So, I've known for a long while I needed to take a magnesium supplement when I was eating right for my body. I'm gluten intolerant and allergic to nuts. Both pretty good sources of magnesium! So, I decided to stop by the pharmacy and grab me a bottle. Horray for taking steps to become healthy! Only problem is, there's no way too officially add the magnesium to the food tracker. You can day you room a supplement, but it doesn't add the mg to your nutrition report. I swear we previously c... Fri, 9 Feb 2018 00:06:14 EST Magnesium Wow, I forgot how bad my magnesium intake is. Namely, it's zero! So, started taking my magnesium pills again. <BR> <BR> Spent a few hours today cleaning my bedroom. Counted that as my exercise so that I wouldn't be too sore for work tomorrow. This'll be the first time I'll be in to work with coworkers since Tuesday of last week because of my pain issues. Wish me luck! Mon, 13 Jan 2014 21:34:40 EST Belated Birthday Dinner Today my parents took the BF and I out for a belated birthday dinner. Well, belated for me but today is my dads birthday. We ended up going to a really good steak house, Ruby River. <BR> <BR> I was thinking that I was going to be millions of calories over. So much butter and cheese and numminess! Sat, 11 Jan 2014 21:05:48 EST First day of exercise. Well, I just did my first deliberate exercising almost since I was last active on Sparkpeople. It was the 11 min cardio chair exercise. <BR> <BR> Good news: I'm not nearly as out of shape now than I was when I initially started in 2012. My breath and heart rate quickened, but not to the point it was painful or really difficult to breath. I was able to mainly keep up with the videos pace. <BR> <BR> Bad news: omgosh! It hurt! A lot! It was super delicious!! But not sure it was worth the calories. A medium is over 600 calories! Ouch! I asked for a small but was told they didn't make it in that size. So, I maybe was a little too careful with what I ate yesterday for Thanksgiving because it ends up that I was 331-600something below my calorie goal. I didn't enter in all my food until this morning and thought I had had enough to eat. I think the thing that kept me under is that I didn't have dessert. I kept telling myself 'Oh, I should put that in my blog' and then just never did. <BR> <BR> Well, to start off with, I am down 3 pounds so far. I worked 8 full hours today and I tell you what!!! There is no way that sitting and standing and sitting and walking and standing and bending and walking and sitting and etc...... is not exercise. I just have no clue as to how I can track that. <BR> <BR> How much I work a week is very varying. I can work as little as 3 hours up to 24 because of my legs. But I swear this is exercise! Thu, 15 Nov 2012 21:16:01 EST Exercise So, per suggestion from SENIMMO, I checked out the sitting workout videos featuring Coach Nicole. Perfect! I got twenty minutes of weight lifting and cardio and felt almost no pain in my leg. I want to make it more than 20, but for right now this will work. After 2 years of not much exercise at all, this will definitely work!! <BR> <BR> I have exercised since my accident, but that was pretty much all through physical therapy before I became allergic to pain medication. That is me hobbling along while leaning on a shopping cart. It was also only 15 mins. Sometimes this is the most I can do to push myself. <BR> <BR> Yes, there was walking and yes there was exertion. I suppose I should give a bit of background as to why I don't use my legs to exercise much and other things about me. <BR> <BR> Back in 2008, I was hit by a drunk driver who had pulled a u-turn on the freeway. It was a head on collision that sent the engine up into the car and onto me. I broke both my legs.
