If I was at goal in December, why am I active now and looking to drop another 10-15 pounds? What did I do wrong to take me from "at goal" to active again? NOTHING! I was 151 when I saw my Dr in December. I was wearing sz 4 jeans and sz 10/12 dresses. Yes I was up to 157 a few weeks ago after carb loading for my HM. Totally normal and acceptable. That is not the reason I went back to active status. Right now I am roughly 152. I'm still in sz 4 jeans and sz 10/12 dresses... Tue, 13 May 2014 13:20:16 EST CRASH! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5663468 I had another one of those moments of awakening....of great reflection.....a 3 moment yesterday.

LOVE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! 224

As I've mentioned in my recent blogs, I've been struggling with the nutrition aspect of my journey since upping my cardio in preparation for the beginning of Half Marathon season. An "A word" ?????? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5658668 OMG it happened! Today, my PT called me "the A word"!! 40

She called me an ATHLETE!! 104

At first it made me smile. Then for a moment I thought, "Wait! She wasn't really talking about me, was she?" But as I continued to listen to what she was saying to me, it hit me. She WAS talking about me!!

But wait! There's MORE! Fri, 28 Mar 2014 13:22:14 EST WHAT A HUGELY SUCCESSFUL DAY!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5656691 I am totally amazed at how quickly my body is responding to the challenges I'm throwing at it! Today was a day full of achievements.

First, I bit the bullet and tackled the weather for my run. I was only scheduled to do 3 miles but I was feeling so good, I decided to do five. Just nine days ago I tackled and nailed my first non stop five mile run of the season, after only being back at it for a week. I took a four month break and focused on ST and flexibility instead. Nine days... Another Perk of ST!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5644523 As those who follow me know, I got seriously into ST last September. I've been a distance runner since 2011 but aside from some initial WL, it didn't do the trick to get me to goal. But I loved running HMs. I loved challenging myself by adding miles. Last summer I actually completed an 18.12 Challenge and a full marathon, as well as several HMs. I had adapted my running to a 4:1 run/walk program and never ran more than 1-2 miles without walking, especially when running outdoors and on h... Mon, 10 Mar 2014 13:47:55 EST And my journey continues..... :-) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5642085 After finally reaching goal in December, I continued with my ST program and clean eating roughly 85% of the time. I hovered around 150-151, which is where my Dr said was my ideal weight based on my muscle tone, height, etc.

Then we went on vacation and my clean eating routine was difficult to follow. In one week I regained nearly 15 pounds! The good news is in three days, upon returning home, I lost 11, and the remaining 4 were gone in a few days later.

What I lear... After nearly 20 years of being Obese then Overweight, I have reached my goal!

Roughly 5 1/2 years ago, when the scale topped out at 198, I realized it was time. I had to do something about my weigh once and for all. I joined SP and signed up for BLC10 and lost roughly 10 pounds in the first year. I was guilty of the typical up and down yoyo cycle that many of us do but after another year, I managed to lose another 10 pounds. I began 2011 weighing roughly 178. Any th... Fri, 3 Jan 2014 15:32:55 EST I Have Arrived! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5558628 I had my annual physical yesterday. My last one was August 2012. I am 20 pounds lighter than I was then and 25 pounds lighter than I was on January 1, 2013.

My blood pressure is 106/62. It has NEVER been this low, even as a 124 pounds teenager, it was 110/70.

My current weight is 151. Higher than I expected but with the muscle mass I've gained from heavy lifting, I certainly don't look like I weight that much. My PT/N did a baseline biosignature modulation asses... Effective today I am down to 152, very close to my goal of somewhere between 138 and 142. My DH and I just celebrated our Silver Wedding anniversary this week. In looking at pictures with my kids, I was astonished to see the difference in my face, most of which has occurred in the past 10 weeks.

The first pic is from ... Have I Arrived or Do I Still Have a Ways to Go? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5537252 For the past 7-10 days I've been struggling with my goals. I mentioned before that hitting a normal BMI made me complacent. I found myself in my old pattern of "I've reached a goal I didn't think I could, so now I can relax a bit." As in the past, I found myself coming head to head with my self imposed glass ceiling. My inner voice was trying to convince me that I had arrived so it was ok to relax and enjoy the view. However, my goal was still just over the horizon. Still 16 pounds away... According to my muscle soreness, they must be cuz my pecs are killing me! TOM is on the way and my hormones are def off. I became complacent. Granted I started this journey as an obese individual, topping the scales at 198. But I want more than just normal!

It's true that I've been struggling to get back to a normal BMI for over 15 years! But complacent still isn't good enough! It resulted in a 7 pounds weight loss, which absolutely thrills me! We've had some crazy weather. Bitter cold one day, 60s the next. My running took a back seat while I recovered from an injury. I now have the ok to resume and I'm doing so slowly.

I've gotten back in to yoga and ST, which were both seriously lacking from my schedule. That's OK. I'm ready to hit the ground running this round. I've signed up for so many races this year, the training alone will keep me active. I've gotten the all clear from my ortho surgeon to continue doing EXACTLY as I have been. YES! As of today I am down over 30 pounds and I am securely in the 160s for the first time in 6 years. In fact I am 1 pound LESS than I was then! I’m beginning to think like a thin person. In fact I’m even visualizing myself as a thin person. For the first time since I started my Spark journey a few years ago, I’m feeling like I can and will succeed at this …… and SOON! Funny thing is I’ve only lost a touch over 25 pounds. I began my journey at 197 pounds, so I still have over 30 pounds to go to reach my goal of 138. I’m not even at my halfway point yet bu... In fact the only place I gained in inches was my calf muscle, which is 1/2" larger than it was six weeks ago. Considering it's all muscle, I'm fine with that.

That is not my only six week victory however. I've also gone from vegging on the couch and hibernating indoors to avoid the b...
