Sat, 6 Feb 2010 21:32:29 EST Really? Thank you very much! Well, one of the items on my "fix me list" is to learn to accept a compliment.

We've all been there. Someone says, "Oh, don't you look nice today!" or "Isn't that a pretty color on you?" and you smile, but deep down you think that they don't really mean it. Or you talk yourself out of accepting the feedback in the spirit it was given. They couldn't really mean it.

Today was a milestone for me. I was walking with a co-worker and they commented..."You're losing weight." ... Mon, 16 Nov 2009 16:18:41 EST Any Suggestions to Eat Better? We probably won't be getting a new DFAC (dining facility). LOL

Last night attended a cross fit class for the first time. The instructor was terrific. He explained each exercise in detail, then had us perform it until he was confident that we could do it on our own. There were 8 other people in on the session and I almost left before we started. I am VERY uncomforatable around folks I don't know, and there was much "trash ta... Thu, 20 Aug 2009 08:36:44 EST Iraq in August Well, Iraq in August is really HOT. We've had 105-115 degrees for the past month. I've found that I'm drinking 8-12 liters of water everyday. If I don't, I feel lethargic and don't want to go to the gym.
I love that there's Salsa class on Saturdays and Mondays. Sunday is team sports...right now we're playing soccer. Next month is volleyball.
Our chow hall burnt down last week, so we travel 45 min to other bases to get chow. They have a modified area set up, but the food is sketchy...
