Now have a small area of it and know to police that area a lot. Planted hosta, and several other plants that have been waiting a long time to be back in the ground. Took in more yard and garden decorations and two of the table umbrellas. Still a lot to do, but think if we get some warm dry days I can get it finished. That makes for a long day and so Jane and I get together for lunch at the Ithaca Bakery and visit. <BR> It was nice to catch up with how things are going with them. I also managed to get in about 1 hour work out before and when hubby and I got home I moved most of our planter inside and pulled dead tomato and squash plants from the grow beds and cut back ... Sat, 18 Oct 2014 22:16:10 EST Farm, ekg, PT, Dare to Lose It was a busy day. <BR> Went to the Salvation Army store and donated several boxes of clothes, on to pharmacy to get hubby's rx, then took him to PT, got groceries while he was there, dropped him off to visit his sister in assisted living, ran to the farm for our veggie share, got a call from him saying that his primary dr. wanted him to come up for an EKG as he had chest pains at PT and they called, dropped hubby off after this and went to Dare to Lose. <img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeopl... The plants come out easily, but the roots run every which way and if you don't get them, you have wasted your time. Also picked the last of the salvageable tomatoes. I sat down and got some bills paid and then did some straightening up in my bedroom. I slept in till almost eleven today. Thu, 9 Oct 2014 18:43:30 EST Stationary Bike + u tube video = workout Tonight I tried a HIIT workout on the stationary bike. <em>324</em> 40 min and I feel I got a good work out. The hardest thing was sitting on a bike seat that long. <em>211</em> <BR> Did 1 load of laundry, made an eggplant lasagna with summer squash,onions, tomatoes, unsalted spaghetti sauce and cheeses. Today I found one of the patio umbrellas, very heavy, that was in the middle of a metal table, also very heavy, twenty feet from where it was. This morning I took Mekko for his monthly shot at our Vet's. As usual he was upset at being in the carrier and urinated in it. We will have to wait to see if his kidneys w ere damaged. <BR> Did laundry, and food prep today. Went where I grew up and took pictures of the falls and then down to the lake . Gorgeous day. <BR> Headed back to town and picked up some groceries and then went for the Dare to Lose Training. It was to miserable to go and stand out and watch the parade for Old Home Days. This is a one weekend celebration that our small town does each year. Sat, 13 Sep 2014 21:55:23 EST CSA farm day and Dare to Lose Today I went to the CSA farm and selected cauliflower, sweet peppers, tomatoes, spinach, mix salad greens, summer squash , cukes, beets, and chard. I picked flowers out in the field and lavender, oregano, mint, and rosemary between the green houses. Then headed to town for Dare to Lose at the fitness center and after that used the pool to walk and stretch out. <BR> I will sleep well tonight. Oh the car smelled so good when I got back in after working out. Those herbs are wonderful scent... Next step it to determine where I will plant shrubs and flowers that are in pots or heeled into the holding bed. Starting to look more and more like fall. <img src=""> Wed, 10 Sep 2014 21:50:06 EST Dare to lose starts tonight The dare to lose program at the fitness center starts tonight and runs for 6 weeks. It is an add on fee and we work out in teams with a trainer twice a week for 90 minutes. A new wrinkle this time is that we are using fitbits to be accountable. For those that did not have them, they ordered them and we had the cost added on. Excited to see some of my work out friends and meet some new people. <img src=""> <BR> This is the fitness cent... When I got home I also weeded 56 feet along the outside of one side of the garden fence. <BR> My sister stopped by and brought some tomatoes and peppers from their garden.
