Lunch is the problem. Not having the right foods to eat and little time to eat in. Each day I tell myself I'm going to make my lunch and each morning I get busy and forget. Tomorrow is 8/27 and I have a new 10 week challenge for myself to help me stay aware. We'll see how it goes. Sun, 26 Aug 2007 23:02:14 EST End of personal challenge--week 6 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=698318 Well my personal challenge is at an end. I have changed my habits some, but I need to keep working at it because on some things I'm still fighting myself so I do not overeat. Also that funny thing called life intervened and walking even such a short time as 20 min. a day was not always possible. I am being consistent with my belly dancing workout though so that is good. I also ended with a 3lb. loss, even with week 5's 1 1/2lb. gain, so I am happy about that. I do feel that I learned alot ab... Sat, 4 Aug 2007 05:08:04 EST My personal challenge update: week 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=677247 Update for 7/28/07.
Lost 3 1/2 lbs.!!! That makes 4 1/2 lbs. in 4 weeks. Not bad. Eating less and doing my belly dancing tape, which is alot of fun and really works. I also took my measurements, while my waist and hips have not changed any, have lost another 1/4in. on my neck. I'll try to keep the momentum going. :) Almost forgot..... looked through my weight book and this is the lowest weight I've been since 6/06!!!!!!!! whoo hooo!! Mon, 30 Jul 2007 04:57:51 EST Very happy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=664970 7/21/07
Am very happy today, on week 3 of my personal challange and lost 3/4lb. to make a pound in two weeks!! Some people may think that's not much but I'm happy with it. Anything that is not a gain is GOOD.
Slow and Steady wins the race :) Sun, 22 Jul 2007 03:15:45 EST walking http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=658625 Started my walking program yesterday, pushed Raine, my grandaughter, 1 mile in her stroller. Even jogged once between telephone poles just to see if I could make it. Woo Hoo! Today is strength training but I might do a little belly dancing too, we'll see. Tue, 17 Jul 2007 23:01:46 EST Another good week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=654843 7/ 15 /07
Well, after staying the same weight wise last week, I lost a quarter lb. this week so for me week 2 was a success. I'm going to try to start on my walking tomorrow to help keep the momentum going, also I got a belly dancing tape from blockbuster.com which is really fun. So we'll see how it goes. Sun, 15 Jul 2007 22:58:41 EST Good week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=642048 July 7th
Well after my scary night, the rest of the week was good. Weigh-in was today and I turtled, which after going to a family bbq on the 4th is a really good thing. So I consider the first week of my challenge a success. Now I just need to keep the momentum going and see if I can lose a bit, but as long as I don't gain, I'll be happy. Sun, 8 Jul 2007 02:41:33 EST Scary night http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=636083 July 3rd.
Had a very scary time last night. I'm extremely anemic and haven't been taking my iron and vitamins daily like I should. They have to be taken with food and I either don't have them with me or I forget at the time. At any rate one of the effects of anemia is heart palpitations. I had a very bad episode last ight when I went to bed my throat closed up and my heart started jumping around all over the place. It was a very long and draining episode, I even took two nitro table... Wed, 4 Jul 2007 04:41:47 EST My personal 45 day challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=632536 July 1st. After months of health fears I have been given a clean bill of health, wanting to keep it that way, I am throwing off all the stress I have been living with and giving myself the 45 days until I go back to work to make some changes that hopefully will become habit like they used to be.
Now that I can exercise I am going to walk at least 20 min. a day, eat more salads and fruit, drink more water and make time for ME each day to unwind. I am going to try to blog my progress ... Sun, 1 Jul 2007 23:02:38 EST
