I would have had a cheating puff by now. This time has been so m... We decided that we would hit part of the Appalachian Trail since it isn't too far from home (about 2.5 hrs away) and we want to start "practicing" for our section hike next Spring. Sun, 30 Sep 2012 14:38:35 EST Good Times http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5070716 Another great hike day. I am so thankful that the hubby and I have jobs that allow us to get as much as do. Today was a family hike day so I wanted to keep it short and simple so my son wouldn't whine too much. No whining at all today and when we got home he even said "Mom, I had a really good time." Wow! He had fun and it didn't involve a video game. Goal achieved!

On the weekends, we like to go a little further from home and hit a trail off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Today's cho... Sat, 22 Sep 2012 19:14:58 EST Catching Up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5068399 Once again I am behind on the whole blogging thing. It has been over 2 weeks. Yikes.

Last week had to go out of town for work, which resulted in me being a bad girl and gaining 3.8lbs in a week!! But I am happy to say that getting back on the wagon and back to logging my food correctly and I had a 3lbs loss this week. So only 0.8 leftover.

Haven't got in much hiking over the past 2 weeks because I was out of town and because of the stupid rain. Last Friday we went to t... Thu, 20 Sep 2012 21:51:48 EST My Feet Hate Me, They Said So http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5045891 Well another hike today. Today we went to Crowders Mtn State Park. I have never been there so didn't know what to expect. We planned a 5 mile path that would loop us back to the parking lot. Today we decided to do Kings Pinnacle which is the highest peak in the park. And I must say it was all up hill with a tad bit of rock climbing on the side. But the view was so worth the effort of what was 2 miles straight up, it seemed. There were a lot of breaks for me today going up because my knee w... Wed, 5 Sep 2012 17:05:54 EST Bored Silly Ramblings http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5041407 So I decided to take today and just rest and relax and catch up with the stuff I wanted to watch on Netflix (finished off my Surviorman series and he is soooo cute). Read some blogs. Scolded the psychotic cat, watched the dog sleep. About ready to give up the relaxing and go clean. I thought it was around 6pm and I could go cook supper and clean the kitchen. Nope it is only 4pm. Having some muscle spasms in my left calf, not painful kind of tickly and I sit and watch it twitch a bit. I h... Sun, 2 Sep 2012 16:38:59 EST Does This Make Me Look Like a Condom??? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5040777 Yesterday we went for a hike at Mt. Mitchell. I wanted to get a nice long hike in today. We have been averaging about 2 miles on our little short weekly hikes. Today I wanted to see how far we could go. We packed us some sandwiches along with our trail snacks so we could have a picnic lunch on the trail. I was hoping for 10 miles which would be 4.5 miles out and the back then going up the summit of Mt. Mitchell and back down. I told hubby we would just take it nice and slow today. We were... Sun, 2 Sep 2012 04:15:39 EST Weekly Weigh In and Geez, the Humidity http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5038045 Weigh in this week: -1.2lbs. Wish it would have been more, but I will definitely take a loss instead of a gain. Only 3.2 more lbs til first goal of no longer being clinically obese.

Went back out again today to South Mountain. Willingly lol. I was excited to go again, but when I walked out the door, I was hit by a wall of just oppressive muggy air. The temps were in the mid 70's but the humidity was 98%. Everything just felt off and I felt like I was in slow motion today. By t... Thu, 30 Aug 2012 21:44:28 EST Found My Groove and Pretty Pics http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5033563 So I have finally found my exercise groove. Thank Heavens!! I will no longer be bored to tears on a treadmill or stationary bike. No more walking in circles. No more trying to run. I got up willingly this morning and went with no fuss!

Today is hubby's birthday so we headed to the woods to spend some time together. He works night shift S-Th so not much time for today. We went to South Mtn state forest about 45 mins from the house. This will probably become my favorite spot. Satur... Mon, 27 Aug 2012 18:05:31 EST Not Much Kicking Today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5032401 Today has been a rather slow day, not much happening around here. Slept in this morning which is a rare treat for me lately. Figured after yesterday, I wouldn't be able to walk. Only my left heel was a little sore, but this is normal for me anyway (old ankle fracture and heel stress fracture accompanied by recurring plantar fascitis). Once I get that foot to moving, it is usually fine and it was. I figured my legs would feel like they are falling off. Not even a twinge of soreness. My shoul... Sun, 26 Aug 2012 22:44:23 EST Our Trip in the Woods with a few pics http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5030939 So I finally found an exercise I can do and enjoy. We headed up to Dupont State Forest today for a nice little hike. It's about 2hrs away from home. The hubby's birthday is Monday and this is what he wanted for his birthday, a nice family outing and dinner out.

These are way easy trails that are gravel (more like roads) but with tons of hills. Sat, 25 Aug 2012 20:43:46 EST First Goal Almost Met and Being Afraid to Lose Weight http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5029428 Well I have almost made it to my first goal: Move from Obese BMI to Overweight BMI. Some how I got my numbers all mixed up and thought it would be 201 or 203 but it is actually 208. I weighed in this morning at 212.6, so I don't have far to go! And I can almost see Onederland and hopefully will be there before the holiday food rush!

Yesterday was a horrible food day for me. Munchie city. I didn't even eat a "meal" yesterday, I just wanted to snack. I stayed in my calorie range bu... Fri, 24 Aug 2012 14:08:40 EST Catching Up and a Wee Bit Depressed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5025491 Been awhile since I actually posted anything about me. So far after 4 weeks I am down 12 lbs and have lost 3.5 inches all over. My weekly weigh in will be tomorrow since I have to work tomorrow night and wont get to weigh Thursday morning. I have probably lost more inches than that because I didn't measure until I was well back on the wagon. Food and water are going good, except for an occasional off day, but I have been jumping right back on the wagon. Our city hosted the American Legion... Tue, 21 Aug 2012 21:27:30 EST The Value of a "Before" Picture http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5017045 Take a picture right now. Doesn't matter if you have lost 5,10,15lbs already. Go. Take. One.

I really really wish I had a before picture of my husband. A full body one. I would really like to show off his progress. We have been on the spark journey together for the past few years. We both fall off the wagon at the same time, we both get back on at the same time. He tries all the new recipes I find. He eats what I eat ( except my beloved collard greens), adding more snacks or a d... Wed, 15 Aug 2012 18:50:58 EST Good Cravings and Collard Greens http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5002625 I am still here, hanging around, reading blogs, spinning the old wheel. I just really haven't had that much to say this week. Nothing interesting happening in my life. Home, work, home. That's about it and that is fine with me. I am not a drama mama.

I am starting to get those healthy cravings again. The past few days it has been collard greens. I know I have said it before but I could eat my weight in collard greens. I finally got my collard greens today and did they hit the ... Sun, 5 Aug 2012 22:17:19 EST Weekly Weigh In and other thoughts http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4999933 I missed my weigh in yesterday because of work so I weighed this morning. -4 more lbs!! Yay! That is -9 so far. Food this week has been okay, had one day over and the next day was under so I guess it balanced out. Water has been great. Exercise virtually non-existent. I am not so much worried about my exercise right now as I am my food intake and water. On calls at work, I know in this heat I am expending some calories, especially lifting people who weigh more that me, carrying bags, push... Fri, 3 Aug 2012 18:56:20 EST Official weekly weigh in and other stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4990468 So I forgot to post my official weekly weigh in (which was Thursday). I am down 5 lbs!! I know most of it is water weight, but I will take it.

Was hard for me to get back on track Thursday after our trip. I had the munchies all day. I think it is PMS more than the trip. Ladies you know what I am talking about. And we also made the mistake of making beignets for my 12 yo. I found a Cafe du Monde mix a few weeks ago in the Market at Charleston. Well I can guarantee next time it ... Sat, 28 Jul 2012 12:28:23 EST Road Trip!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4987822 Oh what a day! We had a great day yesterday. Charleston is only about 3-3 1/2 hrs from us (depending on traffic and it is all interstates), so we can turn it into a nice long day trip. So we were only gone for the day. It is very expensive to stay the night in Charleston and most of the beaches only have rental houses or one very expensive hotel. The cheaper hotels are so far out or just not something I would stay in. So we can usually leave early enough to have a full day and get back home... Thu, 26 Jul 2012 12:25:06 EST A Most Excellent Discovery.....Maybe http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4983790 So we made up more ff/sf pudding cups this evening. Another round of chocolate and a round of cheesecake. OMG the cheesecake taste like vanilla cake batter. And without the risk of salmonella!! Nothing really like cheesecake. I am resisting the urge to eat all four of the 1/2 c servings and lick the bottoms out of them. I have always been the kind I would rather have the batter than the cake. While I am happy for the discovery, I am also dismayed because this could really mess me up on one ... Mon, 23 Jul 2012 19:46:00 EST Plan, Plan, Plan http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4982423 That's the name of the game today. Been trying to figure out a menu for the week. Plan ahead so I will stay on track. I don't want to continue to eat the same old things over and over or I will get bored. I do have my favorite go to meals that I will stick with until I get bored with those. Thankfully I have enough of those I can rotate them around.

I have also been goal planning and thinking of rewards. I have never really rewarded myself for goals accomplished (even though I s... We have all heard the term before and it seems to be my mantra today. While goal planning, I have to keep reminding myself to keep it simple, take baby steps and don't get ahead of myself when I am just (re)starting.

I am back again, my fourth time around. But I do keep coming back. This time I plan to stay. I swear I will be at my goal weight next year when I turn 40. Sat, 21 Jul 2012 19:38:18 EST Slacking Already-Rant http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4669475 WTH is wrong with me???? 9 days into the new year and already slacking. Not going to lose this weight that way. Eating I have pretty much back under control as far as the sweets, snacking and such. Back to fruits and veggies for snacking. Water is a bit of a challenge lately for some reason. I have always liked drinking water. Ever since I quit smoking, I have found that I want more and more coffee. Now I know that for some people coffee is a trigger when quitting smoking, but for me it is... Mon, 9 Jan 2012 18:31:37 EST New Year, New Me Smoke Free http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4655111 My first blog post of the New Year. I am behind a few days, but been feeling a wee bit under the weather since I ate meat!! Nasty stuff on my digestive system but it was yummy to eat. I have logged a lot of bathroom time since my meat binge. I have however lost 4 of the 8lbs that I gained over the holidays/quitting smoking. Think a lot was water weight as the swelling of hands and feet have gone down. But I will take it!! Other than my slip, the quitting smoking is still going well. A tota... Tue, 3 Jan 2012 19:54:39 EST Surviving Christmas......barely http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4641785 Well I survived Christmas, barely. Eating right went out the window while on vacation, but I knew it was going to anyway. I did however walk continuously for almost 7 hours, shopping PIgeon Forge and the walking downtown Gatlinburg. I gained 4 lbs over the holidays, but I think that is mostly water retention because my hands and feet are very swollen. Been drinking tons of water today to flush the toxins. I also ate meat while on vacation and have a horrible upset stomach ever since then. ... Wed, 28 Dec 2011 13:56:11 EST Finding Balance.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4635546 I think I lost it in the Christmas candy!!!!

I am 9 days into my Quit and feeling a little off balance with everything. I have gained 5 lbs in those 9 days. Hoping that some is water weight because my feet are horribly swollen the past 2 days. My eating has been way off and I have not been logging like I should. I am cutting myself a little slack because of the Quit, but I seriously think I am getting a little carried away with it. I have been exercising, but I am sure it is not e... Thu, 22 Dec 2011 20:20:44 EST Day 6 of the Quit http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4632040 Well made it through 6 days completely smoke free. How awesome is that??? Cruising right along, I don't want a cigarette, but I still do get cravings which are mostly memories and I catch myself reaching for my cigarettes and well they aren't there. In the quitting process, I have eaten A LOT of clementines. They keep my hands busy with the peeling and my mouth busy with the chewing.

The scale has not moved in almost a month, WTH???? I have however lost 5 inches all over. My wei... Mon, 19 Dec 2011 21:26:35 EST Day 5 of the Quit http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4630670 Today has been by far the worst day of my quit. I think a large part of it is that my sleep has been off since quitting. Hard to fall asleep and stay asleep all night. This is part of the withdrawal process and it will get better. I have been trying to take naps when I feel absolutely exhausted , but keep it less than an hour so I can sleep at night.
It seems like today has been a constant craving, one right after the other. Very unfocused today and feeling scattered all over the place... Sun, 18 Dec 2011 21:54:28 EST Day 3 of the Quit http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4628366 I am just puttering right along in my quit. It has been so much easier this time, maybe because I really want it this time. No cheating, no back sliding, just riding the craves and going on with life. When I get up tomorrow morning I will be half way through hell week. I am hanging out a lot over at www.quitnet.com It has been a heaven send and the chat room keeps my mind and hands occupied. There are some really great supportive people over there.

Food intake has been so-so. I... Fri, 16 Dec 2011 17:29:06 EST Kicking the habit.....again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4623447 Today was a pretty good day. Got my walk/jog in early today. It was freezing cold so that encouraged me to go a little faster. I did an extra 10th of a mile today. Not much but better than last time. I ate before I went and ended up with horrible stomach cramps.

Food was decent today. Have had a lot of coffee I don't normally have. Had plenty of fresh veggies today. The big thing is I logged my food and I stayed in ranges.

Tomorrow I will quit smoking...again. This ... Mon, 12 Dec 2011 23:17:51 EST I love a good day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4620401 Today has been a good day overall. I didn't get a lot of this accomplished though. Wanted to do a good house cleaning today, but that hasn't happened yet. I may still get to it later after Hubs goes to work, then again it may wait til Monday. I have to work tomorrow, so that means I have to do some laundry at some point and time today and wash a uniform.

I experimented with lentils today. Haven't ever had one. Made a taco like "meat" with them and rice and some onions, green pep... Sat, 10 Dec 2011 15:46:51 EST Christmas Shopping Done-Almost http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4619635 So the hubs and I went and done the majority of our Christmas shopping today. Took all day but I am glad to say all I have left is to stuff money in some cards and buy one more video game. Now I have presents under the tree. YAY! Hubby and I are foregoing gifts to each other this year since we are heading to Pigeon Forge, TN the day after Christmas to take the kids shopping and let them spend their Christmas money. I want to wait and get some things that we need up there instead of buying g... Fri, 9 Dec 2011 21:39:05 EST 2011 Ponderings http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4616460 I realized today that I could have been at my goal weight by now. 46 But that is no one's fault but my own. I fell off the wagon back around April/Mayish and didn't get back on until the end of October when I had finally gained enough weight back that my clothes weren't fitting. I am just thankful that I hadn't gained it ALL back. Not to say that this year has been a total wash. I have learned a lot of things:

** I know that I can't eyeball anything and I have to measu... Wed, 7 Dec 2011 13:27:54 EST I'm a Slacker http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4153768 I have been really slack the past 3 weeks, not logging food, not drinking all my water and slacking off here and there going to the gym. But I still managed to lose 3lbs. Haven't been eating horribly, just haven't been eating as well as I have been or should be. So today is my last hoo-rah, (girl date night and BBQ and popcorn are on the menu!!) and tomorrow I am getting my oversized butt back on track. I have 13 weeks until the wedding and 7 weeks til my dress has to go in for final altera... Sat, 9 Apr 2011 13:37:08 EST I am Bubbling Mess Thanks to My Friends http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4131291 So I finally set a wedding date.......15 weeks away!!! Well a little less than 15 weeks now. We will be married in Daytona Beach on July 14th. We are visiting Scott's grandparents that week and I have always wanted a beach wedding so I thought it would be the perfect time. We have been engaged over a year now and I have put off setting a date due to money (geez its expensive) and well I just like to procrastinate in general. So last week, I got the idea to have a nice little cozy seaside wed... Thu, 31 Mar 2011 10:17:26 EST Progress and Setbacks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4110693 Ok I am going to pot. Sunday was a BIG splurge day for me, pizza and pepsi. My first soft drink in 2 months (I'm back to soft drink free now). Last night a chocolate milk shake and today hot dogs and onion rings. Time to get back on the wagon.

So a few updates since I haven't blogged in forever.

Weight loss- FINALLY out of the 220's. So ecstatic. I am over 1/3 of the way through my weight loss. And I have been working hard at the gym even though my food hasn't been sp... Tue, 22 Mar 2011 17:48:21 EST Trying Again Tomorrow http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4089489 So my quitting day didn't go as planned. Woke up craving something fierce, ended up having a fight with Scott and jumping down his throat because I was being a withdrawal bitch and caved in when I couldn't take it any more. But on the lighter side, I have had only 10 cigarettes today compared to my normal 40. Yes I am a 2 pack a day on average smoker, at least. So tonight I have been scouring the internet for more helpful and useful quit smoking tips, suggestions etc. And I have pretty much ... Sun, 13 Mar 2011 23:19:10 EST Confessions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4087324 I am a smoker. There I confessed. Tomorrow I will start my new life as a non-smoker. I have accomplished so much in almost 2 months that I now know that I can do what I set my mind to. I have tried before unsuccessfully I might add, but this time I feel that it's the right time. The whole mind set thing. Just like my new healthy lifestyle, it's has to be the right mind set. So tomorrow I start and hopefully I won't alienate too many of my friends because of the withdrawal bitch I hope I don't... Sat, 12 Mar 2011 22:39:14 EST Lent Day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4080030 Day 1 went well. No sweets, no facebook. Feel like I am always forgetting something by not logging on to Facebook. No crops to harvest or animals to feed and no gossip to catch up on. Can't believe some of the statuses some people post, airing it all out for everybody to see. I deleted the FB app off my iphone and deleted my bookmarks from my laptop just to avoid the temptation.

Got my gym time in even though I had a splitting migraine. I had coffee the other night on that loooo... Wed, 9 Mar 2011 20:59:05 EST Temptations and Lent http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4077178 So playing ping pong with 2 lbs again. At this rate I don't think I am ever gonna get out of the 220's. Have been working my butt off at they gym. Did 2 whole hours today on cardio, strength and abs. I have been back sliding on my food a bit, but nothing to an extreme. PMS week was really bad with sweet cravings and I did give in to temptation. So tomorrow is the start of Lent, and seeing as how I observe Lent, I am officially giving up all my sweets, and even my FF chocolate pudding and Fa... Tue, 8 Mar 2011 20:27:35 EST Nearing a Mini- Meltdown http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4064543 So tonight I am ill. I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day and all I do is work, plan food, eat, go to the gym, clean house and get a little sleep. My house always seems to be cluttered and in need of a cleaning. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE PICK UP STUFF AND PUT IT AWAY????? It was much easier when I lived alone that's for sure. I am of the OCD type and its driving me nuts that every thing is not in order. So this weekend I am launching a massive clean up around here and it better stay that... Thu, 3 Mar 2011 21:26:09 EST No Snappy Titles Today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4061034 Just a quickie before work. Went to gym and worked my butt off on the treadmill for 20 mins and the 30-min circuit they have with cardio and weight machines. I stink and need a shower. EWWWWW! Love my new new shoes, my feet feel fantastic.
Food has been ok, need to get some groceries and cook up some meals. Find it much harder when there isn't any ready to go stuff at the house. Went out and ate at Golden Corral for lunch. I was about terrified to eat, so took little portions of stuff t... Mon, 28 Feb 2011 22:28:40 EST What I Have Learned in 6 Weeks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4052788 As I am nearing the end of week 6 here at SP, there are a few things I have come to realize.

-You can eat healthy and yummy at the same time. Haven't had a bad meal from sparkrecipes yet!

-I eat a LOT of egg whites. Protein for me is a MUST in the mornings. We go through 3 dozen every 2 weeks.

- I may not have enough strength or endurance YET, but I can exercise without it killing me

-Just because the scale didn't move in a positive manner doesn't ... Sun, 27 Feb 2011 22:20:20 EST Gained a Lb but lost 3 ins http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4039722 So today was my weigh in day and I gained a pound. So I decided to measure. I need some kind of encouragement and I am a slave to the scale and refuse to throw it out, hide it or ignore it. I lost a total of 3 ins all over in the past week. That's progress to me and makes that measly little pound seem insignificant. But really do wish the scale would MOVE down!!

Measurements so far:

Waist= -5.5
Hips= -3
Upper Arm= -1
Thighs= -2

Total Inches l... Tue, 22 Feb 2011 21:23:51 EST Losing My Mind and Goal Setting http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4037236 Some where over the beginning of the weekend I lost my mind. I decided to purchase my wrinkle baby's brother. So now I have wrinkle boys. And they are too cute for words. Having two rambunctious 13 week old puppies that weigh about 20lbs a piece already is quite interesting. But it has helped Angus's biting/chewing problem tremendously. Of course now it takes twice as long at Petsmart because everyone has to pet them both and ooh and aah over them. They are two totally different puppies in... Tue, 22 Feb 2011 01:07:31 EST I'm Running.....Kind Of http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4026766 So after being bit by the stomach bug over the previous 3-4 days with no exercise whatsoever, I jumped back in today with my C25K and stared over with W1D1. This comes from making excuses all day on why I "couldn't" do it. I'm at work, I might get a call, my toe is still broke......whatever lazy. So I finally just bit the bullet and did it. And I felt good. I decided instead of the walk 90 run 60, I would do the Spark walk/jog training which is walk 4min, run 1min and at one time I wanted to ... Thu, 17 Feb 2011 23:57:27 EST Bye Bye 230's http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4021298 I got bit by the stomach bug and my immune system finally threw in the towel. Haven't eaten well the past two days and the only exercise I have had is running to the bathroom. But was able to keep supper down (homemade veggie soup with stew meat) so will try to go back to normal eating tomorrow.

Starting month 2 of spark today, and I am down 11.4 lbs. Awesomeness!! Goodbye 240's and 230's, I am finally in the 220's (barely...lol). Feels good. Now looking for the 210's in the next ... Wed, 16 Feb 2011 00:00:28 EST
